  1. i just went through all your pro pics on kodak. you really don't have any together! I though I could find some where i could clone other people out. the only walking down the aisle picture has you with your heads down. i hope some guests have some. if you want me to spruce them up in photoshop i can. would this photographer retake some pictures for you? did she realize that she skipped a major part? maybe to a local TTD with her.
  2. Are there candids that you really like? I'm really surprised that with two opportunities she didn't get a bride & groom pic. I could understand if she was not a pro, which is why I think people should always hire a pro. She may have been out of her element with her first DW, but I am still surprised she missed something so huge. I think everyone has a few pictures they wish they would have done. There are so many things to capture on the wedding day that its normal to look back & say, "oh we forgot to do blank." kind of like alyssa & the veil comment. But, the bride & groom pics are a wedding day standard. can you show us what you do have in candids? I personally wouldn't want to restage. those pictures wouldn't mean anything to me. well, i could see doing a TTD afterwards.

Good luck ladies!!! bootcamp? joining the army or is it a bootcamp class?
  4. i looked through all of my emails from claudia & none have a phone number. I didn't confirm with them right before the wedding. the guy showed up. it wasn't miguel though, it was a guy named alex. they really didn't make it clear that i wasn't hiring miguel.
  5. contact claudia (mike's wife.) mike doesn't respond to emails. her email has already been posted, but i'll go look for the phone number....
  6. welcome! my wedding was at the catalonia. I've tried to put all the info about the catalonia on the forum that I could. there is a search bar in the upper right corner. look for my catalonia thread. it's full of info.
  7. 1: What is your current job, and if you had to switch careers, what would the other career be? grad student in genetics program There are hundreds of things I’d love to do, but I think that making a career out of them would ruin the fun. And I’ve been in school so long it would be a shame to not use my degree. I also really like science. So my ideal career is something using my degree that I really enjoy & I take pride in, but it isn’t so demanding that I don’t have time for all my hobbies. I’d love to do more photography, be a personal trainer, teach people personal finance…there are many more. And I think of new things everyday. 2: What is your favorite hobby? photography 3: What is your favorite holiday, and why? Christmas. It’s the only holiday I fly home for so it’s always extra special. 4: What is your greatest achievement? well, the hardest thing I’ve done was an oral/ written exam in grad school. It was something I dreaded for 2 years & spent months preparing for. I don’t know if I’d call it a great achievement but it was the best feeling of accomplishment I’ve had and it gave me confidence to have gotten through it. 5: What is your favorite animal... and why? in the BDW world- ferrets. In the real world- dogs 6: What is your dream trip? renting a house in Greece and having everyone meet us there. 7: What is your fav food? chicken fajitas 8: Who has made the biggest impact in your life? My mom. We are almost the same person. Mike is in 2nd. I’ve only known him 5yrs so he may not have made as much impact as my mom, but he has really changed me. 9: If you were a crayola crayon, what color would you be, and why? lately, plum. I’ve been wearing lots of plum. 10: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? I really like where I am (central North Carolina), but I want to be closer to family. So my hypothetical answer is that I’d stay put, but somehow I’d be only an hours drive from everyone in Texas. 11: How many siblings do you have? older brother 12: What is your biggest fear? roaches 13: Whats your favorite holiday dish you make for your family? I’ve been working on lots of new holiday recipes. Today’s favorite is squash with a cranberry top. The standard favorite is crustless pumpkin pie. 14: Do you have a nickname? mike calls me Mo & every variation on that- Mogurt, Mogle, basically Mo<insert anything here> 15: What causes do you support? mike & I are planning to get involved with a company that builds computers for high school kids. 16: What is your guilty pleasure? reality tv & funyons 17. If you could have one Special Power..What would it be & Why?? stop time zach morris style so I can take a chance to compose myself. I don’t take the time to think when there is too much around me. 18. How old are you? 27 19. If you won the lottery (hundreds of millions) what would you do? I don’t play the lottery, but if I won I don’t think I’d change a lot. I’d invest it and draw some income from that. That way it will last but I can still improve my lifestyle a little. we'd take trips and buy a house, but I wouldn't want to change too much. 20. What gadget to you not need, but still want? (mine is an amazon kindle)
  8. great pictures! was that italy? oh wait, i just went to your blog. yes, italy. amazing!!!
  9. thanks courtney & jenny, great advice. I definitly want to do the outdoor, deserted highway thing. Or an empty field. I've been collecting inspiration pics.

I chose to use the photo cover. I do wish there was an option to design your own pages in addition to using their templates for inserting pictures. There are many backgrounds to choose from, but by the time I chose them for all the pages, I was wishing for more. i agree, i felt really limited by the templates. now i use lumapix to design the pages & then upload them into the one pic per page template.
  11. they don't update a lot. but, yes people have used them since june. originally erik was my photographer & his site didn't get updated in a year.
  12. A reward I set for myself when I started biggest loser was that if I got to my goal weight I would take BD pics. I'm not there yet, but it's good motivation to start planning. So a few questions to everyone who has taken BD pics: anything you wish you did differently? what are you glad you did? do you wish you went sexier? or more conservative? who do you think liked the picture the most, you or your man? do you think it's better to look like yourself or more like a fantasy woman?
  13. hey, don't forget to take north carolina with you. we are blue now. and we have a lot of stem cell research.
  14. I just saw this option on blogger in the publishing section :already own a domain- switch to advanced settings so if you want to keep it the same as your wedding window url, follow those steps.
  15. how did you get your own domain for wedding window? did you buy it through them? are you wanting to now transfer that to your blogger site? if you don't care to use the same domain you had before, the easiest way is to register your domain with godaddy via blogger. I'm just not sure how you'd do it if you wanted to keep it the same as what you had with wedding window. Steps for getting a personal domain in blogger: Settings publishing switch to CUSTOM DOMAIN then just follow the steps- very quick & easy. it's usually $10 a year through godaddy.
  16. I heard the was engaged but i can't beleive hef will walk her down the aisle. that is weird!!!
  17. i get most of my recipes from allrecipes.com i also like to get together with friends to try new recipes. we did a supper club for a while where everyone brought something & the recipe. it didn't stick though.
  18. how is this- they split the rooms 3 ways. then you pay erik's part of the 1/3 since he will be the photographer?
  19. OK, just wanted to make sure people weren't laughing at the chicken prop. it was pretty important, too. If I got to be the decider for one prop, of course I'd pick prop 8. but, it doesn't take away from the fact that prop 2 passing was great.
  20. I think prop 2 (the chicken prop) was also very important & I'm very happy to see it passed.
  21. hmm, i thought someone was photographing me voting. I'll ask the coworkers I went with, but I'm pretty sure someone was taking pictures. I'm sleep deprived & having trouble remembering. ps. i early voted so this was a few weeks ago. just so i don't sound totally clueless.
  22. oooh, that sounds like a wonderful outcome!!!
