  1. i went to sleep at 10 and was up at 3:30 panicking about all of the things that i have to accomplish today. so i'm here too...........
  2. i can only tell you how i did it 2 yrs ago when i needed a job closer to home: i checked out the good districts w/in a 15 mile radius, filled out any online application, but also sent a resume to every principal, superintendent and director of curriculum in each district, even if there weren't any specific job postings. i sent out 70+ resumes, but b/c i sent it to the director of curriculum (which not many people do), i was called in for an interview and subsequently beat out 400 other people for a job. i've heard that in jersey there are between 300-500 resumes per job posting. good luck to her!
  3. that was so sweet - but where is jaime!?

  5. so what happened? i hope you told fmil that they can't come to legal day and that fsil should shove off.
  6. whoops, double post. but claudette's awesome too.
  7. martha, it hasn't been on in 2 years! they thought they were the sopranos, making us wait that long! i got into the shield when dh made me watch the first few seasons on dvd. i HATE shane, but didn't really like mackie during last night's episode. lem's awesome.
  8. lol, the only thing i can think of is "sunrise, sunset" from fiddler on the roof, lol!!!!!
  9. i don't think you should ask where she was - i think you should tell her flat out that you thought she'd try to make it and that you were sad when she didn't. make it about you and your feelings, rather than hers. for the record, i hate showers too, but i'd be at my fsil's no matter what (even tho i don't love her).
  10. jen, i'm in. how about on the border on route 1? easy to get to from both directions on 95, decent priced food and good drinks. (i don't care if this is actually where we go, i kinda just figure a decision needs to be made sooner rather than later) also, what time - is this a lunch or dinner thing? i have class that morning, but it's optional - trying to plan my month too!
  11. i read somewhere that dylan is kelly's baby daddy. he comes back in a few weeks to meet his son and reconcile, but that may be fictitious. i actually enjoyed the show. i'm not sure who it was geared to - younger generation or my/our generation - but enjoyed it...dh did too, but don't tell we watched the shield right after - it was the first full night of tv for us in almost a year!

  13. great job, yari! Quote: Originally Posted by cmmillhorn9 I really like them, they look great. But what are they used for? Sorry if this is a dumb question! pashminas are wraps, or light scarves for women to wear when it gets cold.
  14. i like #1. it's very flattering on you. let everyone else be casual - it's YOUR rehearsal!
  15. i didn't want favors. dh convinced me to get $2.00 giant chocolate chip cookies from a fantastic local (local to pv) bakery. they were already wrapped, and we stuck a label w/ our monogram on it. we also did oot bags. i don't think both are necessary.
  16. yuck - i'm sorry you're going thru this... you need to do what's right for you. imoho, telling you he's coming home and then not calling for a week is ridiculous. out of curiousity, do you two live together?
  17. we wrote suggested dress is beach casual - sundresses for the ladies, khakis and colored shirts for the men. people asked anyway, and we were telling them to show up in their bathing suits one guest wanted to buy a tuxedo tee shirt (the ones that look like tuxes), but couldn't find it in time. we had 1 show up in jeans, but we didn't care.
  18. my old trainer told me that if he ever caught me doing behind the neck lat pulldowns, he'd cut off my gym membership, and that they should always be in front. i use the thigh machines when i'm bored and don't really want to be there - not like i've been all summer... interesting article tho.
  19. Tammy your pics are wonderful! Those HAVE to be Bengal cats, right?
  20. they're good! only buy them on sale, otherwise they're quite pricey for the tiny bit. i don't want to know what kind of junk is in them to make them taste so good and have only 150 calories.
