My friend was married in st lucia. It was just her & her husband on that trip. I think the main thing to consider with st. lucia is the costs to guests. If you guests can afford it, then do it. I know if can be pretty expensive. Being that you are in florida though it might make flights much mroe affordable. Florida has it so great when it comes to flying! Welcome!

I found a little typo (left out the $ sign) but I just don't want to fix it. For some reason it's not that easy to fix. Oh well, they will get it. I am really ready to check this project off my list. I still need to make a meet the guests brochure, a welcome brochure, and maybe one of things to do in riviera maya. That might go along with the welcome brochure. haven't decided. But, if vista print will keep giving me free brochures, I'll keep making them. Oh, & I still have my programs to make. The projects never end. Once I think I'm done, I get inspired by something I see on the forum.

I'm getting a phd in genetics so after all this time in school I really need to do something in science But, I find I'd rather be photoshopping wedding stuff than thinking about science lately. How is your brochure coming along?

We also make welcome bags (OOT bags). But most the time people are exctied to have you organize this group vacation. I felt guilty at first, but now I've learned people are excited to make the trip. Do guests really use the fans??
rodent replied to michelle08's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Straw Fans (12 pcs) They only come as a rainbow of colors or natural Natural Straw Fans (12 pcs) The natural ones are a little more expensive. Shipping is fast. They shipped out the next day. Oriental trading also has natural ones for less than $2 each. You can probably find a free shipping code too. -

Another idea is to just order natural colored ones for everyone. They are less than $2 each. You can tie pink ribbons on them. I think guys will use them. They are usually hotter and will be wearing warmer outfits. I got a rainbow assortment for 71 cents each. I figure guys can swap if they get a pink one. -
Also the host of this forum, Tammy, specializes in Dreams resorts. She was married at Dreams Cabo. You have come to the right place for all your planning needs! Are you planning for this July? The only issue might be availability. You could probably get a weekday, but not a weekend date. There is also Dreams Tulum if you want a more secluded area. Maybe secluded isn't the right word, but there are less hotels in that area. Just search around the forum. You'll find everything you need to know.

Which dress do you like better?
rodent replied to tvt's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Oh & my vote is for #1. BTW if you want to know how I got the picture, I have a program called Gadwin Printscreen. It's a free download. I click "print screen" and it does a screen capture. -

I don't think W's hurt. Sometimes people withdraw because they realize they didn't want to take a particular class. My school does WP (withdraw passing) & WF (withdraw failing). I think W's only look bad if you have a bunch. Like you drop half your classes every semester because you couldn't keep up. I had 2 or 3 Ws on my transcript & I got a great job out of college & got accepted to Duke for grad school. The Ws never came up. I also recently withdrew from a class because I realized I didn't want to get this extra certificate. It was becoming to stressful & I didn't really need it.

Sometimes you get prints & a DVD. I think the right location for this post is "invitations, stds, photos & website." Anyway, if you get all your files on DVD you can upload them on your computer & make all the prints you want. This is what I really wanted. I like messing with digital picture, making photobooks, photoshopping, etc. So I wanted digital images that I could do all this with. I opted to get no prints & just digital images. There are companies likeMpix where you can get pro quality prints made. I got a cheap deal on 1000 snapfish prints ($12!) so I plan on printing all of mine that way. I might blow a few up for hanging with Mpix.

I'm going to work on getting it up today. It got a little complicated because I was using a mix of photoshop & powerpoint to do the background. I want to write some easy to follow steps so people can make their own background with whatever picture they want. After a lot of trial & error I figured out how to do it in photoshop.

Great I will add it. Thanks!

This is probably my most ambitious project yet. I made brochures to send to our guests who have booked their trips. I ordered 25 of them through vistaprint for $7.45 shipped. Outside http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...Picture1-1.jpg inside http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...cturepage2.jpg All the details of how I made the brochures, plus a template are here on the forum: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t14888 Update: they came in & I love how they turned out http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...res006edit.jpg http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...er/fans001.jpg I ordered 36 multi-colored fans from asianideas.com for $25.60 shipped (71cents each). I plan on attaching my program to them. I don't have official wedding colors. I just want everything to be bright and festive. I really think these fans will be great for that. Plus, they will help keep our guests cool at 4pm in June. more info here http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...501#post261149
