  1. I was going crazy trying to think of something, but Mike said he really doesn't want to exchange gifts. So, I told him our wedding bands will be it. I'll buy his and vice versa. I think he said it because he knows how much I stress out trying to find the "perfect gift" and he's trying to take some of the stress off of me, which it really does!

  3. I haven't really thought about it yet, but this is what I'm guessing: something new: dress, veil, etc. something borrowed: (ask one of my sisters for earrings maybe) something blue: probably a garter something old: my dad's pendant pinned inside my dress

Breakfast in bed? lol I am getting the "Free Wedding" package and then just adding stuff on. The stuff that they're offering in the upgraded packages (natural body exfoliation, breakfast in bed, etc) doesn't really interest me.
  6. I just found these and thought they were cute. They could totally be done yourself though too. (This website has a lot of great gift ideas). Monogrammed Wedding Flip Flops - Morgan & Company
  7. My plan is to wear white flip flops with rhinestones on them at the wedding, "Just Married" flip flops afterwards during the day, and then cute white heels for the reception. So, yeah, I will have 3 pairs of shoes! Go for it...You only get married once, right?!!?

How much are the "legal" fees and the cost of the minister? I am actually trying to figure out if cost of the royal package is actually worth 750.00? I just checked the RIU website and I went to the weddings section and acted like I was booking a date and chose "Free Wedding 2008". This is what came up on the page that you can choose additional options (flowers, music, etc): Prices are subject to change without prior notice: Jamaica - Ocho Rios ClubHotel Riu Ocho Rios Free Wedding Package 2008 = 250,00 USD But, then I just went back and read this: * MINISTER, PRIEST OR JUDGE SERVICE, LEGAL DOCUMENTATION & FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED. So, I have no idea what the $250 is for! Do you want me to email Chandlyn to find out?
  10. Some of these are really crazy! Marriage Folklore and Superstitions Every culture has superstitions surrounding marriage and the wedding day itself. Many superstitions are so ingrained they have become a regular part of wedding traditions. The reasons why a bride wears white, wears a veil, why the groom carries the bride over the threshold, the placement of the best man, the reasons why there is a best man and bridesmaids, why we still decorate the get a way vehicle with noisy items, and why the bride should have something old, new, borrowed blue… these all come from wedding folklore and superstition. 11. I would love to hear what else needs to be done. I'm 8 1/2 months out and feel like I've hit a lull too. I want to start doing more, but feel like maybe it's too early for some things. If anyone has a DW timeline, I would love to see it!
  12. I agree that you should definitely find a place to try it on first. Also, be sure to check the online store's return policy!
  13. Mo - Hope you're having a great time at your "No Shower Happy Hour" Bachelorette Party in Sea Isle! Can't wait to hear all about it and of course see pictures!

  15. I'm definitely not letting my FI see my dress beforehand. I want it to be a surprise. I'm pretty sure it is one of those "bad luck" things (not that I would worry about that though).
