I've been thinking more about this. You could take pictures in the sand at the beach of all the letters. So that way if you can't find a P in nature, you have the sand one to use. I can't wait to do this on my next hiking trip. We should start a thread to exchange picture ideas once we start making these. I get too excited about stuff as you can probably tell. Do you have a link to some of the ones they sell? I found this one PERSONALIZED PHOTO WALL ART | Unique, Customizable Home Dcor Gift Spells Words with Photographed Letters found in Nature, Architecture | UncommonGoods -

If you like fishing, here's one Gone Fishing Funny Wedding Cake Topper - WE-710 There are a bunch of the bride running away or dragging the groom. I'm not sure if I like those. Not very romantic Another idea could be to get action figures & put a veil on the girl. Like 2 transformers on the pie & one has a veil. Years ago (so they may not still carry them) I bought a cake topper at dollar tree with 2 bears on a motorcycle. It was a gag gift, because I was buying the bride's cake topper for her birthday. I told her they didn't have hers in stock so I got this one instead. She was so upset, but trying not to show it. Then I pulled out the real one. What was so funny, was that her FI preferred the bears. She put it on his cake -

They were on sale for $14 in the store. They come in a soft gold color & were beautiful. Unfortunately they did not have my size. I'll check the website. I don't need them for anything, so maybe I shouldn't check. Typically I wear a 8 1/2 in dress shoes & a 9 in athletic shoes. I needed a 9 in these so they run 1 /2 size small.Target : Isaac Mizrahi for Target® Amanda Strappy Wedges - White -

As you are out hiking you can just start taking pictures of all the letters you see. That way when a wedding comes up, you can spell out their name. You could do it for new babies too. I might try this. My new DIY wedding gift will be making movie montages. I just got a camcorder last night. I plan on filming all the weddings I go to. Then use windows movie maker to create a photo/ video montage set to their first dance song. -

I got the gorillapod for my birthday. It's great! It's small enough to fit in my little purse. I pulled it out at dinner tonight to get a group picture. It can hang on the back of a chair. The top swivels so you can get everything centered easily. I'm going to order a whole bunch for gifts. I have the smallest one & it can also hold my camcorder which is the size of my hand. Everyone is getting gorillapods from me for christmas. Weddings too. It would be great to take on a honeymoon & get pictures when it's just the two of you. Joby - Innovate for Life -

Fake keds were all I wore. I didn't have any real lace up shoes until I got my neon pink LA gears in 5th grade. Remember keppas? They were cheerleading shoes, but everyone started wearing them. You could swap out the colored triangles. I'd change mine every day to match my outfit. -

I got one of these for my birthday Joby - Innovate for Life & it's awesome. It's a tripod that can go anywhere. I took a great group picture at dinner using the tripod & timer. It can just hook on the back of a chair & swivels to get the picture just right. I'm going to order a bunch for gifts now that I know it's great. I bought a camcorder to record wedding stuff. It came in the mail today & fits on my gorillapod too. OK, I'm getting way too excited. I'm hyped up on birthday cake & cheeseburgers.

I use those websites for searching for flights, but always book from the airline directly. It's usually $8-$10 cheaper & you can get better customer service if something goes wrong.

Is there a difference between Bare Escentuals & Bare Minerals. Is Bare Essentials also the same thing? I was thinking about trying it. I don't wear makeup daily. My powder is clinique. I bought it for a wedding in 2001. I should probably get some new stuff soon. I just feel like I should finish off the container, but 6 years is probably getting a little old. I bought it to wear in a friends wedding, because I didn't own powder. She is already divorced & remarried, so thats probably a good clue the powder is old. I use the citi diamond card & I'm almost eligable for another $100 gift card. I've thought about getting it for sephora & getting all the stuff I need to start using bare escentuals. Everyone who I know that wears it, becomes a spokesperson for it because they love it that much. I also like a clean feel & natural look. This isn't exactly makeup, but my must have beauty product is Sally Hansen nail polish. It's the best & it's cheap. It's so easy to put on & has a great finish. I'm always getting asked where I get my nails done. I do it myself at home with Sally Hansen. They make a french manicure set with a white paint pen. It's the easiest french manicure I've ever done.

cost for lining a dress
rodent replied to rodent's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I'll have to check it in the sun. I'll be standing outside my apartment in my wedding dress trying to tell if you can see my underware. That will be a funny image for anyone driving by. If it is see through, it will be easy to wear a slip with. That last dress was just a problem because it was a little clingy. This one is flowy. -

Slap bracelets were banned at my school so only the rebels wore them. The Care Bear glass collection from Pizza Hut was all I drank out of in the 80s. There was a mall we were not allowed to go to (Sunrise in Corpus Christi) because the high school kids were dresses like punks and they scared my parents. I was telling some friends who I regret I ever got rid of my crimping iron. Then one of my friends gave me one. It's an original one from the 80s! I forgot about the saying gagged with a spoon. Thats so funny! What's this one- "and my name, is Charlie. They work for me." There should be something about punky bruester & rainbow bright. And rebok pumps. That might have been 1990. Remember when it was so cool to have that little slit in your shoes so people could see your Air. -
September Wedding?

Not ideal because of the risk of hurricanes? I was too worried to plan during peak hurricane season. If you do, I'd sugget getting wedding insurance. You can get great travel prices then. -
How'd you know? It's not on the calendar. I tried to add it, but there was an error.

There are stickers about friendship, etc. in the scrapbook aisle of craftstores. I bought a set of those to use for the photoalbum. Another gift I really liked was a picture frame that had words schlacked (sp?) all over it. She cut the words out from magazines. They were all inside jokes we had. The frame is a wide, flat frame made for crafts. I think it came from walmart. -
Post your wedding shoes

I ordered the silver ones, but I'm so tempted to get the gold ones too. What do I need with 2 pairs of starfish shoes? I hope they look good with my dress. If not, I'll wear them at the pool with my white swimsuit. It's so much fun getting to create multiple wedding outfits for a DW. My birthday is tomorrow & I told my FI I want a snorkel set with a veil attached. -

Reception after DW

If you want to wear it, go for it. I think people will enjoy seeing you in your dress. Why the mixed feelings? I'm having a casual party afterwards, but if I feel like it I'm wearing the dress -
cost for lining a dress
rodent replied to rodent's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
It was going to be about $30. I was having trouble finding a lining that would be opaque enough, but not too bulky. After spending all day on this, I decided I didn't like the dress enough. So I'm taking it back & I found a dress I absolutely love. I'll post a picture once I have one better than me standing in front of a mirror with a camera. -
When I flew to mexico, before you needed a passport, you had to have the Birth certificate with a seal. I had to reorder mine recently, because I had the Abstract form with a seal, but for a passport they need the long form. I ordered it all online & it came in quick. maybe just a week or two.
