Could you please send us some pics of that wedding your FI was in? Thanks!
  2. Loved it!!! You must be working non-stop. I hope by the time my wedding rolls around next year you won't be sick of doing weddings...
  3. I'm pretty sure we are going with dark purple (eggplant), dark pink (azalea), lime green (or green apple) and we want to use a lot of light tan colored linen (color and texture) in our scheme.
  4. I just posted a similar thread and am also getting married in Mexico. I think I've finally come up with something that goes along with the Mexico theme after expaining what I'd like with my invitation lady. We are going to do three black and white pictures vertically on a magnet. One pic for each of the words SAVE, THE and DATE spelled out on or in something (ie. in the sand on a beach, etc.). I'll post a pic once they're done!
  5. Thank you! There are some great ideas on there. The whole STD thing threw me...
  6. I'm trying to get some ideas for a unique save-the-date. Got any? Post pictures if you have them! Thanks!
  7. KM, are you nervous you might have more than 70? So they never gave you a capacity #? I can't wait to hear how everything went once you get back seeing as I'm lookin to get married there (possibly) in October 08. Who is your WC?
  8. That is also a very cool site, KM! I did find a local woman here in Wisconsin that is going to do mine I think. papertraildesigns.com/invitations.html Her's are similar to yours Susan.
  9. Can someone tell me how many guests the Imperial Suite can hold for a sit down reception? It may have already been said somewhere but I must've missed it
  10. Thank you for that website address! That's a great idea.
  11. Susan, Who did yours? That is exactly the idea I'm going for. By the way, I think we have met before. Andria, Mark's fiance, is one of my best friends. I thought you looked familiar!
  12. Good question, Michelle. I was wondering the same thing. I like all the responses, helps to make an educated decision. Speaking of the whole "blood work" thing, anyone know what that all entails? It makes me nervous.
  13. That was so beautiful and I cried too..I don't even know you guys!
  14. Hi ladies, I need some ideas on invites. Do any of you have pictures of yours to include? I have an idea in my head of what I want but haven't seen anything remotely close yet. Also, how did you include all the information necessary for your guests?
  15. I don't know about you guys but my ceremony is going to be short and sweet. I think what we'll do is have a couple of waiters standing there with trays of champagne, mojitos, and margaritas for right after the ceremony. That way everyone can raise a glass, toast to us and the party can begin!
  16. Food and beverage is seperate? Even at an all-inclusive?
  17. Foxytv where did you get your silk bouquets made?! I love the one for your bridesmaids! Also, TammyB, I love yours as well. Who did them?
  18. Thank you for the review Jessalyn! Do you have pictures to share? How was the food?
  19. Hola Cabo Brides! I'm looking for any information I can get about wedding locations in Cabo. Of course we have many other details to nail down but that can come later I suppose. Does anyone have pictures of weddings at the Fiesta American or Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar? We are considering having everyone stay at the RIU but I'd like the wedding to be off site. Any information about weddings at private villas? What about having a reception at a local restaurant?

Jessalyn, I'm so glad I found someone with some insight about the Sheraton. So did you have your ceremony at the palapa or just the reception. Will they allow you to have the reception at the Pitahaya restaurant and the ceremony at the palapa? Do you have pictures to share? I'd love to hear more details! Thanks!

    Newly Engaged!

Funny that there are so many girls from Wisconsin on here! Gotta get away from the cold I guess. Old World Wisconsin is about 5 minutes from my house, I live in Eagle's Aire...if your sister knows where that is Have any of you gotten married or heard about anyone getting married at the Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar? I love the thatch roofed gazebo! I'd like to get more info from anyone that has any info on the place. We could have anywhere between 30 and 100 guests joining us...we have yet to figure out how to plan around this! Any of you run into this problem?
  22. Oh wow, I would've never thought about the Mexican restaurant. Did they close it down just for your reception? When I was there for vacation I thought I saw them setting up for one on the beach area between the two pools...you know where there are rows of palm trees are in the sand? I figured that was the only option. Very cool to know there's more! Did you stay in a standard room or do they have suites?
  23. I got engaged 6 days ago too! Congrats!

    Newly Engaged!

Thanks for the warm welcome, girls! Do any of you know what the weather will be like in early October down in Baja? We decided on Cabo when we vacationed there through the company we both work for last year, then again this past April with my family. We've been to Jamaica, Bahamas, Pt.Vallarta, and Dominican but nothing compares to Cabo. We love that there is so much to do yet it's still so relaxing. The one thing missing is crystal blue water and swimable beaches but we're fine with the pool!
