They are very good prices too. $30 for a 10x10 20 page book & 50 cents for each extra page. They are not the thick page, flush mount books but that is OK with me. I'm more concerned with getting quality prints of my pages. now I'm worried about the pages being easily smudged. I'm going to look into that.

there are some that you can slip in the pages. they run about $50. There are also some with adhesive where you stick on the pages. I don't know about either of these options. The slip in ones would have a mat around them, so you couldn't do pictures that spread across the pages. I prefer the look of self-mount. I'm not as concerned with the quality of the book. I want to print on nice paper so the pictures look great. If the book won't last a lifetime I can always reorder it. The prints would need to be something that doesn't get finger prints though...hmm lots to look at.

Guestbook - Question for DIY Pages
rodent replied to adias.angel's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
We did a photobook guestbook that guests wrote in. we passed it around during dinner. It looked like people enjoyed flipping through it. I loved reading the comments. they made me so happy. we got several "thank you for including us" and "thanks for planning a great vacation." That meant a lot to me. anyway, my point is that with a small group you could possibly do it during dinner. -
oh, i just remembered the reason why you switched from dreams. my hotel had the same issue with plumbing. 1 guest's room didn't have elctricity for the day & others had toilets back up. Our room was perfect. The lights flickered occasionally. no one minded the problems & many people said they want to go back to the same place.

I don't want to give them the regular books, I wanted the fancy flush-mount. But I think I can't afford it right now and that sucks big time! But Sarah, I never did forget about you, I actually saved your PM's from before in case I decided to use someone, it would def be you (unless I found a crazy cheap price somewhere else!) I'm pretty sure there is no way to do flush mount cheaply. shutterfly, Gift Certificates items on eBay.com The cheapest way is to get a book is to buy shutterfly or snapfish codes on ebay. They are not flush mount & don't have the thick pages, but it's a lot cheaper. Not the same quality, but if the flush mount are not in your budget atleast it's something. This is what i'm doing for our family. I want to get the flush mount book of my dreams for myself, but it might not be in my budget either. I'm barely starting to price it.

Thank you!! yes, that's what I wanted. I didn't care if there were people around, but I just didn't want them up in our business while we were getting married. I was married at catalonia riviera maya. it was one of the less expensive resorts. they have 2 private reception options, we we just did a semi-private dinner. it's not a luxury resort, but we loved it. ana y jose is the name of a hotel. i may have gotten the name wrong. I'm also drawing a blank on the name of the bride married there....her mom is on the forum, oh i'll do a search to see if I can find it. I remember it looking very private.

Is there a place that would let you design it youself and then print it? Not sure if I would wnat to do that, but it doesn't hurt to ask! are you looking for someone to make it? I thought you were looking for a place to order you own. if you want it designed for you, check out this company sproullie designs. i've heard the owner is very nice

I was looking for a place that had the metallic paper like mpix (i got my prints & I love it). This could be an option. I wonder how the pages turn out. Must submit print for book binding. Your prints must be the same size of the album ordered, ie. 10x10 10 page book needs 20 10x10 prints. Send your prints along with a copy of your recepit via mail. After your order is placed, an email is automatically sent with mailing instructions.

my ceremony was on a piece of land that sticks out into a lagoon. people were watching from the beach, but they couldn't get close. I'll be uploading my video soon so you can see what it was like. I did walk through the pool area with my mom on the way to the ceremony. the people didn't bother me. I wouldn't have liked them right there during the ceremony though. They were far enough back that i never noticed anyone was watching until i saw the pictures & video. there have been some very private ceremonies i believe. isn't the ana y jose place very private?

i love it! the only thing I'm dissapointed with is that there is a different song playing as we are walking down the aisle. i didn't know that a song would be played over the natural sound. if I knew that, i would have given him that particular song on the cd of mp3s. mike's best friend recorded it for us so i would really like the real song on the dvd. i'm going to see if i can edit it. but other than that i love it. it was a little hard to watch becasue i was nervous about how it would look & if I was going to look silly. the 2nd time through should be much more enjoyable.

I did do some drunk mexico shopping. The hotel had market night. I bought a bracelet that I thought was 30 pesos. With the bracelet on, I went back to my room to get the $3. It was $30 so I gave it back to the guy.

So after waiting 2 weeks, I emailed claudia to find out why it was taking so long to get to me. Turns out it was a different Morgan's video that was ready & the email was sent to me by mistake. It was a let down to hear that because I was in this constant state of anticipation. Everytime I'd see a fedex guy in my building I'd follow him to see if he was heading towards my lab with my video. The video was supposed to be shipped to my lab so someone would be around to sign for it. Instead, it was shipped to my apartment (another mix up). I wasn't home to sign for it yesterday, so now I'm waiting for it today. it will be here by 10:30am. I'm very excited to see it. I'm just a little dissapointed with all of the mix-ups. I looked at the tracking info for fedex & it only takes a day to arrive from Cancun.
