  4. I love the red ones! I say red for the ceremony and white for the reception (because your dress is short).
  5. Did anyone have parasols instead of bouquets? I've seen pics with the bridesmaids using both, but none of just parasols. I just got a quote from the RIU for the bouquets I want and they are $174 each! And I need 9 of them!!! So, to save me a TON of money, I'm thinking of nixing the flowers. If anyone did do this, how did your BMs feel about walking down the aisle holding parasols?

  8. I am still sending them, but I think it's a personal preference. We actually stopped at the post office this morning to get stamps for the invitations and Mike told me that I'm crazy to still send out invites for that exact reason - we know who is coming and who is not already. I think if you like invitations and have the time/money to do them, then go for it. But if it's going to be a hassle or too expensive, then skip it. (Sorry, that wasn't much help was it?!?)
  9. to the forum! I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Please let us know what you need help with!

The paper was around 25 cents per sheet. For the inner circle I used white cardstock. I don't have them in front of me, but I'm guesstimating that they are about 4". My sister had a circle die cutter at her school and used the biggest circle cutter she had for the colored paper and the second biggest circle for the white paper.
  11. Yay! You must be soooo excited! I can't wait to see the pics!

  13. I found a great seller on ebay express. I was able to customize the picture and font and it was so inexpensive. I ordered 50 placecards including shipping for $14. It's probably an easy DIY, but for me it was worth the money to just have them made! The seller's store is eBay My World - kim82600. Here's a pic of mine:
  14. I am hoping to have someone read the lyrics of the Irish Wedding Song, it's beautiful. I also like the "Art of Marriage". Unfortunately, I'm at work and don't have them saved on this computer...

  16. Awww Jaime, I'm sorry all of this is happening. I don't have any words of wisdom, but wanted to say I hope this gets figured out sooner rather than later.
  17. I don't know how I am going to use this, but I want to somehow. This is the perfect poem for me and my dad: Dear Lord please clear a spot for him: he should have the perfect view. His little girl's a Bride today, and I am counting on you. Let me feel his presence; as I journey down the aisle. But let me notice his absence; if only for a while. Let me stop to think of him; As I am given away. And know that if he could; he would be here with me today. Dear Lord please clear a spot for him; he should have the perfect view. And if he should get sad today; Dear Lord I count on you.
  18. Thanks for all of your input girls! I need to stop over thinking, it seems like it's not that big of a deal.
  19. Hey girls! I know I read a post about giving a list of required pictures to the photographer. I've searched for it, but can't locate it. Does anyone have a list like this saved or know what the thread is called? TIA!
