I know you like pictures, so here you go! Kodakgallery.com*Browse Photos It is move in ready, but there are several things we want to do to personalize the space like replace all of the bathroom lighting, paint, re-tile the kitchen, re-do the fireplace. Then we have a whole other list for long term projects like rip up the carpet and re-finish the hardwood, get new carpet for the bedrooms, build a garage and deck, possibly add on to the upstairs, etc. YAY for a good inspection! i have to go check out the pics, but just wanted to tell you that if it's in your budget, you may want to consider refinishing the floors before you move in. once you have your furniture in, it's a PITA to move the furniture, and places charge upward of $100 for each room. ok off to check out the pics. EDIT: ok, love the porch!!! the house is adorable! what's on the walls inside the closets and on the wall in the "bonus" space?
  4. i wanted to do it, but refused to spend $ on it. i tried it myself and could not get it to look the way i wanted it to. personally, i can think of better ways to spend $90+, but like carly said, ask your aunt to check it out.
  5. ok i voted for all of the dates in september...but we'd need to decide sooner rather than later b/c fil's bday is 9/22 so we'd prob go out the 20th or 21st, and my dad's bday is the 29th, so that would be the 27th or 28th...tho if we do that weekend, i'd be down in s. jersey. any ideas as to where? if we're trying to accomodate all pa/ny folks, maybe central jersey is a good place? somewhere in north brunswick (rutgers area) possibly? it's about 45-60 min for both philly and nyc peeps.
  6. carly, you thinking before alyssa leaves or after she comes back?
  7. everything looks perfect! can you believe it's almost here?!
  8. welcome! lots of info here about pv...happy planning!
  9. i've been to lua! def. a fun place - but dh wants nyc (brat.). will review spice market as soon as i have a second to breathe - interesting turn of events there....
  10. what about in the middle so ny and philly people can meet w/o a tremendous drive...say, morristown, nj? lol i'm in. tell me where and when and i'll be there.
  11. congrats! looks like a perfect day! your daughter is TOO cute.
  12. that's super exciting! i hope she starts feeling better ...
  13. ok ladies, the final spreadsheet is attached (w/ a funky name b/c i don't want dh to find it on my laptop). i checked out kion lounge and i suggest nobody ever goes there. lol, the food what not what was on the menu and it was kinda dingy and dirty. cool lights, but obviously trying to be something it's not. so i think my final decision is stanton social. i'm going to make menus and write open bar on the bottom so people drink my money's worth...but i think i'll only do open bar for 1.5 hrs...does anyone think this is too tacky? thanks again for all of your help - i totally appreciate it!!! (oh yea, and we're going to spice market tomorrow for dinner during restaurant week - wound up being too $ b/c of holiday menus - bah! - but i still want to check it out.) gifts 08.xls
  14. we sent stds in july and invites in the middle of oct. (i think). everyone was booked by the middle of november for our feb. wedding.
  15. in the summer, i look forward to gymnastics, diving and swimming. nothing else really does it for me. i loved the gymnastics in 2004 (2000?) b/c of that blake kid...he was SO hot.
  16. hi - we used dj extassis. he was good, but not an mc. have you done a search on the board for pv dj's? i know there is a thread in the pv vendors section. here's a link to my review: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16517
  17. i just remembered one: until we were about 16, my best friend thought that a street that had a "no outlet" sign meant that the houses on it had no electricity.
  18. we only had a rehearsal dinner, and the wedding, but we wound up hanging out every night regardless of whether we had things planned or not. personally, i'd leave it less formal - yes, they're shelling out money, but it's their vacation, and may not want a planned activity every day/night.
  19. he had been in the hospital for 2 weeks or so, so i'm not terribly shocked, but he was so young.
  20. yay! congrats! i hope it's everything you ever dreamed of!
  21. it's finally here!!! congrats - i hope your day is perfect!
