  1. Give me an A! OK it's the same A, but I retook it today with my new camera I'll straighten it later. I didn't see a B (unless you count the bumble kind) but I got my Y.
  2. morgan's photography I had a really fun day of photography. I posted a trip to gardens & my attempt at a self-portrait. I also found my "A" for this weeks BDW assignment.
  3. I bought the housing for my canon SD600. It was great! We had so much fun with it in mexico. Underwater photography is my current obsession. I only wish the water in NC looked like it does in mexico.

I won't take down any of my referral postings so they will keep coming in. I made a planning blog with all my wedding stuff & a link to the forum so people could get all my templates. then i posted it everywhere. I even put an ad on craigslist & posted a link on youtube with my wedding video. It was fun to bring people in because I know the forum will really help them plan. Thanks again Tammy! My mom is going to go with me. Mike has too much going on this upcoming year to take off. I don't get to see my mom that often so it will be a great trip. We can get a layover together in Dallas to be on the same flight to mexico. Oh, & i have a free flight already with my miles. OK I'm really excited & typing really fast We are talking about trying to go in the winter to go whale watching. My mom keeps calling me to talk about it. She is so excited.

I thought it ended August 31st so i've still been going at it with the referrals. Thank you so much!!! I've been trying my best not to get excited about it until it was over, but I REALLY want to go to Cabo. I've been missing Mexico a lot since I got back from my wedding
  7. i had something similar happen. my eyebrows are difficult because i have a scar on my left one so tehy grow differently. I finally decided to get them straightened out. so I went to someone who said I needed to grow them out for 6-12 months. they looked so bad, but I let them grow out during that time. then she made them look awesome. I kept going to her until she moved out of state. when I made an appointment with someone new i explained what makes my eyebrows more complicated & told her how long it took to get them nice. and she waxed 1/2 of one right off! it was a few weeks before we took our engagement pictures. I was worried I couldn't grow it out by the wedding, but I did. I had much mrore than a week though, I had 9 months. it actually came back better. I used a very subtle eye brow pencile to fill it in as it grew out. I'm much picker about my eyebrows than my hair I'll get my haircut by a student, but I'm very particular about who does my eyebrows.

  10. oh & they claim to have photographed celebrity weddings. the guy who owns it has photographed celebrity weddings, but that doesn't say anything about the quality of the photographers he is hiring. not that they would be bad, but there wouldn't be any consistancy. try the wpja to locate someone. then browse through their blogs & portfolios. for a wedding, make sure to see a few full weddings.
  11. from what i've heard its not good. they are like a photog broker for people trying to get a start. i think its better to go straight to the photog that is a good match for you & leave out the middleman
  12. our guests paid about $700 each for a 3 night stay in an AI, flight & transfer. I didn't want the trip to be a financial burden so i picked a less expensive hotel. I still loved it so it wasn't a hard decision. we paid $1000 each for a week.
  13. I don't think the men have to match to women for formality. so often a DW has the bride in a fancy gown & the guy in slacks & a short sleeve shirt. all around the hotel you see women in sun dresses & men in shorts & t-shirts. I think it just reflects what each likes. When women go on vacation they want to pack their cute outfits. Men typical pack their most comfortable. so i say, let him win. He should get more say in what the guys wear unless he is totally off track & wanting to do something really tacky.
  14. Is it possible that robin was targeted because she was doing 4 weddings during that time? I personally would avoid a hotel that has any sort of policy against outside photographers. It looks like hotels that do more weddings have more rules. My hotel does a couple a week & they were so nice about outside vendors. They don't even require a day pass. The WCs thought it was great that we had our own photographers because they knew the hotel photographer was not good.
  15. alright, I have a final version for now. It's good enough for our after wedding fiesta. After I learn more about premiere I will probably work on it more. But, for now I'm taking a break from the project. Our Wedding Video on Vimeo
  16. I have no expertise, but it does sound like a menopause thing. I would talk to a doctor. some women start menopause way too young.
  17. Oh, i did have a beatuy school disaster. it wasn't an aveda institute. it was a little school in my hometown that didn't have a great rep. My friend was enrolled there & asked me to be her model for her final project. She died my hair bright red with blone highlights. It was pretty for a couple weeks. Then it was fuzzy & orange. She did win a trophy though.
  18. I go to one in chapel hill. it's great. I've been going for about 2 years & Ive never gotten a bad haircut. I did have a bad pedicure though. The polish just fell off one nail at a time. Not chipped, completely fell off in a shet. No big deal, but not worth the money even if it was cheap. I get a wash, mini-facial, and cut each time. It's about $18-$21 depending on how advanced the student is. I ask for someone more advanced because it takes less time. They don't have to get approval for everything. I've done drastic haircuts there- above my chin. I don't color my hair, but I know people who got highlights there & it turned out great. I need to make an appoint for next weekend. I haven't had a haircut in a year!!! It was really short when we got engaged so i needed all the length I could get. Fortunately I don't do a lot to my hair, so it doesn't get split ends without a trim.
  19. Does your work ever bring you to the land of durham, nc? I want to have libations with becks too
