My hair is always up, I try to wear it down and within an hour, it's up in a bun or ponytail. So, I think it would look weird if my hair was down or curled or anything.

It will be a chance for us to party with those not coming to Mexico. For those who ARE COMING to Mexico it really does seem unfair to ask them to pay to come to a party for us... so I won't. For anyone whose paid their deposit on the trip I'm going to GIVE them a ticket. All drinks/food is included so for them it will just be a "get to know everyone coming to the wedding" party! We're truly not looking to make any money off our wedding which is part of why we chose destination in the first place. However, the $ we bring in from the S&D will enable us have a little more at the wedding we are having. And people don't feel like they're donating. So that's the master plan! Special thanks to the Canadian girls for helping me explain the whole Stag & Doe concept and sharing their stories!! Jenn That sounds like a great plan, Jenn! Keep us updated on how it goes!
  3. I had it all planned in my head because we had been talking about getting married in Jamaica for a few years. We got engaged on Saturday, April 21 and I seriously sent my TA an email on Sunday, April 22 to start planning. My friends are still laughing at how nuts I am... Catherine & Kate, just do as much as you can without the ring and try not to stress too much. When you do get it, it will be soooo exciting and you'll already be so ahead of the game.

Tom and I went to Helen GA for Oktoberfest on Friday night, spent the night, and then went to 5 wineries in GA before the wedding (great idea at the time, bad idea when I saw this video). Our friend was the videographer and we were just messing around -- but still. He took the audio off before sending it to me (but basically I'm screaming "woo-hoo" and then, "we are sssoooo happy for you" in my sexy, slurry drunk voice). Enjoy... My reception starts at 6:30, so if I had the Plantation for 4 hours, then it would be over right in time for the disco!

But, I figure it will help to bring the doughnut thing with me. Are you wearing a veil? I want to have the chignon a little higher to be able to put a veil under it. But, I hope I can easily remove it for the reception. Too funny...I actually chopped my hair too right after we got engaged, thinking I had plenty of time for it to grow back, but now it seems like it's taking forever! There is a Sally Beauty right near me, I'll stop in to check it out...thanks! Yes, I'm wearing a veil. I'm thinking the same as you, wear it for the ceremony and then take it off for the reception.
  7. Hmmm...for some reason, I didn't even think about staying at the Plantation for the full 4 hours. I knew it was available, but didn't think of it. Now that I'm hearing all of your responses, I'm wondering if maybe I should do that instead of 2 hours there and 2 hours at the disco
  8. Reggie, thank you for your kind words. Heidi is an amazing person and great friend to all of us. You two deserve nothing but happiness. Enjoy your weekend away!

That is the exact hairstyle I want too! I love it!!!! Thanks for posting this pic, Morgan.

My cousin, who will also be a guest at the resort and is attending the wedding, is going to do the photography for my wedding. It is my understanding that outside photographers are allowed as long as they are a guest of the resort. Is this information correct? Is there a fee/fine if I do not use the resort photographer? I would just like to make sure that I properly allocate the correct amount of funds to each area of my wedding. Your assistance is truly appreciated. Thank you, ------------------------------- Chandlyn Response: Hi Davina For information on Photo arrangements, please contact Michael at [email protected] as he will be better able to assist you. Regards Chandlyn So, she really didn’t answer my question at all and referred me to Michael. I really really don’t like how he responded to you girls and I would prefer to get the information from someone at the resort, not Michael, who has a contract with the resort. I’m just becoming so nervous because It’s my favorite cousin (who will have her brand new baby with her) who is doing my pictures and I will not have anyone giving her a hard time. If I were you, I'd contact Michael and explain the situation. It's possible that he'll be understanding about it. But, more likely, if he's not, maybe you could contact RIU Corporate and have them get something in writing for you allowing you to "break the contract" with Photoshop. Do you have a TA that could do this for you? They may be more willing to listen if they know how much business you're bringing them (sad, but probably true!).

  19. Wow! I just counted 21 ROR brides!!! So fun
  20. She usually takes about 1 week to respond. I'm sure if you have 10-12 people, she can definitely find a place for you, don't worry too much. You should try to email her again at the end of the week if you don't hear back.
  21. We are having the dj for 2 hours at the Plantation. I figure that he can introduce us, we'll do our first dance and then speeches, then he can play music while we eat dinner. Then, I rented out the disco for 2 hours, thinking we can just go and dance there.
  22. I really like all the starfish necklaces on overstock...thanks for the link!

I was working on mine last week and it was 35 pages!!!! So, maybe doing it as a booklet and using smaller font like you did would work better for me.

I think it is at least $700 new, so alterations couldn't possibly be more than $600 could they?? I really have no idea I would definitely get it if I were you. That price is just too good to pass up. And it's true that you can always resell it if it really doesn't fit.
