  1. where to begin?? dear parents of students, please remember that i am only one person and that i've been hired to teach 20 children, not just yours. and... dear self, chocolate is not officially a food group. remember that.
  2. ok i'm totally in for 5 lbs... i checked out and signed up for sparkpeople but i got annoyed with the website.
  3. never heard of sugaring! i've recently fallen in love with laser hair removal, but i was waxing before that. i also use the sally hansen no-heat wax, when i have to...and i know it's sick, but i like threading !

Well... not true for everyone, but I had SO many dresses picked out on-line and when I tried them all on I hated almost every single one of them! Quite amazing actually. So, start calling around and find some shops that have them. my thoughts exactly: 1)you have quads!?!?! wow - i saw 4 babies too, and thought that you couldn't decide on halloween outfits!!! 2) you MUST try them on. i picked out a dress from david's bridal that i was definitely going to get, yadda yadda...so i go and it's atrocious. the way it looked in person, the fabric, the way it looked on - the only way to describe it was EW! i like the first one the best, prob. b/c i've never seen it before, and i know for a fact that i tried on 2 and 3. i'm a big fan of dresses that are less popular, but hey, that's just me. i say go try #1 on but keep an open mind and try on anything that your friends/family/salesperson throws at you.
  5. susan, everything looks great! you're so well prepared!!!!! relax and enjoy the last few days of being single
  6. the bottles themselves didn't take long...had an assembly line going (w/ just the two of us...). the time consuming part was the invitations. we ripped the edges off of each one by hand, and used eyelets and tools to attach the two pieces of paper. then rolling them and tying them was pain. i did it in stages, so it took a few hours over a few days. nothing that couldn't have been accomplished on a lazy sunday. the glass bottles were more to ship, and we probably wouldn't have done it if we had more than 60 to do...but keith was afraid the plastic ones would look cheap, and we didn't want to risk it. i've gotten a few phone calls/emails about how cute they were...however, a good portion of our guests were not clever enough to leave the string hanging out when they re-rolled and put back in, so i've received a few phone calls/emails bitching about that...and also about how they got sand on their counters.... if it's not bitching about the destination, or time of year, then it's gotta be the invites.... oh well, i like them
  7. i dress up every year b/c i'm a teacher, but we've only dressed up for 3 halloweens together, but the first one we didn't take pics...the 2nd was my siggy - all of our awesome 'couple' ideas were taken by other ppl in our party....so we got stuck as kelly and ozzy osbourne...keith made a pretty good ozzy, but in this pic he smiled too big and showed off a beautiful double chin...the 3rd, we dressed up as csi agents (actual costumes from the show) but i was so pissed off that night b/c it was HOT and i was wearing coveralls that were 29028 sizes too big when i could have been wearing less clothing here's a csi pic: i don't know why the pic is messed up tho... won't be dressing up as a couple this year b/c my shower is the sat. before halloween...so i'll settle for this...
  8. if things weren't 'normal', the dr would have called instead of the tech. yay!!

  15. i can't think of anything (i think my bronchitis has made my brain stop working) but this thread reminded me of when my mom used to print out this travel check sheet everytime we'd go away, or when my sis and i went to sleepaway camp...everything from undies to bathing suits, sunblock to teddy bears (or lace teddies in this case )... it became a running joke in my family - maybe i'll do that for my guests ... sorry for hijacking!
