  1. Wouldn't any band cover up that side stone? Is it possible for something to not cover it?
  2. I think the colors are pretty vibrant as it is. It's a little hard to explain what I'd do to brighten it. I'll PM you my email. If you get the picture to me by 12 EST I'll work on it during lunch (I like to photoshop during lunch). Which vista print size are you using? Flat invite? POstcard? I'll show you how to put on the guidelings. I would overlay it & make the top image a little transperant. Photoshop isn't the simplist but it's such a great program once you've spent some time with it.

Should I hire you to replicate my monogram in higher resolution (and maybe do it more perfectly)? I can convert it to a photoshop image once you send it to me. I don't know this for sure, but I really think publisher images would be high res. The program is designed for printing things. Powerpoint just lets you get up to 150dpi. It's really not bad though. I've used my powerpoint logo on lots of things (STDs, brochures) and couldn't tell a difference. But, I didn't print it huge. I think a way to get around this is to make it 2x size in powerpoint. I'm still learning all this resolution stuff. 300 dpi in the size you are printing is ideal. Say you want a 4x6 image. You either need something that is 4x6 at 300dpi, or something that is 8x12 at 150 dpi.

  6. I'm just wearing my e-ring. I don't plan on getting a band.

If it's 300dpi in the size you plan on printing it, it's high res enough. or you can PM me & I'll give you my email. Then send it to me & I'll tell you the resolution.

  10. Like Calia said, those are just the ones she got on a disk to make copies for her family. The family shots are usually not the most creative of the shots. She was able to get pictures that she loves & has already framed & hung up. The best part is she kept it in her budget. We'd all love the best wedding photographer ever, but it's more important not to rack up a bunch of debt trying to get it. I understand photos are really important, but so are budgets. I think the policy at the Riu about not allowing outside phtographers is terrible. But, Michael is not likely to blame. I feel bad for the guy. He's probably just trying to make & living & has to take a certain number of weddings to do so. I doubt he sees all of that $200. You know the Rui gets their cut. They are the ones that set up the stupid policy in the first place. I'd be complaining to corporate.

Coke, Band-Aid, Fridge, etc. Let me know if you're going to turn me in! I'll either get to frame the fancy memo telling me to stop using Kleenex with out whispering TM or I'll have to move to Brazil where there is no extradition! LOL A company has to show they protected their copywrite in order to enforce it. I think kleenx still retains the copywrite. Say if Target made "target kleenexes" they would definitly get sued. But, it kleenex kept letting it happen, they would lose their copywrite. Why do I know so much about this I heard some thing on the radio about a Koozie lawsuit. They were saying that the company that has the copywrite on that word has let it become generic by not enforcing the copywrite. Jean-marcus, look what you did! I just spend several minutes typing about kleenexes

  14. There is also the one where you make handprints in the sand & put the rings on the hands.
  15. I think it helps if you convert the color from RGB to CMYK. I probably woulnd't have them reprint them. I'd hate to use up all that paper again. I tend to try to minimize how much paper I use. But, I understand when you've worked so hard on this you want it right. I didn't care much about my invites. But, once I got going on them I became a little OCD. I had a scrap of cardstock I carried around to several office stores looking for matching envelopes. I finally found a color that matched. I looked up the color name online & found envelopes. I should have just bought my cardstock at the same time as my envelopes. After all this drama, mike saw the color and told me he has tons of stuff in that color at work & knew where I could have found it.

You might want to give it another shot. My TA beats expedia everytime. Maybe the canadian ladies can chime in if they had different experiences. There are so many perks to a TA. And if you get a cheaper rate too, it's even better. I posted on my website that I didn't suggest using expedia, etc. Several friends still searched these trying to find a better deal. They couldn't. Planning a DW has sold me on TAs. A good one can save you money, get you upgrades, give your guests someone to ask questions, take a load off you, allow just deposits to be made, refund if prices drop, etc. There are 3 TAs on the forum. maybe they can help you out.
  17. I'd probably just invite her & hope she doesn't make it. Sounds like she probably won't.

I didn't set an RSVP date. I don't know how many are coming either. I'm just making 16 bags & I might have leftovers. I'm holding off on buying some stuff until later. Some non-couples sharing a room will get one bag or two depending on how many people book.

I'm assuming this slaughterhouse must produce ground beef only- not that it makes their treatment any better, but I can't imagine that they would have good meat from abusing their animals like that. I hope they get shut down. I don't know if this is available where you are, but maybe you could contact a local rancher to see if they sell their beef. Typically it's a lot healthier than the meat you get in the stores. Plus I'm sure they make sure their cows are treated properly because their lively hood depends on it. I've heard of people doing co-ops with local farmers. I think it exists with ranchers. I believe you buy a 1/2 cow or a whole cow. You get a bunch of meat at once. So you'd need a big freezer. My grandpa raised cows too! They were treated really good. When we were kids he'd tell us he needed our help counting the cows. He didn't need help, he just wanted to get us involved. He'd drive into the pasture in his truck & honk his horn. The cows knew this meant time for food & they'd come running. Then we'd throw food out of the back of the truck as he drove. Once they started to eat, we'd count them. I also named all the calves after my friends. A good rancher loves animals. These slaughterhouse people sound terrible.
  20. Do you have a TA? usually they keep an eye on this for you. I don't know of any that do this with package deals, but it would be good to know.
