woohoo!!!!! gotta love those silly mistakes! btw, i LOVE your dress....it's gorgeous! -
hey all - i've searched thru old threads, but don't know what dazzling details would do that's above and beyond what gaby (marilu's replacement) will do.....would my menu/centerpieces/decorations be THAT different? what is the benefit of having an outside WC at a place that has an in-house WC? btw, thanks jamielynn for making me second guess myself lol

To tell or not to tell?

we're going before, and only told our parents...my sister, genius she is, figured it out and told me she'd kill me if she wasn't there...we're not telling his brother (unless he figures it out) or anyone else...however i have a feeling that FMIL may have spilled the beans........ hrm.......... -
hey carly - i just thought of my favorite soap - made white round soap and red round soap...cut into pieces, and then put together like a peppermint...peppermint scent, etc. put in cellophane and tied little red ribbon at each side like the actual candy....i have to find my craft box and see what else i did..... here's a link to recipes...it's the glycerin that you find at the craft stores...they also have the scents, colors, molds, etc. Glycerin Soap Recipes like i said, i dont know about lip balms - sorry!

hi! i'm going to be a dreams bride, but in PV....lots of helpful info here...but be careful, it's addicting!

idk about recipes for lip balm, but they sell all of the stuff that you need for both at michaels and other craft stores. i used to make soap as little christmas gifts and it's awesome, b/c you can't make a mess - it's SOAP! it's also great b/c you can get really creative w/ it. even if you make plain soap, it's really the wrapping that makes it so pretty! pm me if you want some ideas to make them more creative. it just occurred to me that i may not have answered your question....check out the aisle in the crafts stores that have the stuff for it - there are usually little magazines that you can take/buy that have recipes/ideas in them.

i'm glad he's feeling a bit better today!!! here's a story about what a good breeder does w/ a sick animal - however, if you're eating, skip past it..... brief backround: we have bengal cats, which are bred from asian leopard cats. they are pretty wild and don't really bond to more than one person until you get to the 4th generation (or so) removed from the asian leopard cat. when we decided to get a second kitten, we went back to the same breeder we previously bought from. we picked a silver f3 (3rd generation removed from asian leopard cat) bengal who came to us w/ worms, which is relatively common for a kitten. even after rounds of antibiotics, he had constant diarrhea and his whole digestive system was so messed up that he leaked poop. he'd jump and poop would drip out....we love animals, but we had white carpet and so he was the source of MAJOR arguments in our house...the good thing about him was that because he was an F3, he was still pretty wild and never really bonded with me, and only bonded a little bit w/ my FI. we asked the breeder, and she didn't have answers for us...b/c she's a breeder, not a vet...SO after vet visits and $$$$$$ spent, our options were either spend more $$ for surgery, that may/may not determine the illness, on a cat that didn't even like us - or return him to the breeder. so we emailed the breeder and said that we didn't have the means to take care of him anymore...she told us to bring him back and she'd send him to her sister's cattery, which is mostly outdoors in upstate NY, so the poop thing wouldn't be a problem, if it didn't clear up. she said that the only other kitten that she had at that point was a black spotted male (we had wanted silver) but that if we waited, we could get pick of the next litter...so we brought the cat back and exchanged him for a healthy black spotted male, who instantly bonded with us. wow that was longer than i thought ... point is, the breeder took him back b/c she knew the repercussions - we'd talk to other people, other vets, anyone who would listen if she did the wrong thing (aka not take him or not offer assistance in some way)...she knew that we'd say good things if she did help us. i know that this is going to make me sound like a major beotch - martha, after a healthy little jack comes home, make sure that this breeder is very well aware of all the talking that you could/will do...from vets to forums to friends to the BBB, make sure she knows that she will NOT have too many customers if this is how she conducts business. jack was sick in HER care, and she should not have sold him to you w/o some kind of health guarantee; i'm sure that the second she knows that you mean business (when you have a clear head, and you're not so worried), she'll wise up and offer some kind of monetary relief.

If you are even half-way thinking of wearing one, you should! You can always take it off if it bothers you. Plus....with that beautiful long hair of yours.....GORGEOUS! wait, you mean i don't get to wear it every day after the wedding!?!?! i was banking on that, lol. i'm going to wear one that comes down to my wrists and a tiara...if the veil sucks, i'll pull it out... my mom asked a good question - does anyone wear it over their face? i wasn't planning on it....

so i saw these really pretty ones online for about $3.00 each...and decided to try to make them on my own. it IS pretty easy, but i'm not going to lie, they are time consuming...i'm now making about 4/hr, total of 13 finished but i'm done for tonight. here are pics: all you need is tulle, some pretty beads/sequins/acrylic jewels, and iron-on adhesive....oh yeah, and lots of patience. pm me if you want more instructions...

Do I need an outside coordinator?

If she is iffy than I may need someone who is down there to help me out. i just got an email from her (gaby, the new wc at dreams) and she said she has all of my info, yadda yadda, but has yet to answer any of the questions that marilu left her with...i figured i'd give her a few more days and then send another email w/ the ?s again, just in case she didn't get it. other than the fact that emails would be answered faster by telegraph, what would be the reason for an outside WC? what are you unsure of? (AKA - AM I OVERLOOKING SOMETHING?) all of the ppl that i've talked to/read reviews from said that everything was perfect once they got there...i also have a lot of info, if you're looking for something specific, and will be married there a few months before you, so can give you more details, should you decide on dreams. -
i say wait for all reasons previously mentioned - especially if the dress isn't you!!!!
