stop thinking about season 3 - focus on season 2 people!!!!! i'm down 4.8 this week. i'm in the middle of the sacred heart diet and and quite proud of my loss!!!!! hope it stays off...

ok i'm off to walk my friend's dogs and then i'm going to the pool club. i know, sounds like the life...but then that's followed by 24 hrs of extreme boredom. martha, what do you do during the summers when jay isn't home? gimme some ideas!

a scarf! the gap has light ones for the summer so people can pretend they're french. get one of those and wear it for the next week!

i went to ww this morning and since i first started this diet i have lost approximately 3.4 lbs!!! like i've said, i don't have much to lose, but i'd LOVE if i could finish this diet -5lbs. this is day 4 for me. i've had 2 bananas and a bowl of soup. i HATE milk and am randomly lactose intolerant, so i'm going to wait until i get home from the pool club to drink some.

i LOVE them! how funny is that housekeeping sign?!

so a few months ago - march, perhaps - i brought my wedding gown to a local cleaner. i've used them before for a few things, but never for something like a gown. i asked woman #1 if they do wedding gowns - the girl said yes. i pay $100 b/c i only want it cleaned - not preserved, not boxed - and tell her i'll pick it up in a month. i had all intentions of selling it. the dress was very dirty, but i expected they would be able to get the majority of it out. i go to pick it up and it's in a box. i bring it home and debate - do i open to see if it's clean or leave it? i open it. it's filthy. looks like it was never touched. i could have done a better job with some oxyclean or something. i bring it back, woman #2 says she'll have it redone. i go to pick it up A MONTH AFTER it's supposed to be done - it's not there. they were supposed to call me to tell me where it was - never did. i called them, they say it'll be in tomorrow. that was last wednesday. school ended, i had a family party at my house, things settle down and finally yesterday i go to pick it up. it's still disgusting and now there's a mark on the bottom where there was not before. woman #1 is working, and tells me that she agrees, it's gross. gives me the # of the manager, and takes my number, says he'll call in the morning. i take the dress with me. 20 minutes later, i bring it back b/c i don't want responsibility for it. woman #1 agrees, puts it back on the line. no phone call this morning..i walk into the cleaners to see if the guy is there, woman #2 doesn't believe that i've actually looked at it and that it's still dirty. i tell her i'm not taking it until i have my money back. she gets a tude, tells me there's nothing she can do and that i should call the manager/owner/whatever. i get home and call - goes to voicemail. i leave an angry message, b/c now i'm effing pissed. so now what? apparently the manager/owner doesn't work there, he works at the plant and is never in the actual store. he's not going to call me back. as i see it, my options are to wait till tomorrow and go in and demand that they call him while i'm there and/or demand my money back (so i can possibly go to a good, responsible cleaners and that's only if they're willing to try) and threaten bbb. i'm sorry this is so long, but dh is away on business and everyone i know is at work so i have no one to bitch to....anyone see any other options?

i have emails into about 20 restaurants to see what they can do for small private or semi-private parties - buddakan is one of them, and now asia de cuba is another! i'm REALLY interested in public, which serves kangaroo! keep the ideas coming!

so dh turns 30 in november. he wants a party at tao in nyc. HAHAHAHA - right - way too much $! anyone have any suggestions for places in nyc? here are the requirements: - it can't be indian or italian - the crazier the food, the better. asian/pan asian fusion would be perfect, but not a requirement. - must be able to provide sit down dinner and drink for 12-20 people. - a private room would be great, but as long as we can all sit together, we're ok. i have emails into kion lounge and forbidden city to see what they would charge for a small party. i did email tao, just to see if the skybox would be available, and emailed libation, who said that after dinner, we'd have to order bottles, which are between $200-$500 PER BOTTLE!!! and the list - things like ketel one, for 5 people - - - $300!!!!!!! obviously includes table service, but not tax and tip. also, anytime in october or november is great - i am thinking thanksgiving weekend b/c his best friend will be around, but if that weekend will be extra, then i'd pick another weekend. i'm going to try to make this a surprise, but idk if it'll work... tia for all of your help!!!!

we got our mib stuff from Sand Blast Entertainment. they have colored sand. i think oriental trading does too.

i loved the board room dance from last year. they referred to it this past week.
