  1. Just to add a different perspective to this... I was out last night with my sisters and their friends and I was asking them about what I should do. They told me that we are in Jamaica at an AI and no matter what people are going to have a good time, whether it's an hour or 5 hours between the ceremony and reception. They told me to stop worrying so much, that everyone can go back to doing their own thing or go to the bar with us and meet up for dinner. So, I'll keep trying to think of ideas; but I think that they're right and I should just relax and let it be if I don't come up with some brilliant plan.
  2. Have a great time!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it, and of course see pics!
  3. Jaime! I'm getting married there 11 days after you...how exciting! There are a lot of ROR brides on here, can't wait to hear more of your plans.
  4. I am planning not to see him, I think it will be more special that way. I want him to sleep somewhere else the night before too. But, I don't have to deal with running into him during the day because my wedding is so early (at noon)!
  5. I would love to hear the answers to this question. My cousin who is a hairdresser is coming to the wedding, so I want to ask her if she'll do my hair, but I have no idea what the "going rate" is to pay her. Thanks for starting this thread!
  6. Jenny and congrats on your engagement! You can talk about all the girly stuff that goes into a wedding til your heart is content on this forum...we love it!

  9. Those glasses are soooo great! Wow, your sister really does know you, doesn't she? Don't worry about your dress. 2 weeks is more than enough time to get anything done, if need be.

  17. My FI is saying that he doesn't want to get boutonnieres (sp?) for him and the groomsmen because it would look weird since they are not wearing suit jackets, just button down shirts. What do you all think?
  18. to the forum, Erica! Prepare to get addicted!!!

It is really annoying. Just make sure you tell her exactly what you want before you assume that it cannot be done. I have found the same thing to be true. For example, she sent me 3 menus for the dinner at the Plantation, each costing $25-35 per person. After asking her a few times specifically whether or not there was a menu that is "included", she said that there is. So, if I did not directly ask her this question, I would have ended up paying a lot more money for the reception dinner!
