no decorations here we're non-practicing jews but i grew up with a 1' fake tree. when my parents moved, my father decided that he didn't care what my mother thought anymore - since he grew up with a real tree, he was going to have one...then my sister moved out and got a tree...dh won't let me have one tho, and since we don't have/want a menorah, we're the only unlit house on the block.

Unfortunately, it seems that the TWO things that get rid of the psoriasis for me are the ocean and the sun!!! And living in eastern Canada doesn't really help much in that area ... So I can only hope that my few days before the wedding will help the patches disappear completely. Sorry if this wasn't helpful ... but you might want to consider psoriasis ... while I think it's very similar it might have a few different properties and treatments ... so talk to a new dermatologist about that possibility. i'm not positive about the differences, but i have psoriasis as well. i do know that psoriasis is considered genetic (thanks dad....) if you have it on more than 2 extremeties, it's considered a severe case - i have it on both elbows, one worse than the other, my knee and a huge patch on my scalp. it's not as itchy as eczema, normally, but it never really goes away unless you take care of it immediately. i've had random patches show up, treated immediately, and they were gone - but not the same for the ones on my elbows, knee, etc. my dermo did give me a cortisone shot in my head, which worked for a few days, but didn't help in the long run. i'd see another dermo, if possible, to get a 2nd opinion. i was told that my psoriasis was eczema for a year by my gp, and by then it was too late to treat well. sun and the ocean are the best things for it - you couldn't see it at all in mx! tanning beds are helpful, and my dermo actually told me to go to treat, and to bring ocean water home w/ me to soak.

we had 30 people, including ourselves. i only wanted to make sure that the decor looked nice, and that i didn't have to provide anything...which i wound up doing anyway. idk, it was a long time ago and irrelevant now - but there is a big leap from a "free" wedding to a dazzling details wedding - in every sense.

i had 2 girls under 6 and included some little arts and crafts stuff and play makeup. i put their stuff in pails w/ their names on them. i also included some of the same stuff i put in the adults - chapstick, anti-bacterial wipes...i went to $5 below and got a bunch of stuff there (kinda like a dollar store but up to $5, don't know if you have one nearby). for older kids, idk - maybe some tween magazines? i think i have pics of my stuff in my planning thread in my siggy.

i agree about the business of the holidays. but maybe you could have a bridal party party? just the 4 of you, or maybe include some other close friends. my shower was at the end of oct. and my wedding was in feb. we couldn't make it any later for fear of snow - and considering most ppl weren't coming to the wedding, they wanted to make it to the shower.

we used dj extassis. i contacted him thru kristen @ dazzling details - i didn't use dazzling details, tho. he was good and relatively cheap, tho i don't remember the price.
