When I first told FI about palladium he said that he didn't want it because he thought it was a mix of platinum and aluminum. How funny is that!! After the lady explained the difference and he knew that it was a pure metal then he thought it was crazy to pay 3 times that for platinum. He probably wishes that he would have known that before he shelled out the money for the platinum e-ring. Palladium just doesn't have the popularity factor YET!!! I would have gotten palladium if it was available for my setting. I like the lightness of white gold. Platinum makes for better prongs though. A great right is white gold with platinum prongs. But, palladium has that beat & for less money. White gold is a great metal as long as you keep it rhodium dipped every year or two.

If you look at how much the value of these metals has increased over time, it's a really poor investment. You'd be better off with a CD or high yield savings. To me it's kind of like burrying your money in the back yard incase Y2K destroys the banks.

I thought it cost more due to availability, not popularity. And then the higher price has made it more popular. There are pros & cons of both white gold & platinum. the cost of gold is shooting up too. I'm going with tungsten for mike's ring. I need to get to that. He hasn't given me his size.

This is how I'd do it Us the curved line tool. click, trace a road, click the point where it turns & keep tracing. Press enter when you are done. Now that you have a line, make it bigger by right clicking on it -->format autoshape This is the step on the right side picture. to add street names insert--> text box Once it's all done Select all-->draw-->group right click-->save as picture-->chose .jpg

Gadwin Systems, Inc. - Software for your business. DiagramStudio - program for create diagrams and flowcharts; GeForms - solution for design and filling forms, hundreds of free business forms. I use this software pretty often to post pictures on the forum. I thought others might be interested in it. It's a free download called "Gadwin Printscreen." Click the link & scroll all the way to the bottom. Once you install it, all you have to do is click "print screen" and then say "OK." You will have a picture of whatever was on your screen in a My documents--> printscreen folder. It comes in very handy for snagging protected pictures of dresses off the internet, etc. I use it a lot to show people what buttons I'm clicking on a program. Much easier than typing. I believe Macs already have something like this.

I'm going to find the thread when i made my logo & you can see how clueless I started off as a DIYer. It was my first project & I had so much help. Unfortunatly I didn't realize when I deleted my pictures in photobucket they would be messed up on the forum, so most of the pictures are missing.

Nope, it's not at all poofy. There is a picture on my BDW blog (link below). I seriously need to make a trip an hour so it's something I really took into consideration when picking my dress. I wanted something simple so it wasn't like my entire decision was based on ease of going to the bathroom.

Best site EVER for OOT bags stuff
rodent replied to Saraha's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Wow I wish I knew about this before I made my OOT bags. The minimum order is $50. They have such cheap sunscreen and lotion. -
The thought of this made me scared of getting a poofy dress. I drink a lot of water. My friend was hilarious before her wedding. She kept deciding she needed to pee (mostly nerves) so we kept helping her take off her dress. The photographer got shots of each bridesmaid helping her tie her dress up. 5 minutes before the wedding I was in the bathroom & she came running in in her bra & panties. It was so funny.

Watching Doug watch these was funny too, because he made some comment like "So these two live near us?" and I was like, uh yeah, I told you that before! And then he says something like "So your "friends" (with actual finger quotes!) are real!". Ha! I think he was thinking everyone on here is like, virtual or something. I've noticed since we watched Kate's videos that he is more interested in what everyone on here has to say, and has even asked about some names I've mentioned. Too funny. Men! Thats hilarious! I used to not think the guys mike played video games with were real. I thought he was just playing against the computer. One day he said "the guys always want me to have the bazooka." I laughed & told him he talks about them like they are "real." He explained it to me & I was shocked to know that they were real people. I wonder if he thinks I'm talking to a computer all day too?
