  1. Here are the deals I have found on 22oz stadium cups. I'll post this in a better place later. Promo Force - Promotional Products Custom Imprinted Items 50 minimum, 1 color, 99 cents each Custom Printed Promotional Stadium Cups 100 minimum, 1 color, 69 cents plus $20 setup fee ($89 100 with 1 color, $124 100 with 2 colors).
  2. Here is my simplified 1-color logo. They don't have every cup or ink color so I may have to go with orange on Blue. I think their orange cups are bright orange. I don't have official wedding colors so I can really use whatever color would look good. I also don't know how it works, but they may have to change the font. What do you think?
  3. Great! I've been drawing a starfish!!! Really, I love doing everything the hard way. I'll post the simplified logo once I finish creating it. I'll use one of those starfish. I might finish drawing mine too just because I'm almost done.
  4. Now I need to make it into a 1-color logo for printing on stadium cups. I'm not sure how to do that. I think I need a new, simpler starfish. It will probably need to not be behind the words. A 1-color cup is a lot cheaper. I'll start a thread once I find out the cheapest way to make these cups.
  5. I can't believe I didn't think of that! I made a circle & then started puting dots on it to keep them straight. I might go back & redo my dots the other way. They will be evenly spaced & straight.
  6. If you like the gorillapod, I found it for sale on their website. You can chose to buy it without a package to save money & the environment. Shipping is free, so its cheaper than the other website. Joby - Innovate for Life
  7. Thats probably better. That way you can give it to them at the wedding. I think I'll do that for a friend's wedding. Her flowers will be roses so I can just buy some rose petals. Another gift I give a lot are photo calendars & photo books from shutterfly.com. I usually get them free from various offers on slickdeals.net. You can enter in all the birthdays & holidays you want and they are printed on the calendar. You have to really know someone to have enough pictures to fill it out. My mom & my FI's mom get one every year.

They were the inspiration for my dotted circle, but I actually sat there & placed all those dots in a circle! I should upload my template incase anyone else wants my dotted circle, but doesn't want to waste all that time.

It sounds like a great gift. I might try to make something like that.
  10. Thanks! All great suggestions. Thanks for sharing the auction link.
  11. Althouh we are all planning a wedding right now, we will probably be attending a bunch too. I often find myself going to several weddings a years & buying a nice gift for each can get expensive. I personally do not want expensive gifts for my wedding. Anyway, I came across this article in Kiplingers. Avoid Overspending on Wedding Gifts - Kiplinger.com There is a link to cheap, but thoughtful gift ideas. I really like this one:ThinkGeek :: Gorillapod Its a really cool tripod that you can attach anywhere. I don't know how I like all the gift ideas. Canned food? I also like the idea of sending pictures on a CD or DVD. I always do this after weddings. If people attending my wedding will send me all the pictures they took on a CD, that would be my favorite gift.
  12. I always get burnt too. I wrote it on my list for OOT bags. If I don't end up buying any, I'll add it to the list.
  13. Welcome! This forum is really helpful. I just recently joined & I'm addicted! It has made wedding planning so fun and easy.
  14. If you are not able to make such a detailed invite, you can give them the information on a website. It depends on your guest & if you think most of them have internet access. There are many threads about making a website. I just finished mine using weddingannouncer.com . I was really happy with the design tools & it was free! I plan on sending out small invites and then including the web address so my guest can get all the information that way. I will most likely put together a packet for my guest who do not use the internet much and mail it to them. I haven't started this yet, but it will probably be adapted from the website.
  15. This is what I have on my website now: Packing List Things to bring water shoes- the beach can be rocky camera underwater camera if you plan to snorkel or scuba dive passport!!!!! travel agent's phone number incase there is a problem medication for head aches or stomach pain sunscreen hat snorkel equipment: If you plan on doing a lot of snorkeling, having your own is very nice. The hotel has some you can use, but only for an hour at a time. There is a dive shop 2 miles away where you can rent equipment. You can get a set for $25 on amazon.com. bottle opener sunglasses swimsuits hat dramamine if you get motion sickness single ones for tipping or buying bottled water/beer when away from the hotel calling card if you plan on making phone calls extra batteries for cameras, etc. camera charger & extra memory cards (for digital cameras) outlet adaptor, if your plugs are 3 prong. The outlets in Mexico are like the 2-prong outlets in the US. insect repellant comfortable shoes addresses if you plan on sending postcards Things to do Make a copy of your passport to leave with someone back home incase your passport is lost or stolen. Leave the phone numbers & last 4 digits for your credit cards with someone so they can cancel them if they are lost or stolen. Call your credit card companies and inform them you will be in Mexico so they do not freeze your account due to suspicious activity. Inform your bank you will be in Mexico, if you plan on using your ATM card. You can ask them to temporarily raise the max on how much you can withdraw per day. I didn't include the emergency numbers b/c I'll put them in the OOT bags. I might look them up & post them on the website too.
  16. Aare electrical outlets the same in mexico as in the US? I can't remember ever using an outlet when I've been there. My camera battery is recharged by being plugged in. Are there usually outlets in the hotel? What types of insects are your trying to repell? Mosquitos? I could see them being a problem in the jungle. They shouldn't be an issue on the beach right?
  17. I hope you had a wonderful wedding & great adventures!

We'll be in the Carribean!" This is why I'm planning the wedding.
  19. Great ideas! I thought of another thing. Its not really something to pack, but something to do. Call you CC companies & bank & let them know you will be in Mexico so they don't put a stop on your credit cards.
  20. I have been working on my "things to do page" on my website for a while. I just came across your post that I bookmarked a while back. Thanks for all the great ideas! Everything looks so wonderful, I can't decide what to do.
  21. I am making a things to pack section for my website. What am I missing? water shoes- the beach can be rocky underwater camera if you plan to snorkel or scuba dive passport!!!!! travel agent's phone number incase there is a problem medication for head aches or stomach pain sunscreen
  22. Amanda, I'm working on my website right now. I have been look at many for ideas so I clicked yours. Your link isn't working.
  23. I just realized something about this map. If there is an area with nothing more than trees, they skip it & show the next cool area. I thought a lagoon was right by our hotel, but now I see its a few miles down. I am now using these two maps together to really get an idea of whats around the hotel http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...here-else.html
