  1. i wish i had a good solution...we can't get ours clean b/c we have tumbled marble tile, and you can't use bleach on that...
  2. dairy-free b/c someone is [supposedly] lactose intolerant. bruscetta is a good idea....i know they'll only eat the tomato one, but dh and i will eat the others! thanks!
  3. well, i'm trying to type but my cat keeps opening the calculator on my computer.... have you tried the apple bitters? we spray that on wires that our eddie bites. or teething toys? we use straws for the cats - is there anything comparable for dogs? btw, your puppy is ADORABLE!
  4. any suggestions for an easy dairy-free appetizer that could go w/ kebabs? i have picky guests.......
  5. here's my favorite EASY appetizer recipe - and i don't cook: ARTICHOKE APPETIZER SQUARES 1 (8 oz.) can Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened 1/2 c. dairy sour cream 1/2 tsp. dried dill weed 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt 1 egg 1/3 c. chopped green onions 1 (14 oz.) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped 1 (2 oz.) jar diced pimiento, drained Heat oven to 375 degrees. Unroll dough into long rectangle in ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan; seal perforations. Press over bottom and 1/2 inch up sides to form crust. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. In small bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream, dill weed, salt and egg; blend well. Spread over partially baked crust. Top with remaining ingredients. Return to oven and bake an additional 13 to 19 minutes or until edges are deep golden brown and center is set. To serve, cut into squares. Serve warm or cold. Store in refrigerator.
  6. i'm w/ kat. tell them they can use the dresses, but you want one that suits you.
  7. i'm not really sure! i've asked, but dh isn't the kind of person to divulge a lot of info. i know that he called them at a time when he knew my mom would be at work and my dad would be home. he set up a plan to ensure that my parents would be waiting for us at the restaurant a few hours after we got engaged elsewhere.
  8. great review! everyone always seems to have a great time at lc! my rehearsal dinner was at barcelona tapas also. it was perfect! brittany, they keep bringing out food till dessert - so if someone really liked an appetizer, they can ask for more even if you're already almost thru the entree.
  9. yep, soak in nail polish w/ acetone for awhile. they'll soften and eventually you'll get fed up and yank them off. it's the same thing they'd do in a nail salon, so save your money.
  10. i have one ex on myspace, but i don't use the account. we talk via AIM once in awhile. his wife HATES me so he only ims when she's not around, lol. usually he only talks about her anyway... i've tried contacting another ex to say hi b/c we were in touch for awhile, but he never responded. dh has no problem w/ me being in contact w/ any ex. i also don't add people just to have more friends, so i wouldn't search for any other dudes i've dated.
  11. agreed. a favor at an AHR is enough. if you want to send a picture announcement, that would be nice, but anything other than that is not necessary. do you think that your mom and FMIL want to impress their friends? i know that if my MIL suggested that, the sole purpose would be to impress her yenta friends.
  12. i went a few weeks ago in nyc and she was INCREDIBLE!!! i wish my body looked like that now, let alone at 50!
  13. tara, it's beautiful! i can't wait to see the rest - but go enjoy your honeymoon.
  14. amir got lots of stickers!!!! way to do your civic duty, amir!
  15. i thought DD would have given out free coffees or donuts.... course our ben and jerry's closed and our starbucks isn't open until after i go to school...boo.
  16. i voted for obama. what can i say - i'm a teacher! one of my 4th grade students told me that she (and her parents)think the best reward for teachers is to have their students learn. while i certainly agree that that is important, so is paying my mortgage - something totally overlooked by this particular family. i couldn't believe that those words came out of a 9 year old's mouth.
  17. congrats!!! that's super exciting!!
  18. he's perfect martha! congrats to you and jay!
  19. congratulations tara and joe! i hope it was everything you ever dreamed of!
  20. what will everyone talk about when it's over? i saw the article in entertainment this week about being obsessed w/ the election. i'm not as obsessed as many other americans - or canadians for that matter - but i am excited for tuesday.
