i think there's a big difference between bringing a date and bringing another couple. we invited everyone w/ guest, but if my cousins decided they were going to bring their travel buddies, i would have said sure, but they can't come to the wedding. in the same breath, i'd make sure that they knew that the guests were not invited to any wedding-related activities.

i did one layer elbow length, and am 5'. i wore it at the bottom of my updo, so it was closer to fingertip. definitely try them on w/ your dress and hair style to make a decision.

i agree - it's brenda and kelly that keep me watching. i can't stand naomi, but think that she is the epitome of the typical 17yo - at least the ones i've been around lately (aka my snotty cousins and her snotty friends). my sister asked me last night if the show is getting better and better or worse and worse. i'm not really sure but i watch it weekly regardless.

we had to do the whole vow thing and ring exchange. we weren't given a choice and idk if that was a nj thing or my township thing. we don't even remember the date we were legally married on (that's a lie, he doesn't remember, but of course i do) b/c we don't consider it as any kind of anniversary. we brought our immediate families and bil brought his then-gf.

i'm with joanna; i typically spent $200-$300 depending on the person. my college friends and i decided we'd do $200/couple, which i thought was reasonable...course i didn't get that from them b/c i didn't have a traditional wedding....and now that we're married, we're giving what people gave us for the most part. it's hard b/c a lot of ppl didn't send a gift if they didn't come and now we're going to theirs. joanna, are you from lake hopatcong? i think i recall seeing that......
