  1. You can get those cheap trick or treat plastic bags. Oriental trading is a great place to get a bunch of stuff that is cheap. You also only need to do one bag per room/ couple. So 75 guests is more like 38 bags.
  2. Cute labels! I like the bright lids too. I didn't know how to make anything until I started planning this wedding. Now I'm a DIY addict.
  3. The short version: My guests have to pay their trip in full by March 19th, or they will owe an extra $21 for an increased fuel surcharge. Not a big deal. Payments were due by April 30th anyway. Longer version: Fuel costs have gone up dramatically over the past few weeks and are projected to continue to increase. Funjet Vacations is now compelled to pass on this additional cost. Effective today, for all new bookings the fuel surcharge for most Charter and Value Flights has increased by $21 per person. Existing bookings that are paid in full or that have the Penalty Waiver or Complete Coverage options will not be impacted. Customers with existing individual or group bookings that do not meet those criteria can avoid this increase by providing full payment for their reservation by March 19, 2008. Reservations not paid in full by that date will receive the fuel surcharge increase. Charter and Value Flight airlines affected by this increase include American Trans Air, AeroMexico, Champion, Frontier Airlines, Midwest Airlines, Ryan International Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and USA3000.

His graduation with both of them there was crazy, and that wasn't for a week! Had it not been for them, I would have said "why not have a reception, or at least a 'free' plan for everyone to hang out the entire evening?" I never would have given it a second thought. Now, however, I realize that that would be a very uncomfortable situation, especially since we have less than 20 guests. I think we may still go ahead and have a short dessert reception after dinner, but I fully expect at least one of them to skip out pretty quickly. What she decides to do at that point is up to her, and the rest of us can hang out and have fun without them. Oh, and we're not doing a wedding cake and we're bringing our own music, so it's still going to be a pretty cheap option. If you are worried, it's good to know that parents are usually on their best behavior at weddings. I've been in some family situations that I thought were not going to go well, but the divorced parents & new spouses tend to be as friendly to each other as they can be. My mom & dad can get along. I just think it could still be hard for them. More for my dad, because he won't be bringing anyone. For all the graduations we usually kept things mostly segregated. We all went to dinner each time, but that's about it.

I told kristie, just no girl on girl action (although that's probably what our husbands will be hoping for). She had something totally different in mind anyway.
  6. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16930 I'm working with Kristie, too! I can't wait. I'll be happy to look half as hot as you Sarah.

There is so much passion between you & your FI that will really show in your pictures. You better post them!

That is so great!! Oh & your wedding is coming up soon. Even better. She is so sweet. We talked for hours last night. And her pictures are so great. She really captures the emotions. Have you checked out SarahA's BD pics? They are so beautiful & creative. I can't wait to see what she'll do with your pictures (& mine)!

You know I'll be uploading pics ASAP. We'll be on the beach. I was picturing something like what you described jean-marcus. Two girls holding hands like we are on a playground kind of like ring around the rosey. A really sweet, little girl kind of thing. Oh, I should bring some flowers or petals.
  10. I am so excited that I will be trashing the dress. I love everyone's TTD pictures, but Mike is completely not interested in doing it. I think if I really tried to talk him into it, he'd do it but I don't want to get him to do too much he's not interested in. He has been really great about going along with me on most things. I've been working with Kristie lately (of http://www.photographybykristie.com) swapping our skills. She hired me to do some graphic design. I've already learned a lot from her to improve my eye for details & quality. It's been great for both of us. Here is the collage I made for her siggy pic & website/ blog. OK, back to the topic. I loved SaraA's BD pics ( http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16148 ) so much that I'm going to get my own photo's by Kristie! But, since Mike won't go with me, I'm taking a friend. So it will be a dual bride TTD. This friend & I actually share a wedding date, but her's is 5 years prior to mine. It will be a blast to TTD together. We'll be driving to Myrtle beach in September while Kristie is there shooting a wedding. I will definitly be posting pictures. So here is where you get to give your input (because you girls are all so creative). Do you have any fun ideas for a two bride TTD? Kristie has mentioned us jumping off a pier together. We'll definitly do that one. I can't wait to strut my stuff during a TTD. My TTD buddy, Heather, & I watch a lot of America's next top model so we are ready to be fierce!

  13. After reading this thread http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16904 I realized what went so wrong with my post. I'm worried I came off like I was critising people who go into debt for a wedding or people who spend a lot of money on a wedding. That was not what I was trying to say. I totally respect that we all have different tolerance levels for debt & mine happens to be zero. But, I don't expect others to feel the same as me. Our life experiences shape our feelings about money, so I know not everyone will feel like I do. It's cool though. A bunch of penny pinching misers like me couldn't keep the economy going. I also don't think it's wrong to spend a lot on a wedding if that what the person wants. I just wouldn't want us to encourage someone who doesn't want to spend a lot on their wedding to do so out of pressure. The point I was trying to make was that if someone isn't comfortable with spending enough to do something for their wedding that is usually considered standard, I think we should support them. We can offer up ideas if we have them for how to cover what's needed without blowing the budget. Again, I'm sorry if I seemed rude. I didn't give my email the typical edit of "could this be taking the wrong way" I normally do because I got busy with work. I have complete respect for all types of wedding. Huge elaborate affairs and simple ones. As long as your heart is in the right place I don't think you can go wrong with how you plan your wedding. Thanks everyone for letting me know I came off offensive so I could correct my statement.
  14. I read about it in money magazine. I was so excited to check it out, but was dissapointed. The fees to get a price change are so high I could never see a time it's worth it. They are like $100-$150. Some airlines don't have big fees so it's worth checking it out. They just weren't airlines I ever fly.

BUT the pic is now all blurry and pixelated! Not cool! I'm a creature of habit, and over the last 6 months I've gotten to be very friendly with photobucket and how it works, so altho the edit section was a nice idea, for some reason it's just not doin' it for me. If anyone has used this function and had it turn out OK, let me know what I'm doing wrong, or what I can do to NOT have to use the new edit function instead of just plain resizing the pic. did it just change? i used it early this morning & it was the same.

Or put one of those "some assembly required" stickers on it.

The way she has it stuffed right now I think doesn't have alot in it...she stuffed the bottom w/ stuffing to make the items stick out... It does look like a designer made it. You should see how I wrap presents. Mine are always the last picked when you play that present swap game. But the stuff inside is always cool. I know I'll be assembling them in mexico so ploping a bunch of stuff in a bag is as much as I'll do. If I had a designer sister though I'd definitly let her make my presentation beautiful. They really do look great.

  21. Go to dafont.com & download some wingdings. There are great beach images & they are free. They work just like wingdings in MS word. You type a letter & it inserts a picture.

Actually not really that good at all unless it's just the right picture.
