My twin sis agreed to be my MOH but now cant confirm if she is going to come or not? My mom says she needs to work out her budget( ok, i understand that, i guess). as for my Bro and older sis...I havent even heard back from them AT ALL. And i call people but now I'm starting to feel like a "door-to-door vaccuum salesman", trying to convince people it would be a great time if they came to my wedding. I shouldnt have to resort to this. I just want my someone in my family to attend..... OK, i understand how thats more stressful since it's your fmaily. We had committment from our imediate families before starting to plan that they wanted to go. They are the only people we wouldn't want to have the wedding without. Now that they are all booked, it's easy to not worry about anyone else. I had to do all the paperwork to get my family booked, but they were happy to do it. I had to call several times to encourage them & I finally just booked it & had them call my TA with their cc #. They wanted to go, they just didn't take care of the booking. But, with all other guests I'm staying uninvolved for my sanity. I do wish I knew how many OOT bags to make, etc. but I'm OK waiting to see what happens. Where does your dad like to vacation? Who doesn't like tropical?

Also, it's not always money. Some of my guests were trying to figure out if they wanted to be starting a family at that time, or if they wanted to go on a different vacation, etc. I think people should be respectful though & RSVP by the RSVP date. But, if you can make that more like 5 months in advance that might really help your guests. I think 70 people told me they were interested. 18 have booked. Before deciding to do a DW I think brides should consider if they can handle this uncertainty. Also, we need to be able to hear all the different reasons why people can't go & not take it personally. Sometiems guests are just being downright rude, selfish or inconsiderate. But, often they are not trying to be difficult & just really don't know if they will make the trip.

I've noticed my left leg was shorter than my right since high school. I think I first figured it out when I was doing deadlifts. I didn't really think it mattered until 2 months ago. We walked about 8-10 miles one day on vacation. Afterwards my right hip was in so much pain I was limping for 3 days. I think my hip had always hurt after hiking or lots of walking, but never this bad. I walk 3 miles every sunday & after each walk now I notice that my hip hurts. I'm worried about having future hip or back problems if I don't fix the problem. I tried putting a insert in my left shoe, but it didn't help. I've read it's probably because the leg is only functionally shorter. So it's more about the way my pelvis is tilted or something like that. Anyone have experience with this? Do I go to a chiropractor? Ostiopathic doctor? I'm also worried about spending a bunch of money & not feeling any better. UPDATE I learned as a Duke grad student I can get a PT evaluation at student health for free. Here is what I learned: My legs are the same length, but one appears shorter because my hips are out of alignment. From hip to ankle the length is the same, but from belly button to ankle it's different. So a lift in the shoe won't help. I need to correct the alignment. the pain in my hip is probably a bursitis (sp?). Like when you aggrivate your shoulder. I need to let it rest & ice it. I need to stengthen my hips & losen up my tight IT band (the muscle that runs from the hip to the knee.) I have had problems with a tight IT band before. The tops of my knees hurt when i did aerobics. The way my instructor told me to stretch is was wrong & I was actually making it tighter. I'm going to work on my core more. I do pilates, but I'm going to start doing some yoga too. I need to lay off the pilates moves that could aggrivate my hip for a while so I'll do more core instead. I'm going to do my exercises for my hip & stretch my IT band often. I'm also going to shift myself to stand up straight when I can think about it. Oh & no more slouching. I'm also getting good arch supports for my shoes. My arch looks high, but I feel flat footed & have to wear really comfortable shoes. She said my arch goes away when I stand. It was a lot of fun learning so much about myself in a quick appoitment. I now understand why I have certain pain & know some things I can do to prevent it. I'm going back later for my back. It seems like the hip thing is more about my back than legs.

I think most of us have gone through this. Do you need to deposits to far in advance? My FIs family was waiting because they couldn't decide what days they wanted to book. Prices went up, but they seemed fine with it. I tend to book stuff early, but i guess everyone works different. I engouraged everyone to book in october, but most waited. We are 4 1/2 months away & there are still 30 people undecided. I made sure to set things up in a way so I didn't have to worry about who comes. Now that both of our families are booked I'm not going to worry about anyone else booking. If they do, great. If not, that's fine too. call your family & see what the deley is. They might still be trying to work out vacation time, etc. Also, a lot of my guests put it off even though they meant to, but just never got around to it. I think DW planning is much easier if you don't get too involved in your guests booking.

Is June too hot for outdoor reception?
rodent replied to monicaswave's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Accommodations & Site
my wedding is late june & most of my guests are flying from houston. I figured they find the weather refreshing compaired to houston. The days are long the end of june so it will be much later until it cools off, but the breeze from the ocean does really help. Do you have a resort picked out? Maybe you can get an indoor/outdoor area. -

I had to go back though your pictures & see your nail polish. That is a pretty color. It matches your flowers too. Is your makeup bare minerals? The picture of the containers looks like bare minerals. I've heard people say it doesn't photograph well, but I thought your makeup looked perfect. I wore it in a wedding I was a BM in recently & I think it photographed fine. I really need something with SPF because I will burn.

Pete was the first in the pool he didn't wear all his clothes like everyone else b/c he didn't want to ruin his suit. Sooo after he jumps in I look over and he naked at our wedding reception! Good catch Mom. Good catch... So he took it all off at the reception? Did he take off the boxers & put on something else? Your pictures are great & the pool shots are so funny, but the story is even better. I love it!

Which is better? The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter) by Scott Kelby Or Scott Kelby's 7-Point System for Adobe Photoshop CS3 (Voices) I've been using elements for a while, but I'm upgrading to CS3 soon. I can get a great deal on it through my university. I'd like to get a good reference to get me started photoshopping like a pro (or atleast like a good amature).

I have 4 colleges too. I did two years at a community college, 2 years at university & I took one class at another community college. When I applied to grad school I spent so much on transcripts. Now I have the 4th transcript, my graduate school. Once I start job interviewing I'll have to buy them all over again. I do think I got a bulk discount though. Sometimes when I went in person they didn't charge me for them.
