  1. It depends if it's lithium-ion or nickle cadmium li-ion tips: Unlike Ni-Cd batteries, lithium-ion batteries should be charged early and often. However, if they are not used for a long time, they should be brought to a charge level of around 40%–60%. Lithium-ion batteries should not be frequently fully discharged and recharged ("deep-cycled") like Ni-Cd batteries, but this is necessary after about every 30th recharge to recalibrate any external electronic "fuel gauge" (e. g. State Of Charge meter). This prevents the fuel gauge from showing an incorrect battery charge.[21] Li-ion batteries should never be depleted to below their minimum voltage, 2.4 V to 3.0 V per cell. Li-ion batteries should be kept cool. Ideally they are stored in a refrigerator. Aging will take its toll much faster at high temperatures. The high temperatures found in cars cause lithium-ion batteries to degrade rapidly. Li-ion batteries should not be frozen [37] (most lithium-ion battery electrolytes freeze at approximately −40 °C; however, this is much colder than the lowest temperature reached by household freezers). Li-ion batteries should be bought only when needed, because the aging process begins as soon as the battery is manufactured.[21] When using a notebook computer running from fixed line power over extended periods, the battery should be removed,[38] and stored in a cool place so that it is not affected by the heat produced by the computer. and one i want to add- get one of those cool things to set the laptop on. they plug into the usb & keep the computer from getting too hot.
  2. I read that it isn't official for almost a month so some clerks plan to still issue marriage licenses I do think this will go to the courts.
  3. yeah after hearing about that email, i'd just cancel. doesn't sound like it is worth messing with her. a nice thing about ordering from beachbody, is that they have a money back guarantee.

  5. my last one came in about 1-2 weeks. it can be slower around the holidays. i always pick slow shipping & it arrives pretty quick.

  7. if I could only pick one, i'd do the cenote. you can easily spend 1 1/2 hours in the cenote alone. i guess the 1 1/2 includes travel. I wouldn't try to fit in both in that short of time. if you do find a cenote near the beach, it may not be as large or nice as your other options.
  8. do you know if it was over the size limit? if it was too large, mods will remove it

That's a huge accomplishment. I hope that our generation will be able to raise children that have their hearts filled with love and acceptance and they can make a difference in the future. I was thinking the same thing! i just watched obama's speech and it did make me feel hopeful about the changes we will see in our lifetime. prop 8 is a setback, but the fight is not over.
  10. I'm really upset about this today. I stayed up until 1am waiting to hear about prop 8 & finally went to sleep when it wasn't looking good. I feel heartbroken for my homosexual friends. I know how much defeating prop 8 meant to them.
  11. does that leave only north caronlina undeclaired?
  12. so i found out they spray painted the states red or blue on the ice. my friend said they tripped while carrying out ohio, so i thought they were actual states placed on the ice. what is taking north carolina so long
  13. the nutrition guide doesn't really have anything in it unique that you can't get somewhere else. I think the DVDs are what are really great.

This was a very important issue to me, and at the end of the day, I feel that Obama will take better care of both our veterans and those currently serving. It's interesting that we want the same thing but ultimately decided on different candidates, isn't it?! I think it's so interesting that there are so many different ways to interpret things. One of my issues with McCain is that he is a very different person today than he was when he ran in 2000. He was actually in favor of higher taxes for the wealthy in 2000. I think he's a good man, but I feel he's had to change his position in order to get the Republican nod. The party has overtaken him it seems, and I don't feel that he's in control. I was so dissappointed in how his campaign was run, but I honestly don't think he would have run a campaign like that if he had been completely in control. I think if they would have let him be himself, he would have been much more successful. But that's just my opinion. And, honestly, we already have a redistribution of wealth system. Even in Texas, a very conservative state, we have "robin hood" taxes where the tax dollars gathered in wealthy neighborhoods are funneled to schools in lower income areas. That's basically redistribution of wealth, but it is so important to me that kids growing up in lower income areas also have a good education. It stabilizes society and helps us prosper. (And this is coming from a former, very conservative, Republican!) I really do think McCain is a good guy and I think he could have been a good president if they would have let him stick to his beliefs. But I think Obama is a natural leader and will greatly improve our nation and our relations with foreign countries. A leader like Obama does not come around very often! I am so excited at the prospect of having such a phenomenal person as our president. This truly is a monumental day!!!! I appreciate everyone voicing their opinions and staying civil! This has been a great thread! On another note....how late are you guys going to stay up to see the results?? I'm thinking I'm staying up until it's official!! I think so. what is your blood type? It's really interesting to see how texas divides up. Texas - State results When I move back, i plan on picking one of the blue bubbles. I was watching the results on NBC. they had this huge map on an ice skating rink. When a state would get called, they'd carry out a blue or red state to plop down on the map. do you think they made a blue & red version of every state? if so, where does the blue texas end up? What an exciting night!

Obama has pledged to make early education one of his top priorities. Sorry to get off topic! I couldn't help myself since I worked on that issue for 4 straight years... I think we are still on topic. Learning more about programs like that is how I went from fiscally conservative/ socially liberal to full on liberal. I don't want a big government running everything. but there are things that I think are very important for government to handle. and by working more in preventitive measures, we can save tax dollars down the road. not just with education, but healthcare, the environment & other issues. The more I've learned about policy, the more I've seen that my old views on how things should be done do not work. If you haven't read it already, I think you'd really enjoy the book i just finished. it's by paul tough.

I feel very disappointed by the kind of campaign McCain ran. I recently read "whatever it takes" about jeffry canada & the harlem children's zone. it was pretty inspiring. and also made it so clear how important early education is. i was very happy to see that obama supports spreading this program into more cities. When i first heard about this I googled "harlem childrens zone" to see what else I could find out. I saw a lot of people saying things like, "I don't want my tax payer dollars going to pay someone to read to a kid." This is where I think a societal perspective really makes a difference. If we are willing to fund programs that really help kids succeed, then down the road these kids are paying taxes instead of living on welfare. also, spending money now on good programs will cut down on future law enforcement costs. I understand the idea of, "it's my money, i worked hard for it & i want to keep it." I'm a big time saver. I'm sure everyone can see from the way I planned my wedding I don't like spending my money. But, I'm happy to support programs that really will help people and improve our society.
  17. Obama for science, the economy, the environment, healthcare, education...I'm sure there are more. I grew up a republican because I didn't like welfare abuse. Now i don't believe what I thought was the solution was really the solution. I took some health policy classes & feel healthcare reform is VERY important. I feel that the democratic policies will do more to fix the problems that made me think I was a republican growing up. I also don't believe in voting with my personal interest in mind, but rather to look at things from a societal perspective. I have great healthcare myself. After I finish grad school, we will eventually be in a much higher tax bracket. but, i don't want to be influenced by what benefits me the most. I think it's more important to benefit our country as a whole. Also, i look at things in the long run. sure we could improve the economy if we sacrificed the environment. Or spend less on education and save money now. But, we need to think long-term.
  18. tonight I'm going over to a friends to workout while watching the election results. kind of an aerobics/ election marathon.
  19. also, i hope people realize that it's OK to vote no on prop 8 even if they personally do not agree with homosexuality. they are not voting on whether or not to allow homosexuality to continue. it is just a vote for equal rights. i really think this will be the shameful issue we look back on for our generation. it's our generations civil rights act.

I early voted on the first day it was open. it was so convenient. There was a spot on campus, so I just walked over during work. I didn't have to wait at all. The lady put the "i voted" sticker on me & really rubbed it on. it was a little weird. when i voted for the primaries, i was offered a flag sticker. I didn't want one because I was on my way home so it was pointless. I didn't want to waste one. Also, someone stuck one on the handle of my car, so I already had one. it was pretty funny. the person by the door kept insisting i take a flag sticker. i explained all the stuff above, but they wouldn't let up. we do the scantron-like things here. i believe some counties have touch screen. I'm so excited the day is finally here!!!
  22. p90x is easy to follow. the cardio isn't complicated. and following weights is easy too. it's much easier to pick up than something like turbo jam. i p90x while I watch tv. it doesn't take a lot of thought. I'm thinking about doing the bd pics in the spring. i want to take outdoor pictures. plus by then i'll have a little bit of a tan. i planned on doing them for an anniversay gift, but I'd give them to him as soon as i got them back, i'm sure. i don't like waiting. I was having trouble finidng people in my area. i finally thought to go to my local knot board. i got some great suggestions & the girls have been really helpful.
