I decided to buy a blister pack of imodium AD & just cut it up instead of buying individually wrapped ones. I was just going to type up the safety info & stick it in the first aid kits I have. Well, last night at Target I got a bottle of Imodium instead of a blister pack. It was in a box so I didn't realize what I was getting. So I made these little envelopes to put the immodium in. I'll type up a little safety sheet later. This really is a money saver. I got 48 pills for $5 this way. The picture is in color, but I just printed it in black & white for a tester. My template is below. You can print 4 envelope pictures per sheet. Then just cut alone the lines, fold & tape. UPDATE Tricia brought up a good point. If you make these, wait until you get to your hotel to divy them up. Pills should be in their original containers when going through customs. I plan on folding the envelopes in advance so there is less to do while on vacation. This might be my weirdest lunch project yet. I'm glad my coworkers don't seem to notice what I'm doing. It's hard to see in the picture, but it says "Motezuma's Revenge Antidote." This guy Panama Jack is escaping from a huge spider. I plan on making something similar for the advil now. Any cute ideas for what to put on it? BTW, Montezuma's revenge was a video game for Sega. I photoshopped out "featuring panama jack" and added "antidote".

Other than that, its at a friends acreage. So, really, not TOO much stress. My MoH is suppling music. (her brothers in a band...) So, it actually shouldn't be too bad. Actually, we are having our Handfasting at this bbq. (I am pagan, so, i wanted to do a pagan wedding, so to speak.) Glad you are having an AHR you can get excited about. It should be fun & something to enjoy. Not a hassle & all stuffy.

You can also buy them in indivisual colored bags now. So you could have all pink, all blue, etc. What ever your colors are. -
I emailed my WC to see if I can use silk petals & if someone will clean them up. I'll let you know what I find out. If not, I'll use the silk ones to cover tables at my AHR.

I thought the author was a man. maybe that's just how I was reading it. Anyway, i feel like everytime the media talks about TTD, they don't use great examples. I think the fire picture is awesome, but the mud ones disturb me a little. You never see them show pictures of the couples rolling in the sand. I think if they showed those shots more people would understand it. Also, the one where the bride is just ripping the dress isn't that appealing to me either. I'd love to TTD, but my FI isn't into it. He doens't like having his picture taken, so I know it's not something he'd want to do the day after the wedding.

my tivo caught the rerun & I watched it this morning. kendra is like a child "lookit a dolphin, lookit a fish." Hef says something about maybe having a baby but not being ready for marriage in this episode. I really want him to marry Holly. I know it's dumb I care, but I think I'd cry watching a Hef Holly wedding episode. I can't wait to see Holly's sister's wedding on the next episode. Oh, & the girls flew huge presents with them. I think holly's sister was a little surprised they did that. How is she going to get all that back?

I bought silk rose petals off ebay yesterday to have thrown at us. I asked my WC if I could use rose petals. I should have specified they were silk. I guess I just thought someone would clean them up. I need to find out what happens because I don't want to be litering the beach. You can't fly real ones right? I found a company to get cheap real ones, but I don't think we could pack them. The ones i got aren't that real looking, but they are a mix of bright colors. I did see some really realistic looking ones on ebay.

ohh, his website does look good. I think your WC probably gave you a good recommendation.

My photograher took paypal. I was glad, because I don't know how to wire money. I also trusted them because so many people on the forum hired them. They only want a deposit until the day of the wedding, but I'll just pay it all before I leave.

i tivoed "beach weddings" on We instead. I forgot it was going to be the wedding episode of girls next door. Hopefully I catch it as a rerun. I love that show! Holly was interviewed in some magazine saying that her & hef are trying to have a baby.

My semi-DIY First Aid kits
rodent replied to StephanieMN's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I bought my first aid kits last night. It is a johnson & johnson kit from the travel bins at target. They were 99cents. They are in a similar white box with bandaids, cleaning pads & a gauze. I added some q-tips, SPF chapstick (30 for $7 on ebay!), immodium & advil. I bought a 48 pack of immodium for $6. Unfortunately it wasn't the kind in a blister pack. It was just a bottle with lose pills. So now I'm going to make little cardboard envelopes that say something like "Montezuma's revenge antidote." Then I'll print off the safety instructions to put inside. I'll probably do the advil the same way. UPDATE: Here are my imodium envelopes with a template if you want them http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t15384 I will divy them up when I get to the hotel to avoid any problems with customs. -
Why if you were told to wear what ever you wanted as a bridemaid would you show up in "a vintage prom dress and plastic Rugrats watch from Burger King, a sundress and Army boots or a dramatic red-carpet stunner." Wouldn't you just wear a cute dress you already owned? He thinks that's normal, but trashing the dress isn't? It is obvious he doesn't get it. I think it all comes down to pictures being worth more than a dress you will never wear again & just store in a closet. I mean closet space is prime real estate and pictures are something to treasure.

Otherwise, are you having a party back home after you get married? We are having a "we got hitched" party the following summer. (There is where I will get stressed! lol) Anyways, guests could bring gifts to that. I will need to do this ALL over again once I have that summer party. Have to make invites, decorations, food, music, etc! Eeeks!! I figure if people want to give us stuff, they can mail it to our house. I'm not encouraging gifts. I did register though. We live in a small apartment & plan on moving out of state in about 3 years. I don't need more stuff. I've noticed that at most weddings that are even local, most gifts are mailed to the house. My friend had a huge wedding recently & only received about 10 gifts at the wedding. The rest were mailed. We live in North Carolina & our family is in Texas. We were going to have an AHR in Texas in August & I figured we get some gifts there. There would still be the problem of flying them home. No customs, but still a lot to carry. My brother is now getting married in August so we canceled the AHR. I was relieved!!! I only did it because I thought we had to. Now I know we don't have to do anything we don't want. People aren't upset with us for having a DW & don't have any expectations for an AHR. We are having an AHR in north carolina where we live. That will just be friends & just drinks/snacks, so no stress to plan. I'm getting a keg, making margaritas & buying discounted cinco de mayo decorations. It's just going to be a party, not really a reception. I wouldn't want to have a full blown reception. Just too much to plan and too expensive. Search around the AHR section of the forum. You might get some ideas that don't stress you out. It can be whatever you want it to be- a backyard BBQ, day at the park, or anything you want.

Just use a printer setting that prints on both side on cardstock or heavier paper. I will definitly post them. I pretty much don't do anything nowadays without running it by the forum I ordered them through vistaprint (www.vistaprint/minicatalog). I think they are cheaper than ink most times with the specials. And the quality is better than what my printer would do. They were 30 cents each shipped. I think a printer is roughly 13 cents per side for b&w text. good tip about customs. Do you know the rules? I might put that in my welcome letter. My pre-wedding letters are off to the printers
