  1. i'm still in. i have the date in my book and i've already informed my sister that i'll be staying at her place the night before. i'll come w/o her this time tho..
  2. we had our bridal party wear them, but we didn't want to be wearing them for the ceremony...looking back, we wish we would have b/c we are quite squinty!
  3. CONGRATS!!! i hope it's everything you ever wished for!
  4. invisibleshield (one word) is the company for the screen protector and agent18 is for the case.
  5. jesus, we couldn't even go on our honeymoon w/o people trying to get in touch w/ dh! you'd think that he would have let you know before he went, especially at such a crucial time! fuck him. send that email to his boss.
  6. get a hard case for it - like an ipod case - and a screen protector so you don't scratch it. when dh gets home i'll ask him for the name of the company.
  7. the pens actually write really well too! usually pens like that write like poo!
  8. we registered for 'good china' but weren't going to use it as good china b/c it's so simple. it's the nambe butterfly set. we found it and registered for it the week before my shower, so we only got one set and returned it.
  9. mmm sangria! sounds like a great time! cute favors

Along those lines--- on occasion, we would drive around town the night before garbage day because we'd find nice furniture sitting curb-side to pick up for free. So forgot about those trips--- it's been about 15 years since I did stuff like that.... my parents used to do this for interesting lawn/garden items. they found great wheelbarrows, carts, and other items to use as planters. they also got me a bike one year, and who knows what else...what's the saying? one man's garbage is another man's treasure.
  12. my mil thought that she knew what i wanted even though i didn't register for it....so i had lots of stuff added to my registry too. i love that bbb gives back cash...the bad thing about returns is that no matter which bbb i go to for these returns, there is always a huge problem with something. last week, i brought back pillowcases that had been sent to my house and apparently still had security tags on them - i didn't even open the box b/c i knew what it was and had already received 4 sets (another bbb flaw). the ppl behind the counter told me that there was no way to return them b/c they had already been returned to another store....um, well, then how the hell did i get them??
  13. carly, i got my flower petals at ikea - ORANGE! they had other colors too, but i don't remember what. They were like $1.50 per box and each box was the same as the ones that michael's charges $10 for.
  14. See above for Vinegar question... i don't really like most vinegar-based dressings, but i'll answer the rest What do you look for in a salad dressing? yummy, low fat, but not low taste. How important is packaging? not really important at all How much do you usually pay for a gourmet type salad dressing? $5ish? idk, i don't normally buy gourmet anything else you can think of? alyssa, i don't know if you have wegmans near you, but i love their fat free parmesan italian. huge flavor, no fat, very low in calories. package looks like any store brand package. good luck!!!

Frankly, as long as the idea of sex isn't off-putting (ie., you dread it) you're fine. If you're really concerned talk to your Dr about it. She can change your BC, take you off of hormone BC (read: switch to condoms). [bTW, I went off the pill and switched to condoms and nearly killed FI with my renewed interest.] If in point of fact you're turned off by the idea, there may be some imbalance that can easily be corrected with a change in BC or other hormone replacement, but your Dr can tell you for sure. i think i wrote this in another thread. i just went off anti-depressants and bc and now my poor husband needs to tie me down to keep me away. i wanted nothing to do with him for about 3 years...lots of feigning interest...but now ... well, you can imagine. call your ob/gyn and see what (s)he says. worth a shot!
  17. ugh. i'm an underpaid teacher, so it doesn't affect me, but i don't pay the bills around here -b/c i couldn't afford them if i wanted to! dh is a mortgage broker. he owns his own company. needless to say, we'll be living on ramen soon. he is currently looking for a new job, but that's easier said than done. he's miserable and walks around with his head hung, self-loathing. there is nothing that makes him happy at this point. we bought our house about 2 years ago, and put a lot of work into it. we need to downsize, but can't b/c we can't sell the house for anything near what we paid. so in other words this economy blows.
  18. YAY!!! congrats!!!!! that's awesome!!! i like the idea of switching the underwear w/ diapers...OR you could get some sugar daddies and some sugar babies for him (that's the 2nd post in 2 days about sugar daddies from me...hrm.) anywho - AWESOME!! CONGRATS!
  19. how did i miss this thread? those are SEXY!!!! peter's gonna LOVE them!
  20. get bonine. it's the BEST thing ever! i can't even go on merry-go-rounds, but with bonine, i can hit the rollercoasters like i'm 15 again! (wow i sound like a bad commercial...) but REALLY - there is NOTHING better! it's 1/day, or 2 if you're REALLY bad...chewable, no side effects!
  21. up. i hate when i'm hot and my hair touches my neck. i'm glad you like both tho!
  22. what about putting styrofoam at the bottom, covering it with the pink paper and have lollipops sticking out? dum-dums, sugar daddies, etc. or, fill it 1/2 way with something to take up space, and cover the top w/ m&ms or other candies. then the shovels will have a purpose!
  23. cute idea! is there to booger-free them? i don't have to worry about my kids stealing my pens, as they still write in pencil, but everything they borrow comes back germy and probably covered in boogers.
  24. i love them all b/c they're orange. i don't know which would look best - imho, i almost think that they are all very busy and may take away from your dress....that being said, you really won't be carrying it, so i vote for number 2 b/c it's the brightest
