  1. ah ah ah ah ah ah (ariel song) when I was a kid I always wished I was a mermaid. it was a lot of fun. but hard! We were pressed for time & had so many beautiful places to take pictures, but we wanted to give it a shot. It was super hard with the shallow water & sand getting stirred up. With clothes on we just floated to the top as soon as we went under. I finally started holding on to a rock to stay under. I was also doing a "holding my breath" face for a lot. It was really tricky. I want to try it again! I think I know what to do now. It was awesome having an adventerous photographer that was excited when I said I wanted to take pictures underwater.

You and DH looked like you were having so much fun together, especially when he was hanging from a...tree branch? lol. You looked beautiful throughout Morgan ~ congrats!! It seems like you had a great wedding and really nice vacay to go with it And Kristie O. was your photog, right? Well she did a fabulous job capturing every single moment of your celebration!! many photobooks! I have a free code that expires aug 1st so I'm going to put one together quickly for our AHR. Then I'm making them for the parents & grandparents. And then there is our book. That will probably take a long time to put together & have many pages. As I was laying in the water being sassy, Mike just jumped on that tree branch. it was pretty funny. I like the whole series of pictures from that. Yes, Kristie was my photographer. She is great!

I'm that much closer to going to sleep. I have such a busy day of work tomorrow too.

I have been in my computer chair for 6 hours straight picking out favorites & uploading my pictures. It has been fun though. This weekend will be full of photoprojects.

  7. were the pictures posted directly on the forum? or was it a link to a photographer's page? was it a slideshow?
  8. a BDW mystery one time I was obsessed with finding a picture of a veil. I had such a vague memory of the picture, but we found it.
  9. I tried to narrow them down, but there are still a ton. If you want to see them go to Digital Photo Printing, Free Online Photo Albums & Digital Photo Sharing - Snapfish: log in with the email [email protected] the password is bomerhenderson They are sorted into folders. All of the pro pic folders are labeled. The rest are pictures our guests took. I LOVE them!!! The underwater pictures are still not posted. I'll update when they are ready.
  10. doesn't sound familiar. can you remember anything else about it? 46 people have viewed this thread & no one knows! I hope you can find it. I'm really curious too! If you can remeber any more details post them!
  11. I am SO SORRY you are dealing with this! I had a travel issue before my wedding. Nothing near as drastic. I finally decided that maybe I'd be out some money but no amount of money is worth letting the stress ruin such a happy time. In the end it was all resolved by the time I got back & we even got more money back. Congrats on the pregnancy! This is such a wonderful time in your life. I hope shady vendors don't overshadow your joy. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you fix this.
  12. my friend was married at the san antonio botanical gardens. maybe at the site martha is describing. I can find some pictures if you want to see them.
  13. It doesn't get me down. We always keep a really nice emergency fund, our money is well diversified & our jobs are very secure. I've lost a decent amount of money this year, but if that was something that would really get to me I wouldn't have money in the stock market. I just keep in mind there are ups & downs. We are in a BIG down, but as long as you plan well you don't really need to be afraid.
  14. hollywood couple or was it magazine couple? either way you guys look beautiful together.
  15. I've been thinking about them a lot today. thanks for keeping us posted!
  16. We didn't have groomsmen but if we did we would not have got them bouts. Mike didn't really care about having one. It wasn't the easiest thing to get on right on a shirt, not a suit. We got one for each mom. If gmas were there we would have gotten them one too. We didn't get one for our dad's because we didn't think either would want one. I think they both had on printed tropical shirts. it would have just been too busy. I think they go better with suits. I don't know about mike's mom, but my mom loved hers. She had it on the next day at breakfast pinned to her tanktop. my mom is so cute

I found this online. I was under the impression it was more about workflow. it looks like lightroom cost more. not sure why I thought it was cheaper. Lightroom Pros: • Super Fast Image Editing • Spectacular User Interface • Logical workflow progression • Ability to Print and create Web Galleries directly from RAW image files • Quick Metadata and Keyword Insertion • Much faster editing and processing of a large number of images Lightroom Cons: • Have to Import images to work on them • Slows down with over 10,000 images in the catalog • For processing just one or two images this is a slower workflow Photoshop Pros: • ACR has the same RAW processing controls as Lightroom • ACR Histogram is specialized to the chosen color space (Lightroom is locked into ProPhoto RGB color space with an sRGB tone curve) • Don’t have to Import images to open in Bridge or ACR • Ability to customize processing of RAW images with Photoshop Actions Photoshop Cons: • Slower, less precise editing features in Bridge • Processing lots of images requires actions and can be slower than exporting images from Lightroom • Much slower with editing and processing a large number of images In the end I think it really comes down to the number of images you need to edit because Lightroom, at least in my experience, is many times faster in the editing phase of a workflow than a Bridge, ACR and Photoshop workflow. In my work, shooting adventure sports, I shoot many images even on quick stock shoots. I am almost always shooting at 5 frames per second or more so Lightroom makes more sense because it allows me to compare very similar images easily and mow through images quickly to find the real gems. In contrast, as in Jamey Stilling’s case when he is shooting an ad campaign and fires off less than a hundred images the faster editing advantage of Lightroom isn’t such a big deal. The reality is that only one image is needed. And the odds are good that image is obvious even before the photo shoot is over because an assistant and the art director are reviewing images as they are being shot - so in this case working up that RAW image in ACR 4.1 which has all the same features and power of Lightroom makes a lot more sense. It doesn’t make sense to waste time importing images if all you need to process is one or two images. If you are on the fence as to whether or not Lightroom is worth the extra $299 then maybe this will help. But for me, I’d say if I have to edit more than 100 images at any one time then Lightroom is the way I’d go for sure. Even in some cases where I only shot 50 images for an assignment, I have used Lightroom because I knew that I wanted to make virtual copies for black and white conversions.
  18. A few to add * You can call your credit card companies & tell them to stop sending anything that isn't neccessary. I do like getting my bills because I keep a folder of my credit card statements with my bank statements. But, I get a lot less junk mail. It's also a lot safer to not get those checks in the mail. *https://www.optoutprescreen.com/ you can opt out of being prescreened for credit cards. then you no longer get those preapproved cards in the mail. I did this about a year ago & have maybe received 2 since then. Mike needs to do it because he gets several a week *I always drink tap water. *we buy the powdered gatorade to mix ourselves to avoid the waste then I do a lot of the things people mentioned above. I eat meat, but at most once a week. I've never really liked it. *maintain proper tire pressure. I was just at a discount tire & they will check your tires for free in 3 minutes. it improves gas milage *i keep my driving minimal. I also have a honda civic that is 9 1/2 years old. It's better for the environment to keep a car longer than to get a new one often even if they are more fuel efficient. I know there is much more I can do. I need to get better about paper towels. I go through a lot of napkins. I've also been planning to call more people who send me junk mail & get it to stop. I throw away so much mail a week.

I'm a hands type of person, I can learn if they give me step by step instructions but I really need to actually perform the task in order to retain it. I'm still looking for a good book for beginners of photoshop I just read kevin kubota's digital photography bootcamp. it was great. It goes through the entire process step-by-step. I could be wrong, but I don't think lightroom can do anything photoshop can not. I think it's just a different workflow.
  21. I love the small orange spikey one on your website. If my wedding wasn't already done I would have bought it. It would have matched my bouquet. I also went crazy making hairflowers. I wore the others during the honeymoon. There was a flower in my hair everyday. It's just really hard to find one that looks just right in your hair so I tried a lot of options.

Either that or Aiden needs to get off his ass and learn to stand up so we can take him skating! Last night there were a few other people there, but only 2 kids. I would feel weird if it was a teenage hangout. Typically it's just empty so we take it over.
  24. It was great! I didn't toss & turn. I woke up in the spot I went to sleep in. My back feels really good. It was warmer. It didn't feel warmer to me, but I was a little sweaty this morning.
