  1. i drink 4 bottles of water per day...the crystal light 'on the go' things make it easier b/c i don't love water unless i'm outside. nothing yesterday....took 4 pills today and a whole scoop of fiber. nothing until about 9:30 when i took a big dump i steeped my tea for 5 min today, so hopefully that'll help too.

  3. i weighed today at ww and i'm up 1.8 lbs this week. considering all i ate, that's really not bad. tonight's my junk night, and tomorrow i start fresh.
  4. well i guess last night was a fluke....i took 3 pills this morning (day 4) and 3/4 scoop. seeped my tea for 4 min tonight too...nothing. today i put my fiber in fruit punch and tasted nothing. i bought apple juice today and will start doing that tomorrow, tho now that i think about it, cranberry would have been a better choice. the only result that i AM seeing (after 4 days, lol) is that my pouch isn't as hard as it was...it's a little mushier, but hasn't gone down.
  5. i have not pooped since friday. i had 2/3 of a scoop today (even tho it's only day 3), and am currently drinking the tea (which isn't bad at all, except i have to pee SO badly when i wake up). i let it steep for 4 min, and i have some cramping right now, which i'm hoping is a good sign. i have no prob with the pills. they aren't even the biggest i've ever taken, which to me is kinda disturbing (i was a sick kid...always taking vitamins and medicines as a child). i've been using applesauce to hide the powder, but will buy apple juice tomorrow to try b/c the applesauce takes too long. it is a quick breakfast tho! EDIT TO UPDATE: (10 min later....) i pooped!!!! it was huge and stinky and everything i had dreamt of since friday! YAY!!
  6. don't you hate that?! i think the scale is lying on those days. esp. if you've been so good. remember, tho, that it's not necessarily what the scale says - it's how YOU feel...are your clothes any looser? do you feel healthier? btw, dh (who is normally a health nut and is paranoid that he'll end up like his parents, who are obese) says that studies show a 'cheat day' is good once a week or every other week to keep your metabolism working, and to prevent a shock to your system when you do eat something unhealthy. i usually make my cheat day the day i get weighed, but not till after weighing in. there's still a difference between a cheat day, and making unhealthy choices. on my cheat day, i'll come home from ww and have a spoonful of peanut butter, open a bottle of wine, and eat something like mac and cheese or pizza for dinner. an unhealthy choice would be like eating a piece of cake at a birthday party...not a killer for a diet, but not the healthiest choice you could make. to update the biggest loser club, i've offically had 7 cheat days this week. between teacher appreciation week, mother's day, and hosting a dinner at my own house (healthy-ish food, but 3 bottles of wine....), i'm a mess. i have no excuse for my behavior, and i plan to correct it as of tomorrow morning.
  7. personally, if it's just to say to each other (rather than for shirts or something), i'd just take my rings off and call it a bachelorette party - my friends and i had so much fun that even though most of us are married, we're going to take turns being the bachelorette and do it again every few months!

  9. Day 2: had the tea last night, but nothing this morning. just took the pills, so we'll see what happens.
  10. have company coming in about 5 min but just wanted to check in - took first part this morning (6:30 for pills, 6:45 for powder). had no prob w/ pills, but did burp up the taste, which was nasty. i mixed the powder w/ applesauce, leaving a tiny bit of unmixed applesauce on the side to have last, and didn't taste anything. literally farted around my house (i wish cars could run on my gas) for 10 minutes and then ... nothing. until about 4:30, when i just had to go. nothing immediate, but a nice, regular, leisurely dump. i'll tell you - i did feel lighter after! i'll keep you posted about the tea tonight.
  11. i'm planning on starting tomorrow...i'm SO afraid that i'm going to have to poop while teaching!!!
  12. my old neighbor called the cops on me at 7:00 on a friday night b/c i was watching finding nemo and the whale talk was vibrating her walls. i wanted to make sex noises against the walls before we moved, but dh said to be the better person.
  13. starting friday here too...that way i'm kinda home...we have a wedding sat night and we're staying over, so i'll have to have tea at wedding...plus sharing a hotel room w/ dh's bro and his gf hopefully the hotel will have a nice bathroom
  14. so teacher appreciation week is NOT helping me....thanks to the moms who are feeding me on a daily basis.... anyway, i have a few tips (not that i'm an expert, but just what i've learned as a lifetime ww member): 1) don't eat 8 chocolate chip cookies in one day like me. 2) any loss is a loss rather than a gain. period. 3) packaged meals (smart ones, lean cuisines, even healthy choice canned soups) are low in fat/calories/whatnot, but are SO high in sodium. make sure you drink an extra 8oz. of water if you choose to eat high sodium foods. 4) like glenda said, give into your cravings, but don't over-do it. if you want chocolate, have chocolate - something that's individually packaged, or an actual serving. if you don't give into your cravings, you'll eat EVERYTHING around you and still crave that specific food! 5) plan the week beforehand. i do my food shopping on sundays (or mondays occasionally) and plan what i'm having for the whole work week. i'll pick out 5 different dinners (tho i usually buy 3-4 nights worth of meat), and make 5 days worth of lunch on sunday night (in a gazillion little tupperwares). that way there are no surprises - you eat what you planned. if anything pops up, try to make your choice equivalent to the choice that you would have made at home. 6) pay attention to portion size. it's so easy to think that you're making a great choice when you have a salad at a restaurant, but the salad that they serve is 3x the recommended portion, which is 3x the dressing, 3x the chicken, etc. i've been known to ask for a to-go box before i start eating. that way i can't eat the whole thing in one sitting.
  15. i weighed in today...i go to ww either on tuesdays or wed. so i'll just snap a pic when i go...i dont think it matters what day your pic is from, so long as you get it to ann by wed....but i could be making up my own rules here...
  16. i got mine today, and will start taking it on friday...that way, hopefully, my first um...episode... is at home.
  17. i buy the cheapest ones i can find...why spend $16 for a piece of string? macys has great sales, as well as marshalls, tjmaxx, etc., and if you live in the tri-state (which i know you don't, abbie), then try century 21.
  18. i thought - tho i could be wrong - that oprah saw the whole thing and they let the audience see all except the last 20 minutes.

  20. i'm 5' even and wore floor length. i had a hollow-toe measurement, so it was specifically made for my height. it did look like a tiny communion dress when it was hanging tho
