I wouldn't pay attention to the extreme fat loss one either. Cutting 700 calories is way too much. Also, they really should say "weight loss" not "fat loss". I think it's a good tool though. People usually think they shouldn't eat so many calories when they diet so they cut back too far. It helps to see you don't have to be drastic. It's better to find something you can stick with for life & still be happy.

Are you shorter than 4' 11"? Maybe it can't handle below a certain height. I wouldn't trust it if it doesn't seem right.
-
yeah, i calculated 85 lbs at 4' 11" & they got more than that. Something must be wrong. maybe enter in your numbers again.

I tried it through Powerpoint and my pictures look fine full screen... Have you converted it to a movie yet? When you are still editing it looks really bad. Once you convert it to a movie file, it should look fine. The option is in the file tab. It's called "save as movie" or something like that. I'd open it to get the exact wording, but it takes a while to open. Let me know if you don't figure it out. Saving it takes several minutes.

I was going to suggest the etcher too (i think it's called lite scribe) but it can take 30 minutes per DVD. For 90 DVDs that might be too much. It does look really cool.

I want these shoes!!!
rodent replied to boscobel's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
yeah, a lot of us have been lusting over those shoes, but the price tag just ruins it. I bet you could make something like this. You could even make the starfish match your colors then. Watch out for stuff that can get caught on your dress too. might trip you. -
If you don't have burning software, check out nero burning rom. it's very easy to use. DVDs are something that really vary in price. If you get a good deal on them, they are 25 cents each. We always buy name brand too (sony or TDK). We had some problems with generics. There is also a difference between DVD+Rs & DVD-Rs. Some burners only do one type. Movie maker is already on your computer if you have windows XP. I thought it was really easy to start using. I would think you could do this for a lot less than $15 each. Maybe $1 per DVD including disc, case & lable.

If they can't even drop a postcard in the mail that already has a stamp on it, they may not write down the important info like which date to save. How many of them are you sending? You could actually add music files to the dvd too and make it a keepsake for people.. I know what you mean. I don't understand why people can't RSVP. I return those things before I even drive away from the mail box. Have you used Movie maker before? That might be useful for editing your video. I started a thread about how to use it.

I've also tried Clinque...didn't work well. My friend sold Mary Kay and guiltly made me purchase some from her. YIKES- that was the worst. My skin was so oily. I do love Laura Mercier as well. It's more on the expensive side, so I tried Mac instead. Funny how people's skin is so different. Clinique & mary kay are 2 that I can wear. My mom's dermatologist told her to get mary kay & all her skin problems went away. I hope bare minerals works for me because I have $60 worth of it! I haven't used it yet. I wanted to watch the DVD first. I can't stand perfume in makeup. They put some lip gloss on me at sephora & I had to go wipe it off. It was Nars. Real expensive & voted the best lip gloss there. I hated it.

You are limited with your options though. You can't make the pictures any size you want. There are about 10 templates for each 1, 2, 3 & 4 pics per page. Then there are some for 5+. You can't customize the layouts so it has to fit into a template already there. You can chose a different template per page though. When you first start to make it, they will already put a variety of page layouts together. I always changed the default (which is simple) to make it how I want. OK, again probably too complicated. Go play with it & you'll see how simple it is. -

Thanks! Yes, it's really easy to use. It can just be time consuming because of all the choices. You upload all the pictures which is simple. Then gather them together for the project. Then you click layout options, background options & frame options & just start dragging the pictures into the frames. You can add text or leave the text boxes blank. At the end you can rearrange the pictures. That may have sounded more complicated than it really is. You can save the project too. I usually have to break it into multiple sessions because I'll spend so long on one book. My guest book will ship next week. I'll post it then. It has 1 small picture per page & lots of space for signing. -
Afterseeing some talk of calories on the shout box, I thought I'd post all that I know about losing weight. Add to it or correct me if I got something wrong. Here is a calculator to see how many calories you need. Calorie Calculator - Daily Caloric Needs This is just an estimate, but I've always found it to work pretty well. If I am working out 5xs per week, I get 2000 calories. If I cut 250 calories per day, I will lose 1/2 lb per week. When I keep track & do this it really works just like that for me. For every 3500 calories cut, you should lose a pound. Again, this is just an estimate and people may vary. Unless you have been drastically over eatting, you shouldnt cut more than 500 calories per day. So if you did 500 per day, you could lose 1 lb per week. You can also cut 250 calories & exercise off 250 & lose 1lb per week. I think the best thing to do is to start writting down everything you eat for the week & total up the calories. Maybe don't even start dieting that week. Just get prepaired. Then see easy places to cut back, like soft drinks or empty calories. After that start looking for more filling foods to replace food that doesn't fill you up. I find that if I eat an apple at lunch (only 81 cal) I am much fuller & don't need to eat as much. I also switched to a higer fiber cereal. Fiber is usually the key to getting full on less calories, but you have to add it in slowly. I think women need about 20-30 grams. I can't have more than 25 grams without feeling sick. Figure out what works for you. As you lose weight, you have to recalculate your calorie needs. You will start to need less & then have to start eating less. I think this is a big reason people hit plateus. After getting the basic formula down, the hard part is sticking to it. I'm always looking for healthy, filling meals that make it easy to stick with it. I also find fun ways to exercise. It doesn't have to be torture. I'm actually much happier when I'm eating right. I cook yummier food. When I'm lazy, I start to eat bad stuff I can throw together fast.
