  1. we started dating when i was 22 and got engaged when i was 26. i can't imagine what would happen if i had married at 21.....i'm married and STILL not ready to be a grown-up!
  2. my friend did ww at work and gained and lost the same 2 lbs over and over again. both of us have done it outside of work and lost and kept lbs off. we used to go together but it's hard b/c of scheduling conflicts. if i had the choice between doing nothing and going to ww at work, i'd go at work, but i'd prefer to go outside of work.

  4. i love the one where he's whispering in your ear...beautiful! upon first glance it looks like latin, but i could be completely wrong.
  5. i'd book before sending out stds, but that's jmho.
  6. now that i'm reading thru and discovering that everyone has a cleaning lady except me (and harty), let me ask you - what are the norms of a regular cleaning lady/person? like will the person open the windows and clean between the storms and screens? will they clean the tops of fans and the tiles in the shower? i don't mind vacuuming and cleaning the sinks, and i'll fold my laundry, but i HATE doing everything else. so what exactly does your cleaning lady do?
  7. wow, you have a lot of stuff in there already! if you want different ideas, how about snacks? we put in 2 bags of single serve chips, some chocolate (mini kit kats), and a few lollipops. my dad also baked biscotti, so each person got a box of 20 biscotti. we would have put in water if we weren't at an ai, but these foods were the types of things that you couldn't get if you just wanted something to snack on. if there's way too much room in there, just stick some tissue paper in the bottom. i think you have plenty of goodies for your guests.
  8. my aunt just had a different straightening process done (maybe brazilian straightening?). it can be done on color treated hair and is topical, so it washed out after a few months, rather than chemical, which grows out. the downside is that supposedly it contains formaldehyde (sp?), which is a cancer-causing agent. that being said, i don't know if my aunt would have done it if there was anything toxic in the formula. however. her hair looks great. she should only wash it every other day, which is ok b/c she has thick hair, and she has to use special shampoos and conditioners. so there's another option for you frizzy people with color treated hair.
  9. congrats! hope it's everything you've ever wished for!
  10. wow, nothing lower than an A!!!!!! congratulations, i'm so glad everything was perfect! pics...pics...pics...
  11. can't speak for cancun, but at dreams pv, we rented table runners for $7 each. used their napkins, plates, etc. brought cake topper and all decorations for table (just little tea lights and holders). we brought fake petals and never even asked - just gave them to the wc to put on the aisle runner. if your resort doesn't let you use petals, try ecofetti - biodegradable confetti. all of their rentals are expensive!!!! i never got a single thing back, so just make sure that you get it back if it's something important to you. we had 2 cakes, but w/ 30 ppl, it was totally not worth it.
  12. usually if you tell them you're a teacher, they'll ignore the limit and let you buy enough for a class (20-30).
  13. congrats katrina!!!! where are the gazebo and marina?
  14. congratulations! i hope it's everything you've ever wished for!

  16. don't know if anyone will check this before going to dinner at any point this weekend, but we went to a restaurant called PUBLIC last night (downtown, elizabeth and prince, i'm pretty sure). it was SO good!!!! we had kangaroo and foie gras for appetizers (i don't like any foie gras, tho - it's a consistency thing), and for our entree, we split venison w/ some kind of green pea mousse that was delish! we also had sticky toffee pudding for dessert, and i've never had sticky toffee pudding like this! i was almost licking the plate clean!! the atmosphere is fun too. there's a fun little lounge in the back by the bar. the music was just getting louder as we were leaving at 10:30ish. this was the runner up for dh's 30th bday, but i may change my mind and have it at here!
  17. what about heart shaped candles? found this doing a quick google search: valentine's day wedding theme : Heart Shaped Votives - Set of 6 - 8411-
  18. your dress is beautiful!!!! congrats on finding the perfect one! (but sheesh, has that model eaten in the last year?!)

  20. as far as names, i can't help you, but it's a nice surprise for your fi! we took a private car from the airport to the hotel, but it was far from a limo...we did take a limo from home to the airport b/c we didn't want to park for 2 weeks, and didn't want to rely on our parents. the limo company (who was located in the same building that dh used to work in) was 'out' of town cars, and sent us a 12 person stretch limo. too bad it was 4 am and no one was on the road to see us
