  1. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to eventually make it through all of the videos. Your videographer did such a great job. I love how you grabbed Brett's hands at the start of the ceremony & then it was replayed from another angle. Too cute! I am constantly back & forth about getting a video. It would be $600. I'm starting to lean towards getting the video. What's the worst that happens? I spend $600 I wish I hadn't? But on the other side I could look back & be so glad I did it. I feel like there is more to gain than there is to lose. If I'm watching this video when I'm 80 years old I'll laugh thinking about how torn I was about getting one made. Thanks for sharing. I think you video has finally pushed me to getting a video.

I think I might input this info somewhere in the brochure (yes..the one you made the template for!) that I'm sending out before we leave..... So much information though that I want to send to them...Maybe I need a booklet!! I put a really simple explanation in my brochure. Then I'm going to print this off & mail it to guests. Or I might just convert it to a pdf & email it to them. Haven't decided. My brochure was already stuffed with text. Glad people are finding it useful. I might see if I should make it sticky. It would be my first sticky post
  3. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t758 Have you seen this one?
  4. My guests are paying $269 per person for 3 nights based on double occupancy. I tried to keep the hotel cheap because I was worried about flight prices going up a bunch. They sure have I booked through a TA doing a funjet deal. I find funjet.com a great way just to compare prices. $200 per night sounds high. But, some hotels are more expensive.

She said to just get as much information as possible, send it in, and if it still comes back rejected, to call the office again, so that' a huge relief. My mom has contacted the school she might have gone to (grandma is not exactly sure where she went to school.. she only went to 8th grade), and she is getting the sealed baptismal certificate, and this weekend, she is getting her older sister to fill out the affidavit. It sounds like everything will work out! I'll post when the passport is finally in hand! with an older living relative you can totally get this straightend out. That was a problem with my grandma's case. She's the oldest. Sounds like you have everything you need to get it done & a state rep to help you. Your grandma will definitly get that passport!

  7. Back of ladies, it's mine. I'm placing a bid & you better not try to outbid me. What makes me laugh is this: I BOUGHT THIS LOT A YEAR AGO, AND I NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO USE ANY OF THE STUFF. (BEEN SINGLE FOR A WHILE) ANYWAYS, MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN. So a year ago she went out & bought a whole assortment of condoms? Then remained single? I could see buying a 3 pack at the chance that something is going to work out. But, an entire assortment. And why sell the vibrator? That's a single girl's best friend.

My dad hasn't flown in 30 years so I think this will make him feel more comfortable. When I was in Cancun I remember it being really easy to find our way around the airport. But, I think it's nice to have a guide just to relax our guests that it won't be hard. Flying can be stressful.

I love the red lighting when they are standing by the roots. The bat was too cool.
  10. I think it's really going to be about how unique this will be. You can get a ceremony at the AIs for cheap. Mine is less than $400 for all that. Will this be in mexico? If it was in the US I could see it being higher. A big appeal to Mexico to me was how much they take care of for you for such little money. If she plans some really unique events I could see people paying more. But, if it's similar to what the resorts offer, I think there is just too much competition.

Can't wait! Just have to figure out how to print on the back of the postcards! Wow, it was weird seeing this thread again. It feels like that was so long ago! A lot of us make postcards from vistaprint (100 for $5). I got a high res riviera maya picture & made my own postcard. To print on the back, I designed that entire back image & uploaded it as a picture. Search Vistaprint postcard & you'll see tons of info. go through links like this for coupons www.vistaprint.com/minicatalog Do do existing pictures youd need a printer that can handle that kind of paper. what about a photo printer? don't they feed straight through? another option would be to print on a label & stick it on.

I actually hav my degree in fashion design & merchandising, but do absolutely nothing with it. I think microbiology is so fun! I loved micro lab too. I don't get to do a lot of that stuff anymore. I never stain anything & my lab doesn't even have a microscope. But, the stuff I do is really fun (when it works). What do you plan on doing in Biology?

I'm trying to collect some photos whenever I come across something I like. I'm also doing BD pics in May and trying to come up with those ideas too. I really wish I could Jean-Marcus do those too, but with him in Seattle and me in KY, it makes it kinda hard! Aren't you super excited to do all of this...I know I can't wait! that is so cool how that worked out! What a great idea to share jean-marcus. We know he is man enough for both of you.
  16. Mine's in powerpoint. I think stormstrong posted hers as a .jpg. Her label is really cute. I think she posted it in my thread towards the end. I don't do tamplates in MS word. Sorry! I find it akward because I never use it for picture stuff.
  17. ok I have a few more silly ones. Thanks so much for helping me make my translation list fun. Is there a Microbiologist in the house? Are Tapirs indigenous to Riviera Maya? Tapirs are an animal. It doesn't need to be translated. Indigenous = Native

I'm so excited for you (and me since you will be the first here to use the same resort as we are so I can't wait to get the details). I do think it will be fun this way. If I drug mike along I'd know he'd be plesent, but not happy. Heather will be excited like me so we can feed off each other's excitement. I'll save talking mike into something for things I really need him to do. I'm excited about my day coming up so fast too! I can't wait to give you all the details!

Do you two know each other outside of the forum, or will you be meeting for the first time at the TTD? I love this forum! It's so great for all of our creativity. I would never have dreamed about jumping in the water in my dress, if I hadn't seen all the pictures on the forum.
  21. The Seattle area group is so much fun! I wish NC was closer. I know you meet up will be a blast.
  22. Check out my first post for the first draft of the airport guide. If you see any mistakes, let me know. I had trouble attaching the powerpoint, so I'm uploading it to media fire. You can download it without using 50 of your precious points!
