You probably won't really feel the baby move until about 22 wks. The size of your bump does not determine how healthy your baby is. I carried alot in my back, so I didn't have a huge bump. My daughter was 7lbs 3oz and completely healthy Don't worry.. once you get your bump you won't remember what it was like not to be big and uncomfortable So take advantage of it Thanks, that makes me feel better! I was just so frustrated after hearing that I look "so small" all weekend and then this morning I decided to start wearing maternity clothes because I'm halfway through my pregnancy and have a bunch of clothes I want to wear and then all of the pants were too big! I can't wait til I "pop" (even though I'll probably be bitching about being "too big" in a few weeks...lol!).
  2. Martha & Lisa - good luck at your appointments today! Karma - sorry to hear about the BH I was at a wedding and a baby shower this weekend. I've been feeling proud of my little bump until now. Almost every single person said my bump was so cute, but when they found out how far along I am, they all thought I looked so small. I've been stalking 20 week belly bump pics online and now I think I do look too small. I've gained about 10 lbs., but I really don't know where it all went. My waist is thicker and I have a small bump, but that's about it. When did you girls all "pop" I'm starting to get worried, especially because I only feel the baby every so often at night when I lay down; I'm really hoping that nothing is wrong with the baby.
  3. Yay! Erica, I can't believe your day is almost here. I remember when you got engaged...wow how time flies! I love all of your stuff, especially all of your bling. You're going to have such a beautiful wedding.
  4. I was on the pill for almost 10 years and left it at home (on purpose) when we left for our wedding on May 10. I found out on June 18 that I was 4 weeks pregnant. So be prepared that it may happen right away!!! I thought it would take at least a month and honestly thought it would take probably 3-6 months to get pregnant, but it obviously didn't. I couldn't be happier!!!
  5. I am so sorry for your loss. There is no "right" decision and I cannot imagine having to make a decision like that. We're here for you no matter what you decide. You and your family are in my thoughts.
  6. Karma - I am so sorry to hear about your friend's baby. They are in my prayers. Martha - I think you definitely need to tell your doctor that you want to be tested again. (BTW - I never heard of that test, so thanks for all of you for bringing it up.) Lisa - You look adorable and you definitely look like you dropped.
  7. You should definitely look for a new doctor after Noah gets here. Even if a doctor is busy, you are his patient and he needs to make time for you. You had questions and concerns that he needed to answer. You shouldn't have to resort to looking online for answers. I'm sorry, Martha

Do you really think he will keep it a secret? Yeah, he's good like that. If it was me on the other hand, there's no way I could keep my big mouth shut...lol! I just wanted him to find out along with me on the day that the baby gets here, but oh well.

The baby is perfectly healthy. BUT the u/s tech slipped and said what it is. Thankfully I didn't hear her, but Mike did...ugh! I know he'll keep it a secret from me and everyone else, but I hate that he knows.
  10. Thanks girls! I'm having a very nice birthday. Mike surprised me by actually picking out my present all by himself (it's usually 3 weeks late and I'm picking it out) - Tiffany earrings and a necklace! He did very well:) We went to see the baby at an ultrasound appointment this morning. Tonight we're going to my favorite sushi place (I know, I know, I can only eated cooked sushi) and then maybe to the Flyers game. All in all, a great day!
  11. I can't believe all 5 of you are so close! So exciting!!! Martha, I can't wait to see pictures of the nursery! I have my next ultrasound on Wednesday (my birthday!). This is the one where we can find out what we're having, but we're not going to (Mike's all pissy about it, but I really want to wait and be surprised). I'm just so excited to see the baby again, I can't wait!!!

  13. I love Margaritaville! We'll have to plan a BDW get-together in AC (after our babies our born of course so we can actually enjoy the margaritas!).
  14. It's so good to hear from you. I hope you feel better and better every day. For now, enjoy all of the attention:)

  16. I worked as a manager at an MRI center for 5 years. Numerous times I had patients call that did not have insurance. Our standard rate for out-of-pocket payments was $975. BUT we also had "hardship forms" that they could fill out that included how much they paid in rent, bills, etc. and their income; then my manager would make a determination on the cost (usually between $200-$600) and we would set up a payment plan. Try calling local MRI places and see if they offer anything like this. Good luck! BTW - if a patient pays out of pocket for the MRI it is seen as a good thing by the company because a lot of times it is than they end up getting from insurance companies.
