  2. i just made logo stickers for a friend using the printable sticker paper. it's a couple bucks for a few sheets that can be cut. that's another option.
  3. i forgot about that, jen! my bfs wedding was down at the shore and she got paper bags, decorated them with scrapbook pages that had love quotes on them and filled them w/ a bottle of water and snacks from sam's club. nothing extravagant, just something simple.

  5. is she coming to the wedding? if so, maybe a gc toward the spa or something. otherwise, my favorite gifts for something like this is a Restaurant.com - Find deals on neighborhood restaurants. $25 Restaurant Certificates for only $10! gc. you spend $10 to give a $25 gc to so many restaurants! also, if you go to Ben's Bargains - Bargains, Coupons, Freebies, you can get a coupon code, often for 60% off, making a $25 gc only $4!!!
  6. keep in mind that some of the weddings are set up early in the day, and if you have an evening/sunset ceremony, most sunbathers are done on the beach for the day. we had a few people sitting nearby, but they weren't even paying attention to us. i was at a beach wedding in nj this past weekend and even tho it was a private beach, there were people walking past.
  7. i could totally see dh trying it on himself just to see what would happen.
  8. everything looks great! i love the diy starfish pins!
  9. definitely not. we looked at each persons situation and decided from there. my sister was being sponsored by my parents, one bm and her hubby had their flight paid for by his parents, who were also coming (i paid for her dress instead), one gm, who has been in school getting his phd for 10 years def. couldn't afford to come, so we paid for his hotel, the other gm had $ and could afford it, and the last bm didn't say anything, but i knew that $ was tight, so we offered $500 to use however they needed it. i'm happy i helped those who needed it, but that last bm would have been there regardless.
  10. i'm w/ christa and jessica. i brought 15 pairs of shoes for 12 days. i only wore flip flops the entire time i was there. luckily about 5 of the 15 were flip flops!
  11. i think it's a nice token of appreciation. you don't have to fill it, and you don't have to spend a lot. you can buy paper bags from michaels, or some dollar stores, and put only the necessities in.
  12. i was engaged and married within seven months, so it IS possible!!! i agree about sending out stds soon, and also clothes for your groom and the rest of the wedding party b/c finding summer clothes during the winter could present a problem.
  13. i would assume that if you put something in the middle, it would stand...let us know, i'm curious!

  15. nice! we don't have any sexy ttd pics b/c we're not sexy people together...we're kinda goofy and clumsy. you can tell that all of our relatively romantic pics are stages b/c we look so uncomfortable. that being said, i wish i did nudie pics...those are HOT!
  16. lol, guess that's what you get for joining a mostly girl forum! i wanted to follow tradition too. dh stayed w/ his best man the night before, and my sister stayed w/ me. my mom and sis came up for a room-service breakfast, and then my bms met me at the salon. i think if it was just the two of us and no guests, it would have been different... smooth j, where are you from in nj?
  17. i just sent dh a text yesterday asking if he'll buy me a bmw m6 for my birthday. i always ask for impractical things like cars, ponies, 10carat earrings...he always says yes, but i have yet to see a pony in my yard........
  18. i agree w/ morgan. tell them you don't feel that it's what you previously discussed. if they're not willing to budge, find someone who is willing to work w/ your wants and needs.
  19. she should send out whatever she wants! you could do boarding passes or passports w/ all of the info on different pages...even w/ guest info on different pages, like a 'getting to know you before i meet you' kind of deal. we did a tri-fold and sent it w/ our stds. or, you could just send luggage tags that say 'see you soon!' btw, usually the cuter DIY things sound, the harder they are, lol!
