Pucker up wins! A friend just called & I let her vote too. She said pucker up was her favorite. I will have to cut the lable, so I don't think much more will fit. The person I bought the chapstick from doesn't have anymore. But, there are probably still good deals to be found on ebay. I totally don't mind sharing the lables. What's a girl to do with 140 lables that say "Pucker up"? I bought 30 lip balms. As of right now I have 20 guests. So I'll probably just have one per bag. If they aren't a couple I'll throw in two. I have 35 lables left if someone wants to claim them. When they come in, I'll PM everyone who has requested some & get their address. BTW if my math seems funny, 5 of the lables are not useable from vistaprint. I don't know if you get 135 or 140 good ones per order. They print some stuff over 5 of them.

The lip balm I ordered off ebay for my OOT bags just came in (30 with SPF 15 for $7.57!) They have a blue cross blue shield label on them. It's kind of funny because I do the blue points thing where you get free stuff for working out. So I have all sorts of junk with that symbol on it. They really look fine, but I'm DIY & Vista print obsessed so I thought I'd just make a little label. I can get 135 for $3 shipped so I might as well. I only need 30, so I can mail the others to people who want to label their lip balm. So what should it say? Here are my two ideas so far Here is a link to where you can download the picture. pucker up.JPG Then upload it to vistaprint. http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/free.aspx go through this link for free address labels. I usually do my uploads through this link www.vistaprint.com/minicatalog & they always end up free. 140 labels should be less than $4 shipped. If you ever need a good vistaprint deal just google "vistaprint coupons" or "free vistaprint _____" UPDATE Pucker up is the winner. Here is the finished label. I darkend the outline a little to make it stand out more. It's off centered like that because the end will need to be trimmed to make it fit a standard tube of lip balm. I'll order these once I have something else to request from vistaprint so I can combine shipping. I'm sure it won't be long

I know the rules around here I had a book when I was younger that showed arrows so you knew what direction to start in. I'm just looking at this website copying the look of each letter. I know it's nothing close to pro calligraphy, but it's better than my chicken scratch.

I'm glad I picked it back up again. I left a job because I was moving and my boss said "well miss you, morgan, but we won't miss your handwritting." We had appointment books that everyone wrote in. The funniest thing was a year later I went back to work there during the summer & there was a girl with handwritting just like mine. It was creepy how similar it was. Here is one a scraweled out real fast to share. I don't want to put up an actual address so I made this one on an envelope that was messed up. The big pile are the ones a friend did last night. It took me a couple tries to get that D right. Normally I practice a letter like that before I write on the envelope. Don't worry I'm not scratching out on the real ones. I'm not that tacky.

2 of my friends offered to calligraphy mine. I bought a 2.0 marker so I could give it a shot too. I'm home sick today & I'm having so much fun with this. I am just looking at the examples on this website & copying them. First Impressions Calligraphy - Hand Calligraphy I have terrible handwritting, but my calligraphy is looking pretty. It's fun too. I suggest getting a calligraphy pen even if you don't do the calligraphy. It will make your regualr handwritting better like tami mentioned. My pen was only $2.50. its actually a marker. There is a 2.0 pen on one side & a 5.0 on the other. The smaller one is definitly easier. I feel kind of bad because one of my friends was going to come over this weekend & do her half of them. I don't think there will be any left by then. I'm having such a good time doing this.

I rubbed it with a white towl & some color came off. The fan looks fine, but it could mess up clothes. Then I set it on the towel & it didn't come off so it should be fine if people just set it in their lab. I pressed really hard & it was still fine. I also got it wet incase people are sweaty. It comes off easier when it's wet. Then I got my hand wet & held the fan. Nothing came off on my hand. So I would be a little concerned about the colored fans. I feel like with normal use they should be fine. The most I could see people doing is setting them in their lab. I think I'll spread the word to guests to warn them to be careful with them. -

I will be attaching a program to them later so it's sort of a DIY project. -

It will just have white tulle on the chairs because that's what they do standard. So this is a great way to add some color. I love bright colors. I registered for fiestaware. This is so my style! Another thing some people do is to add a colored ribbon the the handle of the natural colored ones to add some color. -
My fans came in today! Straw Fans (12 pcs) I love them. It's kind of odd, but they have tags on them saying they are distributed by oriental trading. I couldn't find any mulit-colored ones the oriental trading website. I am very happy with them, but the quality on all of them isn't perfect. I just thought I'd point this out incase someone is looking for perfect quality. Some are perfect, but a few have flaws. I took a pictureof a bent one & one with a piece out of place. The natural color is exposed on some of them under the weave. Anyway, I'm completely happy with the quality, I just thought I'd point out that they are not perfect incase someone is looking for pristine quality. I plan on trimming up some pieces to make them a little cleaner. They are very light weight which is great for packing. Prices: 1 dozen Subtotal: $5.95 Shipping: $6.75 Tax: $0.00 Total: $12.70 3 dozen Subtotal: $17.85 Shipping: $7.75 Tax: $0.00 Total: $25.60 Shipping is FAST! I ordered them on a Friday & they came in on a Tuesday. It's so much fun getting wedding packages I want to dive into the pile of color! some defects for those interested in quality WARNING the color can come off onto clothes: Originally Posted by becks "The fans are great! My fans are coming today!!! They tried to deliver them yesterday, but we were not here. It always takes an extra day to get something because I have to sign for them to leave it on the patio. I can't wait to see them! They shipped out fast! I think I ordered them last Friday. I'll post pictures. -
Parody Motivator Generator Here is a DIY demotivator generator. You can put in your own picture & pick the words. You can then right-click & save it to print out. We had a blast a few years ago making these for everyone I work with. My favorite was a picture of my Texas Kleenex box. It said "Pride- sometimes you can have too much." Everyone teases me because I'm from Texas & I said it's a pretty shape. Here is an example of one to show you what I'm talking about: There is also a candy heart generator Candy Heart Generator I made this one I wanted to make a demotivator about the forum, but couldn't come up with anything. Here is a screen shot to use for the picture if anyone has something funny in mind.

Below are his suggestions. ____________________________________________ I can give my opinion from things I've seen in the past. Chiropractors deal with this ALL the time. We handle both the structural short leg (where one leg is actually shorter than the other) and a functional short leg (where they appear to be shorter due to something else going on). I agree that there is a lot going on muscularly (if that's even a word) and doing the exercises and getting things stretched out and worked on will help a ton. There is also usually something going on with the joints in your pelvis and back. These joints can become fixated, and not move the way that they are supposed to. This can actually cause the muscular tightness AND the functional short leg. A chiropractor can adjust these joints to restore the proper function/motion and also help with the muscular imbalance. One other thing that I would recommend would be to get a scoliosis check. Sometimes a functional short leg can be a compensating factor for something like scoliosis or possibly a transitional segment. A transitional segment can form in your low back generally with the 5th (or last) lumbar vertebra. As the vertebra forms it can connect with the sacrum in a way that it isn't supposed to and throw the whole pelvis/low back off. Scoliosis can also start to form as a compensation from another problem that you have going on, so it can even start later in life. A current check might be a good idea. I hope some of that helped, and if you have ANY questions about anything down the road, feel free to ask! __________________________________________________ Thanks for the info. It's definitly a functional problem. I was also checked for scoliosis & that's not the problem. I'll see how the exercises go & let y'all know. If it doesn't improve from doing that I'll see about getting an adjustment. Thanks!

Her Mom used to buy two pairs, one to fiize ... but Mom just makes sure she either buys lace-up tennis shoes or sling backs where she can adjust the fit. My SIL must have hip alignment issues, or truly different length legs b/c she walks a little odd, as if there is a leg height difference ... but now I wonder as well if it's an alignment issue... It's usually an alignment issue. Do the measurement thing my PT did to figure out which one it is. She had me hold the tape measure & made marks on me with a pen to keep it as accurate as possible. My right foot is a half size smaller so it gets blisters easier from the shoe being too big. It's not enough to make it worth buying two pairs of shoes. Sometimes I put thick ds tape in the back to keep my right shoe on tight. I have joked about starting a website called solemates.com. It's like match.com but for people to swap shoes. We would match you up with your solemate based on a bunch of questions. Shoesize being the most important. So I'd need someone with a size 8 1/2 left & 9 right. Other things that matter will be style of shoes you like, how much you spend on your shoes, how often you buy new ones, etc. Then everytime you buy shoes, you get 2 pairs & send 1 pair to your solemate.

Invites - Inspiration (aka I'm to cheap to buy the real ones!)
rodent replied to amyh's topic in Blog Archive
Your inspiration pictures are so cool. I can't wait to see how it all comes together. I'm so happy I did my invites myself. It made them so special to me. It's fun to get crafty sometimes -
A friend calligraphied 1/2 my invites last night. It's hard to show them, because I avoid posting addresses so this is the best I could do. I kept it really casual with just one envelope & first names. I got a calligraphy marker for $2.50 & realized it's not that hard to do some simple calligraphy. http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...thnamesrem.jpg Here are my first aid kits. Details are here http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...671#post264879 http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...istAidkits.jpg I thought I'd just add what all I am putting in our OOT bags First aid kits cup with guests names painted on them small combo master lock for luggage with safety tips 3 riviera maya postcards OK magazines (from my subscription) left to buy/make water & snacks we buy when we get there spanish to english phrases tote bags photo share card welcome letter things to do in RM brochure I just did an estimate of what I've spent per pag. This is assuming I'll make 16. I still don't really know who many guests well have. I'm doing 1 bag per room. total per bag OOT bag 3 postcards per person 10 .63 (with 52 leftover) OOT bag cups 3.2 .25 OOT bag first aid kits (14) 15 1 OOT bag 96 immodium 10 .63 OOT bags advil 5 .31 OOT bag SPF chapstick (30) (ebay) 7.57 .47 (with 14 leftover- will probably give 2 per person) OOT bag misc printing 20 1.25 OOT bag totes 16 1 OOT bags master locks (16) 36 2.25 magazines 0 I'm at about $8 per bag ($128 ) & I still need to buy snacks to add to it. Crazy how fast it adds up. The locks were the most expensive, but I really like them. I can program the combo to be anything. I really wanted to do what I could to keep our guests stuff safe.
