  2. Thanks everyone! The sunset was beautiful and a great backdrop. You probably can't tell (or maybe you can) that it was so hot though. The guys were sweating through their shirts, I felt so bad. Both Mike and I changed clothes after dinner..you'll see that in the next set of pics I post. But once the sun went down it was perfect; breezy and the humidity went down too.
  3. I was going to suggest making your maiden name your middle name as well. I contemplated it also but my new last name is quite long so decided against it, last minute. I constantly start writing/typing my old name all the time..it takes A LOT of getting used to!
  4. And now married... me and my bros: me and my girls: the guys: wedding party, ready to party:
  5. Here are some that guests took. I'll try to post a few at a time. Hope this works! These are all pre-ceremony of the set up.

Post some teasers as soon as you can! Yes, as soon as you get there, find Victor or Juventino. They will make sure your group is well taken care of! They did make it a point to say 'normally they don't allow outside coordinators and photogs, but because our wedding wasn't there, the would make an exception'. I loved that they handled our welcome bags. We had a couple of mix-ups but that was our fault. We should've labeled each bag with the guests name. The Santa Fe put them in the guests rooms and the Palace handed them out upon check-in.
  7. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to post pics from work. I changed my siggy though!

  9. Thanks! I'm starting to get pics back from guests that were snapping away and I'm so frustrated that their aren't any good ones of me and my hubby both looking at the camera as of yet..but I'm sure Juan Carlos got some!
  10. I ordered some for when I stood up in my best friends wedding. The said that quote on one side, then had their names and wedding date on the other. I got them from customink.com I've ordered t-shirts, koozies and cups from there and all turned out great.
  11. Okay so I've been back since last Tuesday, and I know I haven't been on here all that much in the last 6 months or so but I thought I could share some of my reviews. So where to begin!? Ceremony and reception: Sunset da Mona Lisa A+ Our wedding was unbelievable! I cannot get over how perfect everything was from the food, to the view, to the service...everything was wonderful. We originally worked with Emma from SML to set everything up but she wasn't there the day of so I don't know if maybe she isn't with them anymore or what? But Peter, the event manager, took great care of us..he even drove us down to the beach for pictures! Getting everything set up with them was fairly easy but mostly because our WC did the negotiating. The food was so good, we had guests telling us all night how great the steak was. We also had the spicy spaghetti and jumbo shrimp and the pasta with broccoli, tomato sauce and lemon zest as options. All were very good. The waiters and bartenders were very attentive. At one point I went up to the bar for a glass of champagne and the bartender gave me the whole bottle and a chilled glass! Also, we had originally been told by Emma that our 'buy out' meant everything outdoors, but the indoor dining room would still be in use by regular customers. That wasn't the case, thankfully. They had the indoor, air-conditioned room open for us. It was so nice to freshen up in there before walking down the aisle. Not to mention all the bridesmaids kept their totes in there the entire night without having to worry about it and it was a haven for those guest looking to cool down. There is so much more to say about this beautiful venue but I'll have to let the pictures do the talking. I'll post those as I get them. Wedding Coordinator: Amy Abbott from FLC A++ Amy from Fiesta Los Cabos was our coordinator and she was GOD SENT! Seriously, she is the most attentive, sweet and creative person I know. She took my vision and made it happen..above and beyond what I could've even imagined. She and her assistants were so on top of everything, we could never have done it without them. From the moment she met us in the lobby of our hotel back in September of '07 to take us on site visits to queing the fireworks guy via cell phone to start when we kissed, to helping me into the taxi at the end of the night...she was there. Her assistant even brought all of our stuff (extra programs, sand ceremony stuff, my gown..) to the resort and it was in the room when we got back from the wedding! Amazing that's all I can say. Well worth the $$!!!! Flowers: The Flower Cart A The only reason they didn't get a + is because my bridesmaid bouquets were supposed to have blue and green hydrangeas as well as green cymbidiums but they were only all green flowers. I was a little bummed because my groomsmens shirts were blue but everything was still beautiful and my bouquet was perfect. They also provided huge floral arrangements on either side of our 'alter' and hydrangeas flanked our aisle and ceremony area and they were great. Resort: Riu Palace and Riu Santa Fe A We offered our guests the option of staying at either of the two Riu resorts so that more folks would be able to afford the trip. If I had it to do again, I would've had everyone stay at one place. The Santa Fe was very nice and there wasn't much difference between there and the Palace in my opinion. In fact, the rooms at the Santa Fe were much newer and cleaner with more updated decor. We spent a lot of time at the Santa Fe including throwing a welcome party at La Mision (the mexican restaurant's terrace). I had a heck of a time trying to get in touch with someone in the groups department when I was in the states but I finally found Juventino Ramos. He works at the Palace and he rocks. Once there, he met us at the front desk upon check in and was there for us (as well as the groups manager, Victor) for the rest of the trip. They made sure that our WC and photographer got into the resort without any hassle. They orchestrated the distribution of our welcome bags between both resorts. They set up our welcome party AND brought in my husbands favorite beer (XX) even though they don't serve it at the resort normally. And they made sure we were happy, that's the most important thing. Not to mention, the resort is beautiful! We stayed in the jacuzzi suite, which had not only a jacuzzi tub in the room, but a second story open-air hottub on a 360 view terrace! We had the BEST view of lands end...so romantic more to come....
  12. FI and I are staying 8 days almost all guests are staying 5. The wedding is on Saturday and they will arrive Thursday, leave Tuesday. Here's our itinerary: We get in on Tuesday 9/30, we have that day/night to relax. Wednesday we meet with WC and have blood test. We also plan to run around and get stuff for out oot bags. Thursday all guests arrive and we have a welcome party at one of the Riu's pool bars for an hour (drinks and apps). After that I assume everyone will move to another bar in the resort and party it up. Friday from 10:30-1:00 we'll have games at the pool. Volleyball, bingo, etc. for prizes. (we got t-shirts and other souvineers the last time we were in Cabo) Friday night, rehersal for wedding party and immediate family with dinner after at Panchos. The rest of the guests are encouraged to meet us out on the town afterwards and we are meeting at the Jungle bar to start the bar hop. Saturday, Wedding. Nothing special planned beforehand. I think my BMs and I will hang out, order lunch and get ready together. Sunday, my parents are setting up a sunset cruise for whoever wants to go and then some people are doing a canopy tour in the morning. Monday, the guys might golf. Tuesday everyone leaves and we might plan a farewell breakfast/brunch at the resort.
  13. I am so lucky that my W.C is in the states visiting family so I'm shipping her a box of stuff that she will bring back with her. Which reminds me, that box needs to go out today! She had told me that shipping things to Mexico can be a nightmare, pricey and can take forever to get there. I didn't want to take the chance of it getting lost either. Then I'm giving some stuff to bridesmaids to bring down with them and we are buying some things there (like snacks for the oot bags). And like someone else said, we also handed out our wedding party gifts a few weeks ago.

  15. I haven't been on here much since my company blocks anything with wedding in the website now...go figure My wedding is just a mere 16 days away!!! I thought I'd start to share some of my planning pics. Here are my program fans, menus and table names. A friend of a friend opened a business from home (Paper Trail Designs) and she does and AWESOME job. I told her my vision and she ran with it. I have yet to post my invites that she did, but I will soon!
  16. Can anyone comment on the colors? Did anyone order anything but natural or brown? I wonder if the green and teal are dark and not so cute...
  17. This is vote #2 for Amy Abbott at Fiestas Los Cabos! She's been amazing so far..she goes way out of her way for her brides
  18. I can't see the pictures for some reason.. Where did you get them?
  19. What a gracious bride you are! Wow, well, my guests and wedding party are all staying at the Riu Los Cabos. They recently opened the Riu Santa Fe which is better for the budget conscious and it's beautiful..also close to downtown Cabo (Dreams is a good 20 minute drive from town). You could also consider a non-all inclusive like the Finesterra. It's in a great location, very nice but still easy on the pocketbook.
  20. I am so late to this thread...but OMG it's exactly two months until I say "I do"!! The time has flown beyond belief. And I can't see any of the posted pics boo...
  21. We are having a difficult time finding "outfits" for my fI's sons for our wedding. He has three boys, ages 10, 8 and 6, who will be his bestmen. We have the groomsmen in cotton/linen khaki's from Banana Republic with light aqua blue buttondowns and the ushers will be in the same pants with light pistachio green shirts. The bridesmaids are in latte brown dresses. We've tried Macy's, Gap Kids...you name it. I figure someone has to have some suggestions out there... please help!
  22. I have some Spanx and love them. They are surprising comfortable but can get a little hot. I haven't experienced the "rolling" thing that some girls are talking about. I ordered mine off of HSN of all places..the woman who took my order took my weight, height, etc and figured out what size I needed. It probably helped that someone told me what size to get, she was right on.
