I've always heard shoulder length is the best for an updo. My hair is always a length b/w my shoulders & chin, so I flip it out like that when I'm a bridesmaid. But, I want it up for my wedding. Mostly because we'll be outside in the wind. I've started to let it grow out.

I searched but couldn't find this topic anywhere else. How do you keep your ring clean? I've been meaning to buy cleaner & haven't gotten around to it. I want to make sure I get the right stuff, so I'd rather use nothing at all than something bad for my ring. But, I've had the ring for 2 months now so I need to clean it!! I get smudges on the top all the time that I rub off with a tshirt. I think they might be from wearing latex gloves. Anyone else have this problem?

I think that's a great plan. Besides, 2 vacations are better than one! Especially when it's so cold in Feb & you get to head back to Mexico!!!

in playa del carmen there will be a lot of fun things to do out of the water. You can still lay on the beach & lay by the pool. There are awesome things to do in the jungle. Zip lines, ride horses on the beach, xcaret, tulum, etc.

tara, who did you order from? I'm doing my postcards from vista print, but i had a few questions about what to do.

Mine are going out to people who we wouldn't expect would want to go to mexico too. So I want to make them a little more detailed. They will be postcards with 2 engagement pics on the front, our logo & website & text on the back. I'm thinking something like this (but better). We are getting married in Riviera Maya, Mexico on June 21, 2008! If you'd like to join us, all the information you need is availble on our website. We will also be having parties in North Carolina and Texas to celebrate after the wedding. Formal invitations to these events will follow. I really need to work on what to write to make it sound better, but that's the general idea. I don't want people to feel pressure to go by getting something that just says save the date. I always worry too much about offending though.

We are doing it in the US ahead of time. I'm excited for it to be a day just for the two of us. I've told my mom so far & she thought it was a great idea. I don't think a wedding in mexico is that hard, but I didn't like having to get there so far in advance. We'd rather have more time after the wedding in mexico, than before. It's also saving us a bunch of money this way & we can have the ceremony however we want it. There is a great thread on here somewhere of what people decided to do. It helped me make this choice.

Can you fix it the way you want for the wedding if it's that short? I finally found a short haircut I love, but I'm now having to grow it out for the wedding. I think it only needs to be shoulder length to get an updo. I didn't find a good website to look at hairstyles, but I did a google image search for "medium lenght hair" and all sorts of variations of that until I saw what I liked.

I don't think I'd like that feeling. I used to work at a gym & we had those old fashioned big bands you could wrap around you & vibrate. I don't think they really did anything. Someone women would come in & just use those & nothing else. They didn't lose any weight. They can also increase the size of vericose veins. This might be different though.

I can't decide between the two, so I'd say stick with the one you already have. Both are great.

I've been thinking of some inexpensive group activities. I don't think you have to spend a lot of money on your guest to show them how thankful you are they made the trip. I think it's also important to let them know the group things are optional. They have limited time & may already have a list of things they want to do. Here are my ideas so far. Some are just for the RM, but others would work anywhere: Put sunset time on their schedule & suggest everyone meet on the beach one night to watch the sunset. I'll probably buy a cooler & fill it with beer. If I can't find one, we'll just grab a drink from the hotel bar on the way out. We are staying at an AI. Pay for van ride to Tulum on Sunday. The vans are like $2 a person & Tulum is free on Sundays. I still need to fact check this. I've read somewhere it's only free for people who live in mexico. Pay for a van/cab ride to a lagoon for everyone to snorkel. There is a lagoon 2 miles from us with a dive shop that rents snorkeling gear. I'm suggesting everyone bring their own if they plan on going a lot. Pay for van/cab to playa del carmen for shopping trip. Many guest are the most excited about karaoke at the hotel bar. We have some guest who are really serious about karaoke. I'm a little scared of them all coming together at once. Our hotel has a lot of free activities at night. They have musicals, game nights, dances, etc. I think that will be great group entertainment. We are also organizing a deep sea fishing trip for those interested. We are not paying for it though. I don't think anyone would expect us too. I'm doing all the work to put it together & i think guest will appreciate that. I'm also making OOT bags.

OK, now I'm hooked on lumapixs. i just needed to play with it a little. My new STD looks so much nicer, but I can't figure out how to save it as a jpeg. Maybe because I'm using the trial version. It saves as a .scrap.
