So i have to set a time limit for a project like this. I told myself I could work on it until after lunch. i went over an hour, but still it keeps me under control. There are things I want to change, but I have to draw the line somewhere or I'll always be working on the book. Usually getting the free shipping coupons forces me to have a deadline. Now that I have lumapix I want to remake all the books I've done before!
  2. OK, i figured it out. When I export it as a jpg in lumapix, I needed to have unclicked "draw frame numbers." no big deal. i will just need to re-export each page & then upload them into shuterfly.
  3. There is a number on the top of every picture! I think lumapix put it there. i just now noticed it! I can't believe I'm going to have to do something to each picture now. I'll make that tomorrows project. I've been working on this book for 5 hours!! Oh my, time flys when I'm working on photo projects!!!
  4. Here is a photobook I made for a friend. She sent me all of her wedding pictures to photoshop out her sunburn. The I started doing more creative things with her pictures. I decided to make them into a photobook for her. This will be a complete surprise to her. I designed the book using lumapix & I'm going to order it through shutterfly (using the free code I won this week:) ) share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AbsW7hw5bMmLtA The Cover

I wonder if you saved it as 600dpi at half size if that would work? I don't know- just kinda thinking out loud. Although, I don't know if the version you have would support that either. I've got the extreme version. If you want me to make the big collage for you I'd be happy to, then email you the jpg. Just let me know. My version will only support 250dpi for an 8x8 collage. I'm a little worried how this will look. I'll post once the project comes in. I may have to get your help for the 11x14. I'll let you know. I'm working on a photobook right now. I'll post it soon.
  6. I just got a free shipping code from shutterfly that expires in 3 days so I have a lot of projects to finish!!! If you leave items in your shopping cart, they will send you free shipping codes trying to encourage you to place an order.

  8. Thanks for introducing me to & getting me hooked on lumapix. I need to make an 11x14 collage, but my version does not support making anything over 12x12. Do you know if I can make the collage 1/2 size so it's the same dementions & then upload it into shutterfly & order it as an 11x14? What resolution (# pixels) do you recommend saving the image as to order it as a print?
  9. I'm making a collage of pictures from the day we got engaged. I'll hang it at our AHR's. The print will be an 11x14. I won the collages from this contest: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...fly-stuff.html Which style looks the best? They are all rough drafts so the pictures are not the exact same size or lined up perfect. I meant to remove the white frames from 2 & 3. #1 #2 #3 #4

I just trusted her. definitly safer, but you do still have to worry about people taking screen shots.

We do have a BDW photobucket account, so girls can always post it in there.. I think photobucket is searchable like youtube. The pictures might be seen by more people on a photobucket account. I think if it's going to make people safer, it needs to be something password protected.

What were they making fun of? maybe we can figure out a safer way to share BD pics then. maybe set up a group account with something like shutterfly that is password protected. Then people have to PM a mod for the password and only active members can ge the password. I did a quick google image search for "BD Pics" & a BDW member of the month symbol shows up. I clicked it & it takes you to a page about someone's BD pics. Luckily they didn't post them on the thread. But if they did, those pictures might have shown up in google images.
  13. I do get really concerned about people posting BD pics. I worry about porn sites getting ahold of them & using them in a way that most people would not like. I don't think the pictures are porn, but they are sexy & I could still see people paying to look at them. I think it would be terrible if these pictures meant to be just for someone's future husband end up on sites for creepy guys to oogle at. Our posts do come up when you do a google search. So someone running a porn site could just search "BD pics" and get all sorts of pictures. I totally understand wanting to share the pictures. It helps other people build up the confidence to take them and it helps to get ideas for the types of pictures to take. I just want to make sure no one get exploited. I could also see a photographer being worried about their work ending up on trashy sites.
  14. I thought when you bought your negatives or a CD of your images you could do whatever you wanted with them. But, sometimes people mention getting a release from their photographers to use the images how they want. There wasn't anything about this in my contract. Has anyone else purchased a CD of images from Claudia Rodriguez? Did you get written permission to use the pictures however you want?

  16. I love the way some of the artistic effects look, but they can also make people look weird. So for this picture I selected around us & then inverted the selection to change just the background to cutout, solarize, or fresco.
  17. Great pictures! Looks like you have a really fun bunch of friends. Your wedding will be a blast.
  18. It came up for me. I typed it into the top bar on my browser not into a google search bar. I didn't use the RSVP feature. You have to give every guest an individual PIN. I love wedding announcer! Your site looks great. Don't give up!!!

Then I decided to make 3 birthday cards. The girls I made them for loved them. one girl framed hers. So sometimes it's cool to get something you don't want at first to get you thinking creatively. I think shutterfly does it to get us hooked. I'll be making those personal birthday cards for a while now!! i made a bunch of calendars one year because they were free & now my family wants one every year.

Not a dumb question. it's not that easy to find. Its small print at the bottom of your "my shutterfly" page that says "view my special offers." The link right above it is where you enter special offer codes. Be sure to let us know what you won!!! You can also tell what you won by the first 4 digits of the code. So make sure it's something you want first before entering it into your account. If you don't like it, maybe someone will swap you.
  22. I entered with my other shutterfly account and won a collage poster. I think I'll make a collage of our engagement picture to hang at the AHRs. It's an 11 x 14 collage. When you enter the sweepstakes and don't win, the next page gives you a promo code. The first 4 digits of the code can tell you what you won: EP13 cards EP14 8 by 8 photo book EP15 Calendar EP16 Collage EP17 EP18 12 5x7 photo cards If you don't like what you won, don't enter the code into your account. You can post here (not the actual code, just what you won) and see if anyone wants to swap.
