The weight is really hard to come off though....I am lucky to average a pound a week. I am regular with my exercise so probably need to look again at what I am eating. Does anyone know of a good resource to determine how many calories you should eat a day? I have stumbled upon so many different calculations. I would probably be in for another round. You ladies are very motivating and should all be proud of yourselves. 12 weeks would be fine and I think starting in January is a good idea. Hope everyone has a good weigh-in tomorrow. a pound a week is really good. here you go http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t9115

http://cdn1.ustream.tv/swf/4/viewer.45.swf?cid=317016 get ready for cuteness overload. it's a live stream of a bunch of shiba inu puppies. I haven't picked a favorite yet. they all have different colored collars so you can keep track of them. Has anyone seen them play yet? Every time I check they are sleeping.

i never buy them. i bought my last ipod refurbished so it came with a 1yr. I bought a 4th gen ipod about 3 years ago for $200. It broke recently. I could buy a used 4th gen for probably what the warranty would have cost, or maybe less. instead I just bought a new ipod. I got a refurb video ipod for $200. If my ipod didn't break, i wouldn't buy a new one. but since it did I got an upgrade & I'm really enjoying the video. I tend to buy electronics cheap so I don't have to get upset when they break. i often buy an older model when the new modle comes out. i got a good deal on my first ipod because it was B&W when the color screens came out.

Economic crisis and rising vendor prices?! wtf!?
rodent replied to Ana's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
prices going down is actually more dangerous for the economy. there is a lot of concern that we are experiencing deflation. Could it be that things are worse in cabo so they are trying to make up for it by charging tourists more? sure people might buy less, but there might be enough people that will pay it. 90% sounds like a huge jump though. i could see it if the person has be starting up a new business that has taken off. -

I have a hard time remembering & i don't have a baby to take care of. we can see what everyone thinks about changing any rules. It doesn't really matter to me. I am really happy with the additional weeks, but don't care about anything else. actually i probably won't compete next time so I can just help everyone else.

I also think we should think about the disqualification rules. I don't think you have to miss 2 weeks back to back to be dq'd. I say if you miss any 2 weeks without prior notice you are out. Its not fair for those that do get their weigh in on time every week or for Ann who has to keep track of everyone. JMO... of course we can all decide the rules for the next one. Morgan, what a difference! I'm kicking my self for not having a decent before picture because I feel like I look so much different now. You have been such a motivator thru BL4. I can't wait to see what you have come up with for BL5. Oh, and I finally got my P90X. I'm starting tomorrow! yay! enjoy your p90X...Bring it! I think we should all throw out ideas for BL5 rules. everyone seems to like 12 weeks. 12 weeks will work perfect for what I have in mind. Changing the DQ rules is fine with me. we should take advantage of the gap between BL4 & BL5 to make a game plan to make BL5 the best yet. When do we want to start up again? Wednesday, Jan 9th? I thought we could also keep each other on track over the holidays to maintain our weight. it's a hard time to try to lose, but if we can atleast keep from falling off the wagon we have done really good.

I'm so happy I took that before picture. I've been losing weight, but not seeing it. It's funny that the thing that motivated me the most was having a good after picture to show y'all. I knew I was losing weight but I didn't think I looked any different. So i thought it would be a huge demotivator for me to lose 10 pounds but look the same. I know health is the most important thing, but we all want to look better too. Another great thing is that I really feel like I've made changes that I can stick with from now on. it no longer feels like a chore. i've eliminated my pitfalls and I don't miss them anymore. so it's not like I'm feeling so excited that the 8 weeks is over & I can return to a normal life. This feels normal now. i've been enjoying meals more even though I'm not eating all that i used to. The only thing I haven't been able to fix though is my need for something sweet after dinner. I don't have my usual chocolate bar. I tried to only have small ones in the house thinking I could eat just one. but, i'd end up eating 3 small pieces after dinner everyday. to replace it I switched to altoids, becuase they taste bad after 2. still, i'd eat 10 altoids to the point where they were terrible. now i've moved on to ricola cough drops. it's the most candy like thing I could get my hands on. they don't even taste good, but I have 3 a day after dinner. so I have to break this post dinner craving. it's getting kind of silly.

I took my after pic this morning, because I wont have time tomorrow. I encourage everyone to take before pics, no matter how difficult. It's so hard to see progress when you look at yourself everyday, so it really helps to have a picture. I'll post more info later, but I'm working on a plan to help everyone through biggest loser 5. If you haven't been able to get the results you wanted from BL1-4, biggest loser 5 is going to be the time it works for you. I was up until 12:30 last night reading fitness & nutrition books. I'm really excited for BL5!

google reader is awesome for blog-stalking. it makes it a lot less obvious when I'm looking at photography blogs instead of working I just started using it a few weeks ago & I'm hooked. ones I have on google reader so far (leaving out the ones already posted)... http://www.google.com/reader/view/fe...2Frss%2F?hl=en http://www.google.com/reader/view/fe...2Frss%2F?hl=en http://www.google.com/reader/view/fe...Fdefault?hl=en http://www.google.com/reader/view/fe...Fdefault?hl=en http://www.google.com/reader/view/fe...2Frss%2F?hl=en http://www.google.com/reader/view/fe...atom.xml?hl=en

PV vs. RM
rodent replied to smith3576's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
I loved the ruins, cenotes (sinkholes) and snorkeling in RM. I also liked the rocky beaches. I'm probably in the minority here, but i thought they were really beautiful. i needed shoes on some parts, but i love the look of the rocks against the water. we took some cool pictures sitting on them. I haven't been to PV, but it sounds really cool. I believe you are in a town which would be fun. las caletas in PV sounds awesome. really you can't go wrong with either. have you compared flights? We picked RM because it was a shorter, cheaper flight. -
i love the design!
