i'm sorry i missed this thread!!!!! i used gaby. i struggled with whether or not to hire an outside wc, but after i got dazzling details' quote? oh HELL no. to be honest, i did the work. she went along with whatever i did, but i did all of the work. i found a dj, i told her what to rent, what i wanted, and bought/made/brought everything i wanted incorporated. closer to the wedding, she was verygood, but months out, i was SO unhappy, to the point where my ta called her boss. the day of, and even the few days before, she was totally available for questions, changes, etc. keep in mind, i think she also works as a waitress at dreams, so she really is VERY busy. that is dreams' fault, tho, not gaby's.

that's exactly what i said!!! i asked what difference it made whether i'd wear it again or not - i paid to have it cleaned - not to look like a schmata!!!!! to say that i was irate would be an understatement - and at first it wasn't her fault, she's just a kid who wants to keep her job...but when she got rude, that was another story. also just posted a review for src cleaners. am off to search for other places to post that review.

so i called twice yesterday...no calls back. he called around noon today, and was a rude bastard...i said i could have done the same job with oxyclean and a toothbrush - he told me that i should have! it was a 10 min screaming match which ended with him saying 'i can clean your dress 10 times but i won't give you your $ back' and then he hung up. SO i filed a BBB report right away. then, around 3, my sis and i went over there. long story short, the owner had left a note saying that they'll reclean but not refund but the girl wouldn't give me the note to photograph, which i wanted in case i were to pursue this. the hs kid behind the counter wound up calling the cops (3 cars - it's a quiet town!), lol, and i filed a police report. they went across the street and copied the note for me, and i also asked for a copy of the receipts, which the girl had stapled to them. the girl told the cops she didn't have any receipts. they told her that i saw her staple them, and then she was like oh, these? they are store receipts, she can't have them. the cops were like um, why didn't you just say that instead of lying? so the cops and i are outside laughing about this, and talking about how if the owner was a good business person, he would have credited 1/2 back, or given me a $50 credit or whatever. then the girl calls this cop back in and tells them that the owner just called and wanted me to know that i should never step foot in that cleaners again - like i would?!!? anyway. since it's on my debit visa, dh said i should call visa and see if i can dispute the charges. the only thing is that since it's debit, i may not be able to. the worst part was that this girl had the gall to ask when i was ever going to wear the dress again - i said that's not the point!!!!!! wtf, who are you to ask me if i'll wear it again - the point is that i spent however much $$ on it, and to clean it, and i'm at square one!!! plus, i was going to sell it, but obviously i didn't tell her that...i guess that idea is down the drain. mods, can i post the cleaner's info here so no other brides in the area go there? i dont want to do it w/o permission. thanks for all of your help, everyone!!!

i'm sorry you're going thru this...it seems like you're both feeling pretty shitty about yourselves, but he's taking that stress out on you. i can tell you from experience - if he's been prescribed 100mgs of something, then 50 is not going to cut it. it's the same as not taking it at all. meds are prescribed with YOU and your weight and problems in mind - not just arbitrarily. while a therapist is a great idea in theory, i know that my dh would never go for it unless i blindfolded him and dragged him in. however, if you're both willing, you can work on resolving this yourselves. i think you both need to lay it out on the table and form a plan. if you're like dh and i, it will involve a lot of yelling, tissues, and maybe even some door slamming, but at the end of the day, it's all out in the open. your plan will have to involve working on yourselves (losing weight, feeling sexier, etc) and working together (talking about why he's feeling trapped, rather than accusing you of trapping, maybe going to ww together). nothing will make it disappear if you don't deal with it. that being said, we'll support you the whole way.

i'm skipping day 5 and 6. i'm not going to lose any more, so i'm weaning myself back onto carbs with day 7. doesn't help that dh comes back tomorrow and we have a wedding....

sorry drea - it's a hard time for lots of teachers looking for a position. my suggestion would be to keep taking classes (even w/o matriculating) or go to professional development conferences. that way your resume shows that you've been keeping up with education even if you haven't had your own classroom. i'm currently hiding in my house. on saturday, in the middle of a family barbeque, my neighbor screamed over the fence for me, just to tell me that his wife (who is like 20 yrs older than me) is inviting some women from the neighborhood over this wednesday. 4 days from today. the 25th. not next wednesday, this wednesday. - these are his words......i've never met the woman and i'm not going over after he interrupted my bbq - i am just going to happen to forget about it. AND - the next night, the wife called my neighbor (who we are friendly with, and funnily enough, are named lauren and keith as well), who just had a baby 2 weeks ago. she didn't answer b/c she was busy and at 9:30 (!!!), the husband shows up banging on her door to invite her over. so we're both hiding. my sister will be here w/in a few hours though, which is nice b/c i've been all alone since sunday...then we can both hide!

i haven't read thru this whole thing yet, but the best thing for a wax burn is burn cream!!!! hate to say it, but it will probably not clear up by this weekend. i've burned myself before, and it has to scab over before healing completely. i think you should demand that they open early for you.

i added lemon juice to calm the spice.
