I had a too tight BM dress once. My mom used a little sewing tool & let out the seams. I think it was pretty simple. She tested a seam behind several layers of gathered fabric first. It was still a little tight. I took a coat thinking that if I couldn't handle it I'd unzip the back & put on a coat. After a while of wearing it I got used to it & didn't notice how tight it was. I was even able to dance a lot in it. I think I'm just so used to really comfortable clothes that anything restrictive bothers me when I first put it on. I'm not sure why it was so tight. I tried it on before I ordered it. I don't know if the dress that I ended up with ran small or if I gained weight without realizing it. It also had this built in bra like thing that I left unsnapped for more breathing room. I'm thinking about cutting that thing out to make more room for when I need to wear the dress again next month. I had another BM dilema. I was in a wedding in a different state & didn't get to try the dress on first. I sent in my measurements. When I got off the plane & headed right to the store I learned the dress was obscenely tight. Luckily the store had one other dress, but it was way too big for me. It fit like a bag. But, still it was better than everything squished in. In the end both my BM dilemas worked out. Don't do anything unhealthy. Just try some Spanx or letting out the seams. Good luck! OK, off to try that dress on & make sure I'll be fine!

Good site for wedding bands

Tungsten vs. tianium vs. white gold I'm now thinking about tungsten instead of titanium. On this post someone showed 4 of their rings in 4 metals. The Tungsten looks great & the rest are scratched. Originally I didn't want tungsten because it's heavy. I thought he'd be more comfortable wearing titanium daily. But, now that I know he only plans to wear it when we go out, comfort isn't as much of an issue. I guess durability shouldn't be as much either then. -

Thats great that is was comfort fit. I might order Mike's ring from here instead of overstock.com. Thanks for sharing the website! I was also thinking of ordering 2 sizes so he could wear the one that fits the best at the time. My hands get much smaller in the winter. He doesn't plan on wearing he ring daily so I don't see the point in spending a bunch of money on it. If I can find a great cheap ring, might as well save the money. Now I just need him to find out his size. -

Great prices. My only concern is there isn't a lot of information. I'd like to get him a comfort fit. It would also be nice if they posted the width. Let us know how it looks when it comes in. I have found some great deals on titanium rings, but nothing that cheap. The one I was thinking of getting is $20. They are probably the same quality as the ones for over $100 at the jewelry stores. -
bridesmaid gets pregnant - can she fly??
rodent replied to Otis1230's topic in Just venting or funnies
I'd suggest making backup plans so you don't have to stress about knowing if she will go or not. Also, that way you don't put pressure on her to decide. It's fine to have more guys than girls in the bridal party. Are you having an AHR? maybe she can be your MOH then. Possibly get some use out of the dress. I know it's stressful not knowing whats going to happen, but if you make your plans a certain way you don't have to worry too much about it. -
Why rule out mexico? I think it's a great place for family vacations. It's so beautiful & affordable. I think brazil sounds great. Other ideas are Disney World, cabin in the mountains, or a Ski lodge in colorado. I'm glad to hear your family had such a great time. I think the idea of a family vacation instead of presents is great. Most of us don't need any more stuff, but having fun together as a family would be something you'll never forget.

I do want to make something like that, but I'd like it to have the group picture in the middle. So I'll probably take a signature mat with us & put the group picture in it once we get it from our photographer. I thought about making a collage of all of our pictures from vacations, etc. but I think I'm just worn out from photo projects. I might make it some day, but not before these expire on Nov 30th. Everyone gets photo projects from me for christmas, so I've been on the computer way too much lately. I have made 8 collage calendars, 5 photobooks, 2 photomugs, and 4 collage posters, and 2 sets of collage christmas cards in the last few weeks. My eyes need a break! But, Im getting my money's worth from Lumapix. I knew when i bought that software I'd have trouble controling myself. I still have one code left if anyone wants it.

UPDATE: All codes have been given away. Be sure to post your projects!!!!! I have 3 codes for free 11x14 poster prints from shutterfly. Shipping is $3 per poster. I think it's less per poster if you order more than one. I made 2 collages of my pictures to display at our AHR. But, I still have 3 codes left and don't have any project ideas for them. You can print one big picture, make a collage using shutterfly, or upload a collage made with other software. PM me if you would like any of the codes. They expire 11/30. These are the collages I made:

I also had no manicure the day we got engaged because I thought he'd propose a month later on my birthday. My nails looked so terrible that day & I was wearing an old tank top. So I'm sure he knows I wasn't suspecting anything.

It's no longer a steal for a dress. And it doesn't look like there is any risk of it not being available later.

Did you notice shipping is $89?

PM Jason & Tricia. They both sent me great Mexico pictures when I was making my postcards.

I like these threads....I have no idea about resolution, ppi etc etc..... I love the photoshop tips, it really helps. post & let us know how it turns out. I've made 1/2 the pages for the book I'm working on. I think it will look fine. You can see some fuzziness around the edges in some pictures (look at the edge of the mountain in the picture below).

Everyone around me gets surprise photo projects as I learn new techniques.

Thanks a lot Jonathan. I think having photoshop guess the pixels will do the trick for my project. I will be doing photoshop effects like cutout & drybrush with these pictures, so the accuracy of the pixels won't be as important. These are mostly pictures of buildings and parks. My friend lived in London last year & I want to take her snapshots off facebook and put them together in a coffee table style book.

I found this online: When changing resolution, PhotoShop runs complicated algorithms on an image to decide exactly how to change it. PhotoShop does an amazing job of adding and subtracting pixels, but it isnt magic. Usually you can only move up or down in resolution by about 1/3 before the image really suffers. So it sounds like photoshop can actually take a web image and make it the resolution needed to make a decent print. These don't need to be amazing pictures. I am also changing them with the artistic effects to look like a painting, so they don't need to be perfectly sharp. I know 300 dpi is ideal, but I've made some photobooks with the pictures at 200-250 dpi & they look good. So I'm thinking I'll change my 72s dpi pictures to around 200dpi. Sounds like changing it to 300 is pushing it too far.

I didn't think you could add quality to a picture when it's not there, but when I do the steps it acts like it's fine. But then I don't want to make an entire book that will look bad. I might order a 5x7 print to see what it looks like.

I have a picture that is 72dpi, so the resolution isn’t high enough to use in a photobook I’m making. In photoshop, I can change the dpi to 150. After I do this, shutterfly says the picture is good enough to print up to 11x14. Previously it was only recommended for a wallet print. So is the picture now a higher resolution? Will it actually look nicer now that I changed it to 150 dpi? I want to take a bunch of my friends pictures off facebook & make her a photobook with them. They are only 72dpi on facebook.

Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich from Survivor & The Amazing Race had a TV show following their wedding. It was a DW in the Bahamas. I remember really liking her dress, but as much as a hunt for a picture, I can't find one. It had pieces of fabric hanging off it that blew in the wind. Did anyone else watch this show & can anyone find a picture?
