Return the China or Buy More?
1elephant replied to starchild's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
we only registered for china last minute b/c fmil kept asking why we didn't and gave us grief...but we didn't get any of it. the china we did register for looked like everyday dishes (nambe butterfly is the brand and style, i believe) so if we got it would could use it. i'm also the paper plate type, and i have no desire to find a place for something that i'll never use...that being said, we registered for nice silverware, which i thought would be used everyday, but fi only wants to use it on special occasions... so if you had 4 sets, that means that you'd only have 1 other couple over....would you really use good china for one other couple? i can't think of one other couple that would really care..... -

i think the hobbit would be the best bet. middle earth would be a very safe place for stashing wedding bands. -

me too, maria - i keep cards from fi, but not much else. my fmil and ffil are packrats and i NEVER want any room in my house (even the attic) to look like any room in theirs...so if i keep that in mind, it's easier to throw things out. i used to watch a show on tlc about people who had junk and then had a garage sale...everytime they did a house where the people couldn't part with things, they'd make a collage - either cut up pieces of all of the things and frame it (and hang it, not just stick it in the attic), OR take pics of the things and frame/hang it. let someone else get use out of things that you're not using...and if it's something that someone can't use (like a honeymoon sign) then cut it up and make a collage.

Oh well! i have curly hair too...i'm bringing LOTS of products, lol...it also depends on the time of year. didn't dreams in punta cana just open recently? that could be the reason for the mixed reviews, but dreams in pv also has mixed reviews....definitely talk to a travel agent and see what (s)he has to say....
