  1. You are being so nice to just tell them a color. How formal are these dresses? I have always wished the bride would just give us a color & let us pick out our own dress. That way you can fit your budget & actually like the dress. They should be picking out things that they know would look bad just to save a little money. That's unfair to you when you've been really nice.

Then your pictures will already be on photobucket ready to share with us! Is there an easier way to upload an entire album to photobucket & not have to do it one picture at a time? If not, I think it would take to long for guest to upload. Oh wait, I just saw it. It's new & called bulk uploaded. Awesome! You can also order prints of photobucket. They are 15 cents a print. Thats a little higher than most.

I was going to say, maybe you could work out with him to keep that motivation going if you do. No, I haven't lived with him in over 16 years. He is in Texas & I am in NC. I do try to talk to him reguarly to keep him motivated. It brings tears to my eyes when I talk about how wonderful it is. He was in a wheelchair the last few years, and now he walks a track in the morning. I'll see him this christmas for the first time in a year. Then I won't see him again until the wedding. I can't imagine how amazing it would be to see him thin at the wedding. This has been one of the best things that has come out of planning my wedding. When things get a little stressful & I wish we eloped, I think about the great things like my dad having motivation to get in shape. I'm just a little stressed out right now about booking trips!

I thought people had to pay for a nights stay for the outside photog. I could be wrong. It also sounds like EDR might be changing their policy so apply some pressure to them. Another option some people do is to have the hotel photographer take the ceremony pictures & then meet a different photographer on a beach afterwards & take some pictures. Hopefully you can just have one great photographer.
  5. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-overload.html Not the pro pics, just snapshots.
  6. They did Anny's wedding. Her pictures are great. Their prices are also very reasonable. Doesn't EDR have weird rules about outside photography? I'll look for Anny's pictures.
  7. I've had a few friends like this. They are constantly seeing what they can get from people. When they do get extra cash, they don't pay people back- they spend it on themselves. If she doesn't have the money she doesn't need to get her hair dyed. It's not a neccessity. She may be a great friend in other areas, so don't let it ruin your friendship. Just protect yourself. I always have my guard up with friends like that. In a way it does ruin the friendship. I'm less likely to want to do stuff with them because it becomes stressful.
  8. My dad is a big guy. He will probably not fit in one seat. I've been talking to my TA about buying him two seats or what we need to do. She is still trying to figure it out. On a charter flight he'd have to pay for two seats minus the taxes & fees on the 2nd. It makes his 3 night stay $1000. Other guests are paying $650. He is determined to lose weight before the wedding. He really has been making progress, but I don't know how much is realistic. He weighs somewhere around 500lbs. He hasn't flown in over 26 years & I was really surprised he would come to the wedding. It's been wonderful that he is so excited about it & motivated. What's the best way to book two seats? Commercial or charter? UPDATE My dad has lost over 100 pounds since June. But, with only 4 months left he will still need two seats. I'm glad we booked it this way. He went ahead & paid the $1000 for two seats when he booked. I am really happy to hear that he has lost so much in 7 months. He said he feels like dancing!

I just need to send in my deposit. I am getting a modified package #2. I will get all my images on a CD, but no prints, and 2 1/2 hours of photography for $1,050. I have stretched my budget from $600, but I think it will be worth it. I really love his pictures. We are now staying in a standard room - not a suite to make up the difference.
  10. My wedding is June 21 & no guests have booked yet. Prices have been too high. My TA suggested booking october or november, so we are working on it soon. It's better to book hotel & flight together.

    New!!!

Did you go to Texas A&M? My FI & I are class of '03. We are also getting married June '08 in Riviera Maya. Gig Em Morgan http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...k-wedding.html
  14. Here is the original picture. I cropped out the bridesmaid, but moved the bird over These are ones where I played with the color And these were done using the artistic effects in photoshop
  15. Puerto Aventuras marina photo tour, aerial images Here is an aerial image of the hotel. My hotel is right down the beach. Sorry, I don't have any more information about it. Have you checked trip advisor? I was able to find people who were married at my hotel when I wasn't able to find anyone on here.

I have SO many pics from my digital camera that I've never had printed! He should uninstall it. It was very easy to remove. Or next time you are at his house, uninstall it for him. I was so happy when i took it off my computer. I was nervous to do that because I was scared it would mess up my pictures, but they were fine.
  18. I don't have either that I have made. I haven't started working on that yet. Here is a sample timeline from aylee Aylee bits » DIY: Day Of Timeline

Never mind that the STD's had been mailed and clearly indicated Puerto Rico! Now FI's family will need to rush back to NY. My mom wants me to just elope and keeps mentioning how my brothers cannot afford to go and how much it will cost blah blah blah. Well if my brothers would get jobs and stop spending their money on alcohol perhaps they could swing it! Wedding planning sucks! Wow! that's rough. How do you feel about eloping? I think if people were being that rude to me, I'd prefer to go alone. Or have your good friends come along- just the people who are excited & want to celebrate with you. If your family is not cooperating you might have a better time without them. But it all depends on how you feel about it. You shouldn't go without your family if you would be sad not having them there. I personally would rather only have the positive, supportive people at my wedding. If anyone has a problem with it, they can just watch the DVD when we get back.
  20. We have the same wedding date! Do you want a template for making your own timeline? Or a sample timeline to know how to plan the day?

However, you don't need to download the kodak program to use their website for downloading pictures, it works the same as any other pictures sharing site. That's good to know. It's the Kodak Easy Share software that I didn't like. I've never used the website so I didn't know how it worked. Will the kodak website let you download a high res image for free?
  22. Windows Live space Windows live spaces. You create an account (simple process) and do not need to download anything, except the upload tool. All websites use an upload tool. It's an easy download. I'm mostly trying to avoid the types of downloads that change how you computer behaves. Once you have an account, it's very easy to upload pictures. You can easily download your pictures (for free) in a resolution high enough to order an 11x14 print. You can also click a button that takes you to snapfish to order prints of your pictures if you want to do it that way. So far it has everything I'm looking for. The only problem is I don't think you can create a group room like the others. Everyone would be making their own individual pages. I still need to spend more time on it. If there is a way to make a group room, I think this website would be the best option. This is everything I'm looking for in a website: -Easy for guests to upload pictures without downloading software (other tha the Active x control uploading tools) -easy option for ordering prints -ability to download a high resolution of the image if you want to photoshop it or use it in another project (preferably free) So far snapfish fits this the best, but downloads are 5 cents a picture. The snapfish download process is also easy. On some websites you have to download each picture one at a time. Snapfish allows 50 at a time.
