Ring Photo Shoot, IDEAS WANTED!!!

These pictures are all so amazing. If anyone posted some that they wouldn't mind sending me to use for projects, I'd really love that! PM me. I'd need them to be high resolution (not snagged off a website). I would just be using them for various wedding projects. Finding good, free beach stock photos isn't easy.

Morningstar farms has a black bean burger that isn't like fake meat, so my vegiterian friends will eat it. They are so good, but I can't eat them. Soy makes me feel so sick. I had to give all mine away. You don't have to be a vegeterian to like meatless dishes. I'm not. It's just easier, faster, cheaper & often healthier to cook without meat. So this thread is for everyone, Herbivores & Carnivores. -

We started talking about cutting back on meat consumption. But, before doing this you really need plenty of healthy, filling recipes. When I was a vegetarian in high school that just meant I ate chips and iceburg lettuce. Here are three of my favorites: bean burritos- fat free canned refried beans (which was ranked as one of the healthiest foods in en's health), mexican cheese wrapped in a tortilla. I wrap it up in foil in the morning & microwave it for 30 seconds at lunch. hummus wraps- Hummus is really cheap & easy to make. I wrap it in a tortilla (can you tell this texas girl loves tortillas) and add lettuce, italian dressing, & whatever else I feel like. Very good & filling. I'll add my hummus recipe later. Here is a bean dip recipe. ½ chopped red bell pepper ½ chopped green bell pepper (I tend to just put in a whole green one to save $) ½ cup chopped red onion 1/3 cup fresh cilantro 1/3 cup lime juice (about 2 limes) 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon ground cumin ½ teaspoon chili powder 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 can diced tomatoes, drained 1 can sweet whole kernel corn, drained 1. Combine all ingredients in large bowl, stirring well. Serve with tortilla chips or wrap in a tortilla (again with the tortillas!).

Also, the ground sirloin from whole foods is so good I can't stand regular ground beef now. Its totally worth the extra money. I think it's like $6 a pound so its really not bad. besides, you save a lot on your grocery bill by not eating lots of meat. I bought some hormone free chicken from trader joes the other day. I haven't tried it yet. I also plan on switching to milk from a local dairy farm that has good practices.

I'm not a animal activists or anythig but WTF man! I know not all slaughter houses are cruel to the animals but just seeing that one video made my stomach turn. And to STILL be thinking about it 2 days later, um YEAH I must be insane. Any therapists on line? (Kidding.) I stopped eating meat from the age of 10-15. It was really hard. There were so many times I had to eat some pathetic meal because the only food available was meat. I finally caved at 15 after a swim meet. I was so hungry & my coach bought us all chicken sandwiches. It was either that or be hungry. I do find my life a lot easier now that I'll eat meat occasionally. I can have a cheesburger at BBQs or when we are camping. it's also easier because I know filling, healthy non meat meals now. Mori Lee Bridesmaid dresses?

Love that dress! I ordered a BM dress online recently. They didn't have this dress anywhere near me. So I looked up the designer's size chart. Then i went & got measured. They told me I'd be an 8. I tried on all the 8s in the store by the same designer & they all fit. So hopefully my dress fits. it comes in in april. Shop around & you might find that dress for less. I'll go find the link to where I got mine. It was $100 less than the bridal salon. -

There are healthy ways to be a vegeterian. Beans, nuts, soy, etc are good sources of protein. But, I can not eat soy. It makes me feel so sick. You can always just cut down on your meat consumption (which is a healthy thing to do-most people eat too much meat). And then try to buy the right kind of meat. I believe that there is meat where the animals are treated ethically. Sorry, I don't know more about this. I don't buy much meat. Usually my only meat comes from going out to eat chicken fajitas. Even then I mostly eat beans & veggies. You can get free range eggs, etc.

OK, I found the link Monterey Bay Aquarium: Seafood Watch Program - A Consumer's Guide to Sustainable Seafood

I agree. The animals should not be mistreated. My family raises cows that do eventually get slaughtered. I don't know what happens when they go to the slaughter house, but I know that on our ranch they are treated very good. I raised pigs when I was a kid & they were always treated with respect, too. I eat very little meat- maybe 2-3 times a month. I believe at whole foods they have meat from animals that were free-range, given no hormones, etc. With seafood you have to consider the type of fish. Certain types of fish are overfished. I'm not sure how to explain this (I've never liked seafood) but there is a good brochure on this forum. Like, I can't really put together OOT bags yet because I don't know how much of everything I will need (although that hasn't stopped me from buying the Spanish for Dummies books from Target or ordering the individual, personalized packets of Margarita Mix...I"m just buying this stuff guessing about 30 ppl. but who knows.... I just feel like I can't do too much yet because I don't know how many people will be coming...Anyone else have this problem? I'm in the same place too. I have 20 guests booked, but many more who plan on it. So I'm just estimating 16 bags. That is probably an over estimate for who will end up making it. But, most the stuff I've bought so far is pretty cheap. Also, stuff like the borchures comes in a pack of 25 so I would be getting 25 regardless of how many people had booked. I was planning one bag per room (so my two aunts would share a bag). If I have over estimated they will get their own bag. So I think you can take a guess & start planning now. Making stuff in advance is much more fun than rushing at the end.

I was really impressed that I saw changes. I have pretty muscular legs, but I noticed more definition after starting the dvds. There was a new line on my quads. I think it was from the wall squats where you alternate holding one leg up for 10 seconds.

I love this thread. The pictures are unreal. I want to go to all these places! I was amazed by "Omaha beach" in normandy france. It is a combination of beautiful beach, beautiful landscape & history in one. This picture is pointe du hoc that soilders climbed up on D-day. I thought we would just be seeing a battlefield. I wasn't prepared for the beauty of the landscape.

Cute idea. My friends & I had a impromtu ring photo shoot while we were BMs. The bride & groom were taking a bunch of pictures & we were just sitting in the pews. So we posed our rings on our bouquets. It was fun. The inside of the church really made them sparkle too. Just be sure to use the macro setting for a good picture. I bet the photographers have more tips on how to capture a good ring picture. I'll see if I can think of anything creative. Where/how did you get engaged? maybe something that tells that story. -

This makes me so upset I feel sick. But reading about those bikers made me feel a lot better. For all the messed up, horrible people out there, there are some really awesome people.
