  1. Hey girls! Do you know if ROR bakes specialty wedding cakes or if there is just a standard one that everyone gets?
  2. Congrats on your wedding, Lori! I can't see the pics either... Can't wait to read your review!

  5. Thanks for your responses girls. I had always planned on using the resort photographer, but with so many on this forum using outside photographers, I started to worry that I wasn't doing the right thing. Now I feel better about my decision and will stop stressing Also, I'm definitely making a list of the pictures I want. Mo - I think I know what bride you're talking about who loved her pics but that I didn't...I did look like that was what she asked for.
  6. I tried mine on in ivory, but ordered it in white, so I didn't really see it til I went to pick it up. I love love love it!
  7. such a sweet story... when we got engaged, it was me, Mike and my puppy in the room, all laying down hanging out:)
  8. Question for all of the ROR brides... Is anyone using the resort photographer? I feel like I am the only one and am now nervous about it. Pictures were never that important to me, but reading all these posts and looking at the professional photographers pics on here are making me change my mind.

Just a thought...I have a friend who got married at an AI. She said that she was very upset that she paid $10/person for an open bar and their was a resort bar a few steps away. All her guests stayed at the resort so they could have drank for free anyway! I have the same problem and I'm so upset about it. It was the only time left on the day I wanted and I thought you could do an afternoon reception, but found out later you cannot. Chandlyn said the only reception availability is at 6:30. I'm just going to tell my guests to go back to enjoying their vacations or to come hang out at a bar with us. If you think of anything else, please let me know! I'm not paying for open bar after the ceremony, Chandlyn said they will bring rum punch out to the beach. But I am paying for open bar for dinner because there is no bar near the Plantation open at dinnertime.

I have a large bridal party (8 on each side), so with them and their spouses/dates and our moms, it would be a really big dinner. I would love to reserve it before I got there if I could.

And if people don't have dining reservations I was going to suggest going to St. Ann's buffet and we can just get large tables pushed together. Maybe I will word it: Please join us for a Private Happy Hour at the beach bar, Seagrape. We would like to officially welcome you there. If you do not have any dinner plans or reservations feel free to join us at St. Ann's following the cocktail party." How does that sound? I just don't want people to feel like I am forcing them to eat as a group with everybody. some may want to dine alone and I'm fine with that. I was planning on having the beach bar party for about an hour to an hour and a half so we can go eat at around 7-7:30. That sounds like a good plan and the wording of the invite is good too...thanks! (Sorry, I feel like I'm totally stealing all of your ideas!)

I just don't want the dinner part to be mandatory people can do whatever they would like as long as they stop by the beach bar and get their OOt bag! Mo Chandlyn got back to me last night. She said I can have my rehearsal at 6:00 and then go to Seagrapes at 6:30 on the night before my wedding. I want to do this, but I'm wondering how to inform people to eat beforehand. Since the party is around "dinnertime", I don't want them to show up thinking there will be food. What do you suggest? Also, do you know how long the party lasts...6:30 til ?

I got candles in our colors and starfish/sand dollars to scatter around the frames. Once I get it all done, I'll post a picture of what the table number frames look like.
  21. I plan to send them to everyone I sent STDs, even if I know they're not coming. I feel that some would be offended (mostly older aunts, parent's friends, etc) if they didn't get one. Also, people may want to have it as a keepsake.

  23. Hey girls! I was on Trip Advisor this morning and there were a bunch of new reviews of the ROR...all were wonderful! Makes me feel a lot better, after some not-so-great reviews of the past month.
