How do you clean your ring?

Question for those who wrote their own vows...

Did you carry the notecard in your hand? I think I'll write mine down incase I go blank, but I'm pretty good at memorizing stuff. That reminds me- he is supposed to write down what he said when he proposed. I was too dizzy & shocked to know what he said! I'd like to know now! -
Did you memorize them or have a note card? Was it hard to get through them without crying? I feel like we need to do a rehersal just so I can get the tears out of my system. I was thinking we'd read them to each other the day we do the legal ceremony. Not at the courthouse, but afterwards at home. I don't want to take away from the ceremony, but I worry I won't be able to control my crying & I'll have a red face & runny nose. Anyone want to share their vows?

Palladium Wedding Bands
rodent replied to foxytv's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I wanted palladium, but my setting didn't come in that metal. The setting is a designer setting. I don't know if that the right word, but only one company can make it. -

After that recent deal to get free books a lot of codes started showing up on ebay. I think you can get a code for $3 each. I haven't tried yet. I made a baby book for a friend & she wants 4 copies for gifts.

Here is another code for picaboo 1PB1GF-CB - buy a large book, get a medium book for free has anyone used them? I don't know when the free large book deal expires, but it is 11 x 8.5 inches. They said their books can be written on with a sharpie, if anyone is interested in making a guest book.

So I thought I would ask my brother who is a music major in school right now and Drum Major for his college, if maybe he could play a song or two and have any of his friends play other pieces like the piano and his gf plays the french horn and they could record this for me. Then when I walk down the aisle I could play it so it's kinda like hes there playing it for me. I don't know? What do you guys think? Sappy?? Ugh. I think that sounds great. A friend is recording piano music for me & my dad is recording some singing.

Ladies..Pick My Dress 4 Me!!!
rodent replied to BillysBride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I like #1, but I tend to prefer more casual dresses. It would help if you had pictures of you in the dress. -
Here is ours from halloween 2004. Most of my good halloween pictures aren't digital. Maybe I'll scan one later.

I felt the same way. my old username was mlb36. I didn't want to say my real name or any personal info. One most forums I am pretty anonymous because I'm not used to them being friendly environments. I was scared to post my first post because I was worried I'd be attacked with "We've already posted that" announcements. Once I saw how friendly everyone was, I changed my user name & started participating. I don't think I ever posted in the newbie section to be welcomed.

It worked. That's what i've done in the past & it never worked. Weird. I'm on a new computer now so maybe that's the difference. Thanks! I don't think suggesting that people resize to something like a 320 x 240 should be a big deal. I think it's a nice size for siggy pics. I always try to keep mine around that size. I've just had problem with it either being really small or huge. No in between. So I opt for small, but I'm glad to know how to make it the right size now.
-
I'm pretty good on the computer, but I can not figure out how to make my siggy pic smaller on photobucket. When i click resize & say smaller it doesn't change. But I do try to keep it small. I've seen people struggle with posting a siggy & once they get it up they think it's too big but don't know how to change it. So if someone wrote up steps for resizing, I think more people would opt for a smaller siggy anyway. I haven't thought about turning off the siggys, but I probably will at work too. Even when i'm eating lunch, I'd prefer my coworkers not notice how much time I spend on the forum.

I thought we had to have one, so I told everyone we would. I'm not really excited about it because it's one more thing to plan & pay for. If I had to do over, I probably wouldn't have said we'd do one in the first place. But, if we are going to do it we are keeping it cheap & simple. It will just be a BBQ at a park. This will be in Texas where our family is. In north carolina where we live & have a bunch of friends, we are having a house party. That's something I can get excited about. The Texas party feels more like a chore and obligation. I don't think you need to have an AHR & if you do I don't think it needs to be formal.

What do you do right when the ceremony is over?
rodent replied to rodent's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Oh that totally makes sense to do the group picture first. -
When the ceremony is over & you walk down the aisle where do you go? We want to take pictures on the beach right after the ceremony so do we walk straight out to the beach? I'll probably need to touch up my makeup (I'm a cryer) so do we go back to our room? I don't want it to look like we started consumating the marriage immediately. I can imagine the timeline of the day except for that one part. So what did you do as soon as the ceremony was over?
-
I think 3-5 seconds per picture. I usually like faster slideshows. I make mine with windows movie maker & set the pictures to show for varying lengths of time. That way scenery shots can be quicker and really good pictures can stay up longer. You can also make them change in beat with the music. A 5 minute song would take 60-100 pictures if they each showed for 5-3 seconds. If I got my numbers right (I always mess up by a magnitude of 10).
