  2. I say go for the Jacuzzi Suite! If I was staying at the RIU for our honeymoon, I would definitely do it. I had the choice between the Jacuzzi Suite for our wedding or a crazy nice place for our honeymoon and I chose the latter. I think you will spend more time IN your room during the honeymoon than you do during the wedding when all of your guests are there.
  3. Just found this: Rainy season gets underway in May on the island of Jamaica, but that doesn't mean vacationers should stay away. Most days are sunny until early afternoon. The sun is also getting warmer this time of year, and vacationers who like their weather more than just a little warm may find May to be an appealing option. Typical Weather in May During May the temperatures in Jamaica typically vary between a daily high of about 86.0 degrees and a daily low of approximately 75.0 degrees Jamaica in May: Key Facts Monthly Averages High Low Rainfall (inches) No. of Days with Rain 86.0° F 75.0° F 5.9 N.A. In May, temperatures typically rise to around 85.4 degrees by early afternoon. By the early evening hours in May the temperature will generally fall to somewhere in the vicinity of 80.2 degrees. 4. I sure hope not since I'm getting married right after you!!!! Uh oh...just read this: Weather and Climate in Jamaica Generally the Jamaican climate is delightful. The average temperature is 77°F (25.5°C) in the winter months and 82°F (28°C) in the summer, but the island's climate is strongly affected by the sea, which can produce cloud cover, rain and wind, and have a sudden effect on temperatures. The coastal plains of the north shore benefit from the Tradewinds that blow off the Atlantic. These are supplemented by morning and evening breezes caused by the land heating up by day and cooling at night. In the mountains, the evenings may be a little cold, so you might want to take a light wrap or jersey. Rain-showers are frequent, particularly in the northeast, though the sun usually comes out immediately afterwards and dries up all the rain. The winter season (December to April) has the nicest climate, hot and sunny by day and warm at night. In July, August and September particularly (but in fact any day when it is still and there is no cloud) it can be very hot. There are two rainy seasons, in May, and from August to October, but even then it doesn't rain every day. If you do go walking in remote places or in the mountains, then you will probably want to take a waterproof jacket.
  5. Love them, Carly! Any of them will look great, but I can totally picture you wearing the orange one.

  8. to the forum! Happy planning!!!
  9. My SIL is trying to get pregnant and she is one of my BMs. She ordered a size larger than her usual size (because at the most she will be 4 months pregnant) and then ordered extra material. We asked the bridal shop owner and she assured us that she could use the extra material to "rework" the dress if need be.
  10. Yay! Have a fun time!!! Bring a pair of shoes with you the same height that you think you may want to wear for the wedding, just to get an idea of how it will look. I can't wait to see pics!
  11. to the forum! I am getting married at the ROR in May. Let us know how we can help you finish up your planning.

  14. Congrats on finding your dress! It looks so nice and light. You look great in it.
  15. I got mine too and love them! Thanks for telling us about them, Jenn. I got a mixed assortment of 12 different flowers (because I couldn't make up my mind!).
  16. I'm flying AJ. My TA said I could carry it on and they would hang it in the first class closet. Maybe try giving them a call to double check though.

It's an invitation website (where I ordered mine) and they have lots of examples of wording.

  21. I just finished my invitations. I kept it simple and wrote "Love Makes Life Paradise..." and then all the traditional stuff (our names, date, location, etc). I think they turned out really cute.
  22. I noticed a little icon on my toolbar at work that is a tracking thing. Every morning I turn it off, but I'm not sure if it actually totally turns off. I just started this job a few months ago, so I'm just waiting to get called in and reprimanded. But it's just so hard to go all day without logging in here!
