photo scavenger hunt in OOT bag?
rodent replied to Agape Gems's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
So will people just check off how many they found? How do you know your winner? Do they upload it to the photoshare site & then you get a winner? I love this idea. I might have to do it too. I am picturing the things written with a box by them so they can be checked off. I haven't read the whole list yet, but one picture we like taking on vacation is a picture of someone taking a picture of someone posing stupid. That was confusing. An example is on a vacation we took a picture of a girl taking a picture of her friend posing with a menu. -

Its really about you and what you would want to share with other brides. ohh, I can't wait! Super secret clubs are exciting.

Love the idea! I have my starfish ready! How much info goes in a journal entry? Is it just name, wedding date/ location. Or a story?

Oh, I just thought of another. I like this topic I've been working with Kristie on making stuff like business cards. We were joking about how I eat spaghetti every day & how I should get a bold dress that POPs. So this is the business card I designed for her. -

OK here are some of mine. I love doing silly stuff in photoshop My friend has 2 sisters & they joke that if none of them find a man, they will just create a baby together by the magic of science. So this is them & their baby. I took features from each of them to make a face. I've been making pictures for my honorary brdiesmaids. Here are the onces I've done so far. -
Uninvited Guest - the question once again
rodent replied to nylalany's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I think he asked because he wants to know if it's a problem. It sounds like it is so just be honest. I would tell him you already turned in your seting chart. -

OK here is my template And my idea: I will send my guests that template along with their invites & a BB&B insert folded into a dove. I will also send them the "fable of the dove" that I am writing. It is a tale about how when someone sends you an oragami dove you should send them back an oragami dove folded from money. Preferably large bills. Then you will recive good luck for 7 years. Did I find the politest way to ask for money? I think I did. Feel free to "borrow" my ideas.

They will figure it out and usually feel less than adequate. Men hate to think that they can't do something and for themto hear it from the one they love- forget it, even though they would never admit it! BUT - they will take the advice and learn from a stranger, you need a middle man, you stay the nice person and he learns something in the meantime! Whats crush & cuddle? -

My hotel's photographer was bad.

Don't worry, your mom & I have your wedding all taken care of. You just need to show up. I promise, we won't make it tacky.

So my mom doesn't dress tacky anymore, but she used to love fringe on her clothes. And big metal conchos. Now she just decorates tacky. But it's fun for her. She had one of those light up christmas deer in the living room year round. She finally put it outside when she saw a family of lizards was living in it. My old place was way too jungly. I had lions everywhere. I toned it down a lot when I moved in with Mike. The lions are now mostly confined to one area (their den).

You're making me nervous that DIY-itis is spreading across the web! Too late, I've already folded you 100 oragami doves. Your mom asked me to. They are being fedexed to you right now. The best part is they have my registry info so maybe your guests will get me presents. Well, tell them I prefer cash My friend recently made 1000 oragami cranes. If you fold 1000 you get to make a wish. He made them from magazine pages that he cut into squares. I donated a lot of magazines so I got a portion of the cranes. They are flying above my desk at work.

You shoulda seen the shade of red his face was. Is it a cutural thing? Anny is making some beautiful decorative invites in Mexico. I think it might be an upbringing type of thing. I love decorative stuff. But some of my friends think wedding invites have to be ivory with little pieces of tissue and the most decorative the can get is a scripty font & some embossing. I totally don't agree. I get bored with the typical invite. If people thought my bright blue invites were tacky then they can just call me Tacky McTackerson I thought white aisle invites were high class. They look so formal too me.

Some of my married gfs gave me that tip! Sorry, there's no way around saying this: It's tacky to ask for cash. Anybody remember the thread I posted awhile back about the DW invite my FI and I got from a friend in Mexico? First of all, they included a gift registry enclosure, which is tacky anyway -- you should never solicit your own gifts, that's what showers are for, when someone else sends out the invites and can include that info. And also, that's what wedding websites are for, where you can post the info if they want to see it, but its much less agressive than sending it in an invitation. Anyway, the people included little enclosures with the invitation asking for cash gifts and then had the balls to but their bank account numbers "for easy transfer" ---my FI was so offended, he threw out the invite, we didn't attend and we certainly didn't send a gift. If you want things like sheets, pots & pans anyway, why dont you just register for them Then just add a bunch of other stuff from BBB and return it. It's better for you to have the hassle of returning stuff rather than offending your guests. People don't forget that stuff. The DW I mentioned above was in early Nov 07, and our circle of friends is still actively talking about it like it was yesterday anytime anything comes up about wedding etiquette. You can also, at many places, just register for gift cards. I would drop that straight in the trash. No wait, I'd save it so I can show people "can you believe the nerve." Bed Bath & Beyond gave me those little enlosures. I should have gave them back because it seems so wasteful to trash them. Hmm, wonder if I can do a craft project with them. Stick something on the front over the words like it's a piece of cardstock...
