I told her that I am expecting 65-80 guests and she told me the charge is $250 per hour for the Plantation.
  2. I'm so glad you decided to finally join...that's great! You sound like you really have a lot of it under control. Congrats and welcome!!! Let us know how else we can help you.

  4. Wow, what a cool location! I hope he can get an hourly rate, that would be great.

Do you remember the bride who was putting together a little booklet? I would be so interested in obtaining one, if she would be ok with that. Would you have her contact information? Having this forum is a godsend! I just emailed you the menu, let me know if you don't get it for some reason. Mo (mobride) is the one who is creating a booklet. I think we all are actually, I just probably won't get around to doing it for awhile. We'll all definitely share what we do. Let us know what else you need.

  7. to the forum! So glad we can help you plan. When I first asked Chandlyn about the dinner, she sent me 3 menus to choose from (ranging from $25-35 per person). It was only after asking her directly if there was a "free" menu that she emailed me that one. I know it is posted in one of the threads in the Jamaica section of the forum. If you can't find it, let me know and I can email it to you. Let us know what else you need help with!!!
  8. Michelle, you look great in both of them! It's so hard to choose, but I think I like the second one better. Let us know what you decide.

  12. I sent out magnets that I got at Party Basics, Custom Printed Products at the LOWEST prices! Quick Delivery!. They were very reasonable and great quality. I included our website address on the magnet and also put my TA's business card in the envelope.

It was a great experience, and I have two dresses that I really like. I will post the pics shortly! Glad you had a lot of people to go with you, that must have been hard without your mom there though. I am going to look for your pics now!!!!

Tammy, I think that my TA signed a contract, but I will check with her to make sure. Thanks for the advice!

My TA told me that she has 40 rooms reserved at a certain rate. Also, she has a deal with them that I get a free room for every 25 people booked. Why didn't she or I have to put a deposit down?
  16. to the forum! There are tons of Cabo brides here that can help you. Happy Planning!!!
  17. I'm not getting married there, but I wanted to you anyway!
  18. I love your flowers and your dress! Looks like it was a great time! Congrats!!!!
  19. That's so funny, I was actually on their website yesterday sending my mom links to dresses I think she would like for my wedding. They do have a lot of cute stuff and it's really marked down. Thanks Amy!
  20. I did not have to do this. I have 65+ guests coming and they each had to put down a deposit with my TA to reserve their spot, but she hasn't even given a deposit to the RIU yet. She said their deposit was more so she knew who was really serious and committed to coming. She somehow has reserved a block of rooms, but the deposit isn't due for a few months. I'm not sure how TAs work, but this seems like a good deal to me as I would be very nervous putting that much money down!
  21. Have a safe trip and a wonderful time! Can't wait to hear all about it and of course see pics!!!
  22. Paula, That's such a great and useful list... thanks for posting again!
  23. Almost every bachelorette party I've been to, there have been girls there that aren't invited to the wedding. It's usually more of just a night out to party, not a formal wedding activity. I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding and we have her bach. party next weekend. I know that a lot of the girls are bringing friends, I may bring my sisters, etc. I think you can invite anyone you want!
