  1. OMG...it is beautiful! You look so happy!!! It will look amazing on your wedding day!
  2. You should go back and buy it tomorrow if it's the one you really want. I'm sure a tailor could sew it, and it probably wouldn't be too expensive if it's only 1 rip.
  3. That's crazy they don't have it online. Did you try ebay?
  4. What about Etsy :: Your place to buy and sell all things handmade That site has all handmade stuff. I just went and typed in "lariat" and 69 pages of stuff came up.

Needle nose plyers are about the only thing you'd need. I am last person to DIY anything! But I was thinking the same thing when I saw these necklaces. Shelley, you especially could do something like this!
  6. Here is a thread where we were talking about this before: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ding-fees.html And here is a thread with pics and prices of different decorations and flowers: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...apher-riu.html
  7. Ewww...that is so gross looking! But at least it's working!!! Good job!
  8. It's crazy...the reviews of ROR on Trip Advisor are either totally negative or totally positive, never in-between. I do get a bit worried reading these, but it seems like a lot of it is people who are a little "anal". Like come on now, who cares if some of the headphones on the plane don't work?!?? And, the fruit basket... You just got married to the man/woman of your dreams and your one big concern is where your free fruit basket is! My concern, which I keep reading over and over, is about the lack of customer service at the front desk and from management at RIU Ocho Rios. But, hopefully, we're all prepared enough to deal with it.
  9. When you book the "free" wedding, it actually costs $250 (I don't know what this charge is for though). Then the cost for fees is $250 I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I think... The disco costs $250 for 2 hours and includes dj and open bar. If you have open bar at dinner, there is a $10 charge per person.

  12. What a great idea, I would love to get a card like that! You are so creative!

  14. I just emailed Chandlyn asking her about the menus - (1) if they will be on the tables or if we need to print them out, (2) if our guests need to decide beforehand which meal they would like, and (3) if beer and wine are definitely included. You know she takes awhile to get back to me, but when she does, I'll let you all know!!!

I have 65+ people and I'm using the included menu and paying $10 per person for open bar. But I noticed on the menu that Chandlyn sent me, that drinks included wine AND beer. Does anyone know for sure if this is correct? I am going to pay the extra, but if your guests aren't big on mixed drinks, that could save you some money.

  19. Oh my God, Heidi, my heart just stopped for a second when I read the title of this thread. I am so unbelievably sorry for your loss. I know from other posts that you weren't close to him, but it's still your dad. I'm sorry for all that you've been through with him and that you will now never get "closure". There are no words that I can say to make it better. Just know that I'm here if you need to talk. Please keep yourself and your baby safe and healthy during this hard time.

What is in the included dinner option. I thought that I saw it on here before, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks!!! Here is the included menu. To be honest, it doesn't really look all that different from the menus that cost $25-35 per person. I have no idea how they work out what guests pay if they have day passes, you should definitely check with Chandlyn on that. 22. Mo - You are a hottie! You don't look fat AT ALL...you're crazy! When you find out what the total pricing is, I would love to know. I think I may definitely use her for my BD pics (if I get up the courage to do them!).
  23. Glad to hear it went well (except the $230!). Tell FI to get his a** to bed...lol!
