the same thing just happened to me - keith took it upon himself to order tiny envelopes. when i asked the post office how much it would cost in postage, they said between $.70-$1.00 per envelope, PLUS b/c they are so small, there's a strong possibility they'd get lost....so we had to order bigger ones.

yeah, i'm less than 6 months....haven't done oot bags (don't know how many), can't contact wc to finalize menu, flowers, etc (tho have been in touch w/ her supervisor), going to send out invites w/in 2 weeks, don't have shoes, hair appt, etc... do have invites almost done, bought dress, bridesmaids/groomsmen done, FI done, registry done, place booked and plane tickets bought. now i'm panicking! i thought a lot of this should be done once we're actually at the resort...?

i have a big rat's nest on top of my head, which i too cannot wait to cut off after the wedding. when i was little, my hair was so frizzy and curly that my mom would put a barrette in one side and by the time she was done putting the other in, the first one would pop out. now, it's frizzy and curly and thick and coarse and big and i ALWAYS wear it up during the summer. FI likes it up b/c i'm small and have too much hair. for the wedding, it'll be up - i don't want a single piece touching my sweaty neck. i'll probably wind up doing something like edyta, with both a veil and a tiara (hey - when will i ever be able to wear either one again!?).

dj extassis doesn't speak english - we're using him and his liason is actually kristin from dazzling details...([email protected]) email her and ask her about extassis. he's $545 for 4 hrs, and we're getting lights too, total of $720 for 4 hrs...the only downfall is that b/c he doesn't speak english, you need a friend/family member to MC.

tell them the choice is the dress you picked out or a skimpy white bikini....(that's what i threatened one of my bridesmaids w/ after wearing celedon in her wedding!). i'd say set a time limit. i'm a planner too, and get really frustrated when ppl put things off, esp. if there's a chance that the dress will have to be ordered, and then altered, etc. give them a month, or maybe until the 6 month mark before picking out the dress for them.

i think the most important thing is making sure the guests are having a good time, and are happy. however, if you look at our budget, the most expensive things so far are travel and photography (which are still 2 good ways to spend the $$).
